  1. Appreciate the reply mate, i'll pass that on with the usual caveats!
  2. Where did you get that info @Gonzo79or is it just an educated guess? I'm gold and got on official travel club flight to Leipzig so im hoping im fine for the final, but a mate is just under the gold threshold in silver and having kittens about getting a ticket. This would be great for him if it pans out this way.
  3. Absolutely incredible performance, atmosphere, celebration. I didn’t think I’d ever experience something like being in Florence ever again in my lifetime, so so proud tonight. Now I hope we can go on and exorcise the worst day of my Rangers supporting life from my memory banks (Manchester) and see what I’ve always dreamed of but never thought I’d see, Rangers winning a European trophy. The rewards are there, Pot 1 and direct entry of the “big cup” next season, the chance to beat Real Madrid (hopefully) in the Super Cup, countless millions in prize money. Oh, and immortality for these players! Thank you Rangers x
  4. Dare to dream…….. Rangers 2 Leipzig 1 after 90 mins, fgs Tav We score a 119th minute 3rd goal to go through from Scotty Arfield!
  5. Sad news about our fellow fan, bus driver turned kit man Jimmy Bell's death. Always quietly going about his business in the background, a trusted confidant to many over the decades, and a terrible shock and loss to his family at the far too young age of just 57. I dont go as far as to say legend, that's ridiculous, but he will be sorely missed by the players and staff at the club. Hopefully we can use the grief as an inspiration to get a win on Thursday and make a Euro final. As a bluenose just like all of us, it is absolutely what Jimmy would have wanted.
  6. I’ve gone for Tav as well. Davis had a great 1st half but not as influential in 2nd, Wright & Sakala both impressed with their positive running, but the captain was again the driving force, and without whom I think we may have crumbled in the second half. Good use of the squad and subs as well yesterday, got the 3 points and another few days rest for those we will need to be at 100% on Thursday.
  7. I thought we were banning all speculation that comes from that gutter trash comic? That rag gets NOTHING by way of insight from within our club, and therefore any speculation they make up is entirely that, and should not be given any credibility on these pages IMO. Even reading the clips above there is absolutely nothing to link these players with our club.
  8. Leipzig Evens West Ham 2/1 Frankfurt 5/1 Rangers 8/1 1st leg prices Leipzig 2/5 Draw 7/2 Rangers 7/1 To qualify Leipzig 1/5 Rangers 10/3 Perhaps this puts the task ahead into some perspective, it will be a major achievement to qualify for the final, probably the same as beating Dortmund but with a lot more pressure on us.
  9. Roofe may have got it but for that sitter in first half which could have put us on easy street, so step forward our Captain Fantastic who continues to drive this team forward with another magnificent performance. Same again on Sunday please!
  10. Still on cloud 9 after last night. Was still wide awake at 2am buzzing. I cannot believe the number of really top chances we created against a strong side in a Euro QF. I feared we would end up regretting the misses, and while we may regret it more on Sunday than today, I will just bask in this result first and hope the adrenalin can carry us forward and into the Scottish Cup Final. Borna was superb, our captain put in another incredible shift with a cool-headed strikers finish for the opener, Roofe was a constant threat on the break and in the box, Lundstrum strolled it, Ramsay looked class and kept taking up great positions and linking up really well. The only one I thought was dreadful was, as usual, Bombscare Goldson. Cost us the goal yet again, his passing was shocking, and looks the weak link every week. Where did that colossus from last year disappear to? And while i'm not dwelling on negatives, WTF Scotty "Van Vossan" Arfield!!!!! How was that possible? I'm a big fan of his but the more I see that back the more I dont believe what my eyes are showing me! Absolutely over the moon, we're on our way, we're on our way!
  11. I smell a late night here, extra time and maybe even the dreaded pens. Just what we need before Sunday! Anyway, Rangers 2 Braga 1 FGS Roofe
  12. Quietly pleased Nigeria have failed to qualify. Our players can get a good rest in November. Of course that all depends on whether they are still our players by then!
  13. A truly amazing crowd for a charity auld codgers game. I bought a ticket weeks ago but I don’t go to friendlies/codgers games. Watched a bit of the first half and first 20 mins of second, sounded a great atmosphere and a special occasion but the football was mostly pretty lame stuff as expected from old fat guys! Gazza looks awful, I was pretty shocked to see how bad he looks, poor guy. Not sure if this should be discussed separately but I see there has been a dream scene painting unveiled tonight, absolutely top drawer, it’s going into the museum. Got lots of legends in a dressing room scene, really quite stunning.
  14. Tav for me, can’t believe I’m going for a player who missed a pen but he drove us on and is growing as a captain and leader all the time. Goldson had a much better second half than first (could say the same for most of them) and was a close second. I actually thought Arfield was the best in the first half, and was surprised he got hooked. I did have faith we would turn it around, and backed us at 5/4 at HT to win the match. Dundee are poor and the way they chased us in first half wasn’t sustainable for 90 mins. I felt it was only a matter of time before we found a way through. Glad we stuck with it, I think the players knew we have no wriggle room left this season. I was quite proud of them leaving Dens Park after the match. Very gratifying seeing our team guts it out when in a hole. Of course it’s better to be 3 up in 20 mins!
  15. We are 2/1 to win the league (biggest price we have been since very early last season) and 16/1 to win Europa. We need to win at least 6 of our 7 league games (maybe all 7) and probably 3 out of 5 to win Europa, but against a much higher quality of opponent. 6 of our remaining 7 are against top 6 SPFL sides, with two against the leaders. What our European exploits have shown us is that we can, and usually do, bring our A game against better sides. If we bring our European form into our 7 league games then even the corrupt officiating won’t be able to stop us. It’s a big IF but certainly not beyond us.
  16. Of course they can, they contact their international manager and explain that the club that pay their wages are going for 3 trophies and have a huge run of fixtures coming up. Surely any international manager would understand such a position. Or a slight niggling injury, I don’t care which! I can understand if it’s a final qualifier for World Cup but there aren’t any of those that our main players are involved in I don’t think during this break. International football should not be taking place at this time of year anyway, it cost us dearly in 2008.
  17. Only 8 league games left and we need to win the lot so no room for resting here. All of our international players should be withdrawing from their respective squads to get a few days off before our run-in with nothing but big games in the next few weeks. Anyone putting international football ahead of our club at this time with all these big games coming up is seriously misguided.
  18. The answer will be known by 3rd April, so not long to wait to find out. Win every league game between now and then (only 3 I think!) progress in the Scottish Cup, and reach QF of Europa and all is good. Don’t need to spell out what anything less (certainly domestically) will mean.
  19. There were emails out from the club during the week saying but your galant pioneers top now, 50% off, and the team will be wearing them on Saturday at our anniversary game. We see the squad warming up for the game wearing the tops, complete with names and numbers which is unique for warm ups, then come out the tunnel in our normal kit. The strips were clearly made up to be ready to be worn in the game but something has happened to stop it. It’s not a big deal and I don’t care in so much as we won the game which was the only important thing, but to lie to fans to try to sell more castore merch, after the week we’ve had in our marketing department, must see heads roll.
