  1. Great tackle at full stretch from Jack who has improved from a poor start, just like quite a few of our defensive players.
  2. Thinking back to the pre-match build up on BT, and Super Ally informs us that the Benfica defender Otamendi is worth targeting as he has a mistake in him. Quite brilliant foresight!
  3. Our confidence is clearly up now, even Borna is shooting from 25 yards with his right foot!
  4. Rob McLean update. He has clearly got news of a death in the family in the last 10 mins as he is weeping through his mic. He is clinging onto the hope that we might regret Aribo’s missed header. I’m actually enjoying his pain and obvious discomfort. How Alex Rae hasn’t lamped him by now is unbelievable.
  5. Oh Joe! A free header for Aribo from 6 yards centre of goal and he’s put it wide.
  6. After 15 mins I was hoping we were not going to get an absolute mauling, now I will be gutted if we don’t win this! Incredible scenes!!!
  7. One of the most unbelievable turnarounds in a game within 10 minutes I think I have ever seen at this level.
  8. Great work from Tav whose drilled ball across is slashed into his own net by a defender
  9. Benfica have taken off their best player to shore up the defence, so that is another small positive to take here.
  10. Long ball over the top, defender takes out Kent at edge of box, free kick and a man advantage. Cmon Gers! And Rob McLean is devastated, which is nice.
  11. Torrential rain now, can we hope for an abandonment?
  12. You can’t afford to give a good side a goal of a start. Apart from the goal itself, the confidence it has given them is obvious to see.
  13. Ffs what a dreadful start. Rob McLean is overjoyed.
  14. Arfield will be gutted, and Jack replacing him weakens our side on current form IMO. If that is a weakened Benfica side then all the better, I will definitely take a draw tonight without a doubt.
  15. Good to see. Sadly we are a very long way away from Glasgow going into tier 1 so we have no chance of returning to Ibrox this winter.
  16. McGregor for me. A great save in second half, plus a great clearance amongst many bodies in squeaky bum time, and all round confidence and cajoling others in front of him. From the outfield players Aribo had a fine first half as did Arfield. Morelos gave them a lot of trouble and Itten got better as game went on. No bad performances at all but no stand outs.
  17. Delighted at the 3 points and a hard fought victory but second half was really poor, subs were bafflingly negative, and tactically all over the place in second half. We allowed Kilmarnock to completely dictate the game for almost an hour, and that is very worrying. There was no difference between our game here this season and last season apart from Brophy missed his chances this time. Perhaps we have got a wee bit of luck this time that has been missing in recent years. We are looking tired now, this run of games has really taken a toll. 3 consecutive European midweeks twice already this season plus a lot of tough domestic away fixtures. Still, very proud indeed of our season to date, the results have been incredibly positive and I wouldn’t have believed our run of results if you’d told me this is where we would be by this stage of the season.
  18. Agreed @CammyF, don’t know if we have took our foot off the gas or Kellie have changed tactically but we are no longer dominant and HT will be good for us to get to with our lead intact and allow us to regroup.
  19. You’re reading this the wrong way round, with respect to you. To my mind Castore shouldn’t be doing any business with Ashley because of Ashley’s record. Why would anyone want to do business with someone so litigious and who wouldn’t think twice about shafting them at any opportunity? He is completely toxic and it shows terrible business acumen (IMO) from Castore to sign a deal with the devil. In whatever field of business you are in there will be companies you know should be avoided because of their business practices. In football, by far the worst culprit is Ashley.
