Thats quite an amazing stat @ian1964, I wonder if it will still be the case when the first leg comes around, I doubt it somehow but even at this stage of the season for none of last seasons champions (or even top 2/3/4) to be top of their league this year is probably unprecedented. The Europa draw itself is brutal, but thankfully we avoided the worst of it. If we had drawn Antwerp in the group stages we would be saying fine, no problem, who else have we got! So from that perspective and seeing some of the other ties, I am delighted with what we have got and it should see us progress comfortably to the last 16 again and March European football.

It’s fair to say Goldson & Tav were berated last season, and that criticism was entirely justified as they were caught out numerous times for goals, and those goals cost us games. It’s also fair to say that both players are almost unrecognisable from those performances last season and have, through coaching and personal desire to improve, both completely upped their game to a level most Rangers fans couldn’t have believed was possible. It’s truly magnificent to see the transformation of these players, and they are well worthy of the praise that they are getting this season.

Steven McLean really is utter scum. Has been dreadful all half, breaking up the game, slowing down the taking of free kicks etc, taking ages to speak to players. Ensuring we have the minimum momentum possible to establish our game. Yet again, we get a corner and he blows for time up before we get to take it.
