  1. Aribo in a forward position? Interesting! Great to see Tav getting the night off and a chance for the highly promising Patterson to shine, nothing less than a goal and an assist will be accepted young man! Another chance for Itten to start and show he can do the job, and hopefully he and Hagi can link up well and create some goalscoring chances.
  2. I remember that well, the group included a trip to Livorno in the school October week so I could take my son to his first away Euro tie, aged 10, and got the most soaked I have even been at a football match amidst a real downpour that lasted the whole match and made the recent game in Liege look like a mere trickle.
  3. Wouldn't argue against that @buster. in fact I would prefer it myself, I just dont see SG doing it!
  4. I can’t see any way Goldson & Tav don’t start, because they always do! McLaughlin, Tav, Goldson, Balogun, Barasic (as he was rested on Sunday) Hagi Zungu Arfield Itten Morelos Kent That would be 4 changes from our normal side with McGregor Davis Kamara Roofe all getting ready for Tannadice but available for the bench if required. It is rumoured Poznań will not be playing a full strength side either so it should balance out. For me this is as much a must win as any. The extra cash, the coefficient point, the seeding and just the prestige of topping a tough group ahead of Benfica are all huge for us and we should be doing everything in our power to ensure a victory. I would only be happy with a draw if Benfica match it. Poznan were an organised but stuffy side that we should have beaten more comfortably at Ibrox and we should certainly be looking to beat them again tomorrow.
  5. They are clearly holding off till they win the cup final v hearts and seal, in their deluded and cheating mind, another treble and hope that is the catalyst for an upturn in fortune. Expect their favourite Whistler, Clancy the cheat, to be ref and Hearts to be denied everything they are due in the pursuit of another trophy to paper over the cracks. I can only believe Lawwell thinks they will improve and we will bottle it and collapse after new year, as we have done the past 2 years. I think his arrogance will be his undoing. Rarely in the history of football does a lost dressing room become found in the same season without managerial change.
  6. We are just wonderful to watch this season and we have found a level of consistency I have never seen from a Rangers side. Yes we went 44 games in 92/3 but there was a lot of draws and games we looked like losing and played poorly in during that run, not this year.
  7. We simply have to sell one player for £15m plus in January to finance ourselves through to the summer. If we sell 2 players we can buy one. We have too many players, too high a wage bill, no room for youths to come through and get their chance, and we have to be realistic about our finances. If never again means never again, we have to balance our books. We have got ourselves in such a good place in terms of quality and depth of squad, there is not one player I think we couldn’t do without now, which is first time in 20 years I think I can say that.
  8. Finally managed to embed a tweet! Thought this one was worth the effort, fantastic audio and shows everything about what we are all about this season. The hardest part of this clip for me is to stop watching it, I’m hooked on it!
  9. Finally SG has remembered to use subs to kill momentum and run down the clock
  10. Roofe had to score there and kill this off. Hope we don’t regret it....
  11. 2 great saves from free kicks by their keeper, fair play to him, the second from Barasic was shagger-esque
  12. Oh ffs that’s beautiful! Arfield finishing off a lovely move. 3-2 Bears from nowhere
  13. Looking at the first goal again, you could say they are all to blame partly for that one too. Very unlike our defenders, who have been quite magnificent all season. Hope that’s all their mistakes or the next couple of months out the way tonight!
  14. Agree with that, all of the back 4 messed up their own job for the second imo
  15. So we made it to HT level at Desmond. Phew! We just were not at the races at all, second all over the pitch, but our mentality and creativity means we can now get goals out of nothing. The new penalty rules have been awesome for us too! What could the score have been if we played well? I hope we will find out in the second half and confirm our qualification for February European football.
  16. Probably the worst 40 minutes from us since Livingston away, and then we get a goal out of nothing to get back in it, only for our entire back 4 to go to sleep all at once to allow Liege to retake the lead, only for us to go back up the park and get a very lucky penalty to equalise again. Please let us get to HT now, it’s only a minute.........
  17. The whole point of C1872 members giving them money for share purchases is to put the money into the club. Not to send this money away to South Africa never to be seen or benefitted from again. If King wants to sell his shares and can make a profit on them, then he should do so, and we would expect him to have the integrity to not sell to an outsider with no love for the club. That in itself is a big ask but there you are, we are a demanding bunch and he knows that full well. If we think what the club could do with £13M of new money, it could well set us up for the next couple of years, ensure we only have to sell 1 or 2 players instead of more, perhaps allow us to strengthen further, or to invest in our stadium and facilities. I would 100% back any investment where the money goes to the club directly. I will have no part of a legacy where the only legacy is King riding off into the sunset with his "investment" back at the expense of the fans.
