Livingston apart, that’s the worst 45 we have put in all season. Need a rocket up them at HT to make this game safe first and foremost, then to try to boost the goal difference and confidence. Morelos, Kent, Jones all pretty anonymous, and Kamara & Jack not doing anything to help create space or up the tempo. Arfield not able to find the pockets of space in between the lines because there is no space in between the lines. The back 9 of County are well disciplined and organised, snapping into tackles in the last third to prevent us getting our heads up, limiting us to passing into feet with our back to goal which is not allowing any chances to shoot.

As quite often happens after a big European night, there is a flatness and lack of urgency to our play today. The manager freshened things up to try to avoid this but so far it’s been pretty turgid stuff. Thankfully we got a goal from nothing or it would be even more worrying and frustrating.

I see we have freshened things up a bit and given Davis the day off. I hope that doesn’t bite us as he has been tremendous recently and really drives the midfield forward. Ryan Jack is the opposite to that but I hope he has been watching Davis while he has been out to see how he should be playing. Frustrating to see Itten missing again, but another chance for Jones to show he can bring consistency to his game. After the bheasts luck escape again, we must win convincingly today to go into the OF game next time out at the top and in good form. Lets do this!!!!!

It is the normal 6 game group stage, so we play each side home and away. First games are on 22 October, then the next 2 Thursdays, a 3 week break then the last 3 games on consecutive Thursdays.

Very even first half, two evenly matched teams trying to find the right balance of attack and defence. It has felt very nervous, a bit squeaky bum time from about 20 mins in. That’s going to make for a very long night! It looks like it will come down to a bit of brilliance or a mistake to find a winner here, or perhaps a set piece. We are well in this, but need to up the tempo a bit and try to force the issue, force them back a bit, and get some shots in. On a separate note, am I the only one who cringes when watching the everyone anyone advert? I’ve got to the stage now I have to mute it.
