  1. I was trying to forget this game! Went for Borna, can’t remember being too angry with him last week unlike so many others. Should be an option for “not awarded”
  2. Agree with the comments above. Superb production from pre-match all the way through to post-match interviews. If we could only bin the overly long EA advert at HT and have more analysis or highlights it would be perfect. The addition of “The Gaffer” was fantastic. Sky started well at Dolly, but spoiled it at Livi by enforcing the utter scumbag Walker on us when not one Rangers fan wants to hear anything he has to say, He has no tactical insight and sees everything through a rabid tims angle. Compare and contrast to our own production with fantastic tactical analysis, professional and fair commentary and interviews with proper questions looking to get insight into the manager and players tactics and gameplans, to help the fans understand why things were done the way they were.
  3. Went for Kent, very direct and ran at Killie throughout, much better from him today. Barker a close second, tried hard without much success but kept coming back for more, hopefully there is a player in there after all that’s been well hidden thus far. Both full backs getting assists is very pleasing, Helander made a couple of very timely interceptions, Jack & Davis played 20 yards further forward than Jack & Kamara have been playing and both even played some forward passes! We look as if we have many gears still to go up, we still overpass and don’t take men on often enough in final third to create holes, but everyone done their job today apart from the keeper, who was completely redundant again. Just the way I like my keepers!
  4. Notably, with McGregor available again he only makes the bench with McLaughlin keeping his place.
  5. And at last the Jack-Kamara partnership is binned for this type of game, with Jack retaining his place and joined by Davis, with Barker Roofe Itten & Kent all playing with Hagi benched.
  6. Fixed that for you! Oh wait a minute.............
  7. Is it safe to come back on yet? Been avoiding the place since the game on Sunday, I was so angry and frustrated and disappointed and many other emotions that I thought it best to leave it 48 hours to let my exasperation subside! That has seemed to have worked as I am much calmer now. I take it the common thread in the previous 26 pages was "we were pish, again!" with some formations and tactics (lack of) discussions thrown in? And of course we are never going to win the league if we can't beat Livingston?
  8. Poor choice of words on my part. I wasnt intending to infer the 4 were not trying, clearly they were, but the game died away with the changes we made and instead of racking up a few more goals, we really saw the game out, which disappointed me and I am sure quite a lot of fellow Bears as well. I still put a lot of the dips in tempo down mainly to the empty stadiums and lack of atmosphere. This is something we have to find a way of overcoming. We are not the only side struggling to find a way round this of course, simply the only one I care about.
  9. Was just a bit of light hearted ribbing Bill. Don’t know where you get the impression I don’t like Jack from. On the contrary I get frustrated with his performances because I think there IS a player in there but he too often takes the easy option and doesn’t back himself to either shoot or play the difficult forward pass. A bit like Barry Ferguson in his final year or so that earned him the nickname on my bus of “square baw Barry”. Im much happier with Jack in the side than not, but I believe he has a lot more within him to add to his performances than we mostly get from him, and I believe he could be so much better than we are seeing.
  10. Wow, sounds amazing, wish I’d seen that game! Amazing how we see it differently. I genuinely didn’t notice him bar a few square passes between him, Kamara, and the defence deep in our own half.
  11. Our Scottish nazi “government” balls it up yet again, ably assisted by our football authorities. The most insane measures being brought in to ensure Dolly and the Bheasts get off Scot-free and they somehow manage to take it out on the rest of football who have done absolutely nothing wrong.
  12. Easy one this week, Barasic for me as well. I’m assuming the vote for Jack was someone’s finger slipped and hit the wrong button! Honourable mentions for McLaughlin with a couple of good saves, and Kent was good in parts and chipped in with another good goal.
  13. McCann’s HT tactical analysis Was better than anything you will get on BBC, Sky or BT regarding Scottish football. Simply superb. That’s the kind of thing I want from the pre/ht/ft pundits. Explain to us mere mortals how the game was won and lost, how managers changed their tactics and changed the game, or got it wrong. Not just the headline grabbing bluster just to be controversial or try to get players (Rangers usually) into trouble. We don’t need to be told it’s a lovely move, we can see that. Tell us why it worked. Of course that would make 95% of pundits unemployed, and I’m ok with that.
  14. We were rubbish for the first 20 minutes up until Barasic's stunner. We were rubbish for the last half hour when we made changes that weakened the team and those that came on didnt do anything to try to grab a shirt for the next game. I was happy with the changes we made and the timing of them, but disappointed at the attitude of the 4 who came on, who done a combined hee-haw in 30 minutes. The 40 minutes during which we scored the 3 goals was more like it. A marked increase in tempo, passing, pressing, running into space. It's lovely to watch when in full flow. Oh how we are hard to please these days!
  15. Whoever signed off this deal needs to be sacked immediately. So out of touch with the feelings of the fans who are sick of biased negative reporting of our club from this utter scum of a rhag. This must be rescinded or a lot of the good feeling the fans have for this board will start to evaporate.
  16. As much chance of that happening as them saying they didnt win the 19-20 title because the season wasnt completed. We can dream however!!
  17. I dont think 7 players for 3 spots can be seen as being short of numbers. We are clearly short of quality, and the Jack-Kamara partnership is really not working as both are far too defensive and both cover the same ground. One is enough, happy to rotate them, to allow Aribo to get forward, and we need a third player of quality to finish that area off. None of Arfield, Davis, Docherty, McCrorie or Barjonas are the quality we are needing for a full season although on their day all could make a contribution, and we know SG is looking to bring one quality midfielder in, but will perhaps need to offload 2 or 3 of this list to make room for the wages. I think our squad is far too bloated all over with average players who are way below the quality of the first picks, and leaves no room for our youth players to force their way in. Our youth players, much lauded over the last 12-18 months, have had very little opportunities to show if they can step up, and are not going to get any when there are big wages players ahead of them in name only because we cant get rid of them.
  18. Where is the disciplinary action being taken against Dolly & the Bheasts for their players actions? Does anything think for a minute that if one of our players had broken the rules in such a manner that our club wouldnt be the subject of a disciplinary action, with all the talk being of huge fines, points deductions, player suspensions etc? A statement that pats bheasts on the back for flinging their player under the bus is hardly protecting the integrity and reputation of the game. Going further, if it was us and we had a Euro qualifier taking place next week and knowing full well that if a team cannot fulfil their fixture they are flung out, I know exactly what our penalty would be.
  19. As I suspected Bayer are eliminated in the very next round. Completely outplayed by Inter who should have been out of sight were it not for some good goalkeeping and some very poor finishing. Having watched Bayer again there I am more certain than ever that Braga were the best opponent we faced in Europe this year, but perhaps it was our lucky escape we didn’t play Inter, they looked excellent and will be hard to prevent lifting the trophy.
  20. The problem with football matches is the before, HT and after the match, not the sitting on your bum part. You know how the concourses and food stalls get, the queues to get in from 2.45 onwards, the stairwells at FT, etc. There is not a chance of social distancing happening at stadiums. I still dont understand how pubs are open ahead of practically anything else, like schools, gyms, churches, sports halls. Pubs are the main reason another wave will happen, and has been happening throughout the world. As soon as alcohol is involved, all normal sensible protocols go out the window as a very large number of people cannot behave with a drink in them. I am happy from a selfish POV that pubs are open, I enjoyed watching the Dolly & Bayer matches in a properly-spaced out pub and had a few pints along the way which was a great feeling after such a long time without, and from an economic perspective we have to try to get our economy back going again. I have digressed a bit from the match thread here, so I will also say how much I am looking forward to us continuing our good form against the other Saints mob on Wednesday night and hopefully get to see a bit more from Itten, and see how SG rotates his huge squad in midfield/forward areas.
  21. Agree the level of production was a huge improvement on what it normally is. Professionally presented by Emma Dodds, great pundit in McCann, Alex Rae I don’t think is as good but today he was fine, decent co-comms from KT, (thought he was a little subdued, he’s been better) and the legend Tyldesley on comms was absolutely superb. I was delighted the truly awful fake noise was binned at HT. Hope it’s the last time we hear it on RTV. While they are at it, bin the music and PA announcers, they are not required in an empty stadium. Don’t pretend we are there when we are not.
