If he knows one verse he will know more than Murty!
-
that would make the most sense, cant see him getting in the side anywhere.

The big issue with this is the deliberate downplaying of our players worth, while the overvaluing of the tims players helps them enormously in getting big transfer fees. The tims bought Dembele for under £1M, yet within a couple of months the stories of English teams lining up £20-£40M bids were circulating widely in Scotland, despite absolutely no evidence of him being worth much more than they paid for him. These players play in the same league as our players, and if some of our players (Morelos, Saturday apart), are scoring more and looking better than their player Dembele, then how the hell can the poorer player be worth 20 times more than the better player? The Scottish media have a huge part to play in the valuations of players, make no mistake, and the tims have benefitted from this many times over with hugely overinflated fees achieved for mediocre players. Contrast with the downplaying of the worth of Lewis McLeod, Barrie McKay, Martin Waghorn etc. For the goals Waghorn scored here, a young striker with potential, scoring goals in a poor side, selling to the hugely overinflated English market, the tims would have got £5-£8M for him no problem, with planted paper stories claiming multiple teams were lining up £10M+ bids for him and accentuating the positive attributes to his game while ignoring the negative. Instead we had stories about really derisory bids. English championship clubs spend more on purchasing academy players than we got for Barrie McKay, an international player who was MOTM in an OF cup semi final. McKay should have been attracting bids of around £10M IF we could control the narrative better. THis to me is our boards biggest challenge. How do we get positive coverage from a bitter media who are firmly in our opponents camp? Sadly, I have seen nothing yet to make me think our MD and PR guys are up to the task.

That is a disgusting piece of utter hatred coming from this cretin. The real story would be that, even in the White-hot atmosphere of an OF game, even when we haven't beaten them in 8 attempts, that we can still appreciate our strikers efforts even though he missed some great chances. Where else in the world do you get a support as staunchly supportive of their side who continuously under-achieve and are miles behind in third place in a two horse race. Now that's a story that should be written, not this poisonous claptrap. I hope our board are already talking to his bosses about this drivel.

If we had Laudrup in this side we would be top of the league by a distance. And that's him 20 years older now than in his prime!

I was only predicting that someone would have a gif of it on twitter soon! Thanks for posting it! It doesnt get old, and is always funny!

That was quick. See post #83!!

He didnt actually say that did he? I know the first time he took interim charge it was widely rumoured he grew up a tim, but surely he didnt come out and say that post-match. On top of the defense of the tackle on Jack a few days ago, perhaps he should let Jimmy Nick do the pressers from now on.

lol, van honkedonk. I think you got that right Rousseau!! That is actually what I called him when he played for them!

Murty seems to have negative tactics sorted out no problem. That is trips to Hearts, Aberdeen, Hibs and celtic, plus Dolly at home in this spell as temp manager and got 13 points out of 15. His problem is in the "easy" games where we have 0 out of 12 from Dundee, Hamilton, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone. He can clearly set us up well when the emphasis is not to lose, and try to sneak something on the break or with the few chances that come our way. But a Rangers manager must be able to set us up to break down teams that do the same to us, and his record in those games is pretty shocking. Given we play more of those type games than the backs to the wall type games, it goes without saying he has to find a way to win those games or he wont last the season. Our keeper had his easiest game of the season, and Wilson and Bates (and Alves for 20 mins) all put in great performances. The surprise for me was how well John and Tav defended. Very professional, very focused. I kept hearing how Sinclair and Forrest are superstars and are tearing defences to pieces every week. Well neither of our full backs are very good defensively, but they had the two super-wingers in their pockets, save one lovely run from Sinclair where I thought Candieas and Tav got in each others road. In midfield it was all about stifling them. McCrorie and Holt gave us a solid base, while Nico struggled with the pace of the game but still worked hard, kept the shape, and linked up well with our wingers and Morelos in the few occasions we had possession in forward areas. Our two wide players were excellent defensively, but contributed very little as an attacking threat. Candieas put in a couple of good crosses, but neither player got in beside Morelos to help at any time. And as for our star striker, well he had a bit of a stinker, on the biggest stage of all. Could have walked off with the match ball on another day. He works really hard, but he is there to score goals and take chances, and today was not a good day for him. I would have bitten your hand off for a goalless draw before the game, so I am delighted with the result. But every time I see them, the tims look a really poor side. I have no idea why they are lauded so much. I read online that there is nobody in the Rangers team that would get into the celtic team, and that may be so for celtic supporters, but there is nobody in their side I would want to spend big money on to bring to us either. I like Griffiths but wouldnt want him at Rangers, Gordon is definitely an improvement on Wes but isnt worth £20Kpw, Sinclair didnt look anything special to me, Dembele looks like a player they bought for £500K (will never understand how they have managed to manipulate the press into talking him into a £20M player) and I would prefer Morelos to him. Armstrong, Brown, Forrest & McGregor are all average players that wouldnt get into any celtic side of the 90's or 00's, never mind our side. If only we had a decent manager, this season could have been so so so much different.

Good point for us that could have been all 3, but also could have been a heavy defeat. A draw about fiar as both teams were pretty dreadful and a lack of quality throughout. Only one of the teams cost tens of millions though. Tims booed at full time by all the bheasts who lumped on their heroes at the bookies!
-
Crocker willing on his heroes to get a late winner
-
Good defending by us there, all hands to the pumps now as we go into injury time. 2 mins added time to go.
-
Anytime anybody goes near Brown, he just jumps up and lands on his arse and gets a foul.
-
Morelos off now for Herrera. Very disappointing afternoon for our striker.
-
The bheast centre half clearly fouls Morelos, a routine free kick at the half way line. But the way he moans to the ref about it is exactly what they all do at every opportunity. Brown finally carded, but only a yellow for a red card offence. Shocking studs up challenge on Morelos.
-
Well we knew the dives were going to start soon enough, but no card for Forrest. Tierney defending poorly as usual. That boy is so overrated.
-
Squeaky bum time has started early!!!
-
Pena on now for Nico with 10 mins to go. Seems a like for like.
-
Oh FFS Morelos thats a sitter son to make yourself a hero
-
who the feck is this coming on for the bheasts, another brick outhouse?? Bheasts going to go long and pressure aerially given they havent got anywhere so far trying to get round the outside. Probably going to throw it into the box at every opportunity and hope they get lucky or a dodgy pen.
-
Fantastic choo-choo by Morelos on that bassa Brown, that will be a gif on twitter later on for sure!! (shame about the shot when a pass was better)
-
Unbelievable save, great work from Tav, great header from Morelos.
-
Crocker on Sky should just start saying "we" instead of celtic, the bias is excruciating.
-
Good spell for us now, fans in great full voice, if only we can get a goal
