I felt the same about Smiths 1st appointment as I do about Ally's. I am behind Ally 100% I am not behind the decision to appoint him though.

I feel that Smith was better in his 2nd spell. Of the games you mention think about the 2 Lyon games. If you can beat a team away from home 3-0 then why couldn’t you take a draw from them at Ibrox? Smith also had a few shockers in his 2nd spell. The Kaunas 1 being in my view the worst. What’s your point of view on Ally being appointed?

I am not a fan of Ally being given the job. I don’t think that we should ever appoint a rookie.

Hi 54, His tactic not tactics got us to the final and when his tactic failed we lost that final. If you are going to defend Smith then I don't feel that invoking his European record will bring you success. Your point about 10 out of 12 I’ve answered in the above post. For the record I’m an atheist so christ has no say in my life. If he had won 12 out of 12 and the EUFA cup I would have been happy in what had been done, but not the way it was done. Fair enough Danny. I am glad that he is gone. If you had the option would you have given him say another 3 years? I can list you all the things I don't like about his management but I'm sure you have heard them all before.

Reason 1. We got rid of SDM. Reason 2. We won the league. Reason 3. Europe after x-mas. Reason 4. We got rid of Smith. Reason 5 We won an old firm cup final. I put them in order of importance to me. I was a fan of SDM for about 2 years then my point of view started to change on him. If we won nothing but got rid of him, the season would have been a good one. The league, Europe and cup speak for themselves. I was never a big fan of Smith particularly in his first spell. I was not happy that he was back. I think that he has done remarkably well in his second go, however I am glad that he is gone. What do you guys think?
