  1. More Rangers fans around the world that due to location, disability cost etc never go to games but would be happy to spend some money. The Motherwell scheme with different cost levels looks great.
  2. Could be set at different amounts with different benefits like kickstarter example
  3. i'm on benefits so not much spare, but could do a tenner a month. If that was the cost it would put what we pay inbetween Barcelona and Real Madrid, and the same as Partick thistle.
  4. Cheers Frankie, sorry thought you meant trying to get all the factions to unite. I'm sure all the logistical stuff could be taken care of by the club.
  5. Cheers Frankie. If the new scheme was administered by the club then it cuts threw all that bullshit. I'm half crippled so dont go to many games but i would love something like this. Anybody think it could be 1st step towards a Barcelona style sohos (sp) Ive read a few times that somehow we need to all get along, it's never gonna happen, support is to big. A scheme like this administered by the club could lead to great things.
  6. Frankie, why do we need a scheme that takes into account historic issues?

  8. Jane Lewis ‏@JaneLewisSport No radio or TV interviews on the BBC from #Rangers 2day. Sorry about that folks - BBC not invited 2 2days media conference.
  9. I did not want Ally to be our manager. I feel that no mans first managerial position should be the Rangers job. I thought the players playing out of position the european results and the form around christmas had proved me right. However with all that has happened fae Feb 14th I now feel that he will gain experiance as we win threw to the SPL and then see what he is made of.
  10. Looks good. keep up the good work. I don't post much. but I read a lot and appreciate the site.

  13. Does anybody know what's involved in becomming a lotto agent? I'm half crippled and therfore can't go to many game, but I want to help our club out. I was wondering if it could all be done online? If anybody could give me some details I would appreciate it. Many thanks.
  14. I thought I heard Spence say that it was only 10% down which made me double take. Looks more like 30% to me. Did anybody else hear him?
  15. If the shoe was on the other foot, do you think the tims would use it? I think they would.
  16. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=1961&newsCategoryID=3&newsID=10229 Clarification on Rangers FC Appellate Tribunal Friday, 20 July 2012 The Scottish FA can tonight clarify the position surrounding the outstanding Appellate Tribunal related to Rangers FC Oldco. It has been agreed with Sevco Scotland Ltd that the registration embargo will be accepted as a primary condition of a transfer of membership. It is necessary to complete the judicial process following the determination by Lord Glennie in the Court of Session that required the Independent Appellate Body to revisit available sanctions relating to Oldco, having been found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute. The Scottish FA indicated to Sevco Scotland Ltd that they had to accept responsibility for any sanctions arising out of this case as a condition of transfer of membership. Rather than convening the Appellate Tribunal to determine from the sanctions available to it, the company directors of Sevco Scotland Ltd have chosen to accept the 12-month registration embargo. This embargo will begin on 1st September 2012 and end on 31st August 2013. Sevco Scotland Ltd have also undertaken to accept all other outstanding conditions relating to Oldco’s charges of bringing the game into disrepute. The conditional offer of transfer will now be submitted to the Appellate Tribunal for its consideration. This will form part of the approval process for the transfer of membership which, once approved, will enable Rangers FC to take a considerable step towards participating in Irn Bru Division Three. In addition to the above, the Scottish FA has also received the necessary financial information requested and this is being considered as part of the application process. Subject to the completion of all legal documentation, we anticipate transfer of membership next week. The imposition of conditions relating to transfer of membership was made on the basis that the Scottish FA, as the governing body, has an obligation to protect the integrity of the national game and to ensure that all member clubs operate within the Articles of Association.

  19. Alex Thomson case dropped An odd footnote to the Rangers saga was resolved on Tuesday. Strathclyde Police confirmed that their investigation into an alleged threat made by an unnamed Scottish journalist against Alex Thomson, Chief Correspondent of Channel 4 News, has closed after no evidence was found. A Strathclyde Police spokesperson told The Daily Telegraph: “An investigation was carried out but we were unable to establish any evidence of criminality.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9357195/Rangers-problem-dumped-on-laps-on-Scottish-Football-League-clubs.html Liar.
  20. http://blogs.channel4.com/alex-thomsons-view/rangers-apology/2041 A facet of the long-running Rangers story has been the creative use of the internet and IT to comment on the saga from all sides, from all kinds of fans. For some time I have been collecting such examples as they represent often highly-creative comment on the issues. This morning I posted one such example which shows a statue of former Rangers player and director, John Greig, “walking away” from Ibrox. Mr Greig – along with other former Rangers directors was recently cited in a legal Tribunal ruling by the Scottish Football Association. Central to their ruling was that key directors – including Mr Greig – had not acted properly whilst the club was mismanaged. This covers the time when Mr Greig was at the club, before he resigned. Therefore, I took this spoof video purely as a comment on John Greig “walking away” from Ibrox and nothing more. However, it is true that this statue commemorates those who died in the Ibrox Park disaster. Some have interpreted this as disrespectful to their memory. I was aware of the significance of the statue, but did not interpret that this image was designed to make a cruel link between those that lost their lives and the recent Rangers story. I immediately deleted the tweet and issued an unreserved apology – but Twitter is not always the best place for thorough explanation and apology –so I wanted to set out exactly what happened in my blog. I completely and unreservedly apologise for any offence caused.” John DC Gow ‏@JohnDCGow Re: Ibrox disaster statue @alextomo at 10.23 on twitter says, "I was not aware." Blog at 13:06 says "I was aware."
  21. The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about. Oscar Wilde. He was asking for internet gif's and photoshops so he could put them into a channel 4 news peice. I think he knew exactly what he was doing. You guys see it a diffrent way? Fair enough.
  22. Below is a link to a gif that Alex Thomson sent to his 40,000 twitter followers. Just for a laugh. http://i48.tinypic.com/2s1rh8p.gif Very funny, he thought. When told It was a statue fo 66 people who died at the Ibrox disaster he said he didnt know that and deleted his tweet. From his own blog : "Outside one corner of Ibrox a monument stands to the 66 who were crushed to death on a cold, foggy January night in 1971. Today an empty area, concrete bollards and a small street mark the area where Stairway 13 once stood and those supporters died in the crush." http://blogs.channel4.com/alex-thomsons-view/rangers-rack/818 Live on channel 4 news : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95XT907aUiw It may be open season on the club we love, but fuck me draw the line.
  23. HM Revenue & Customs ‏@HMRCgovuk #Rangers liquidation gives best chance to protect taxpayers and allows sale of club to a new company, ensuring football continues at Ibrox.
  24. HM Revenue & Customs ‏@HMRCgovuk Liquidation allows potential investigation and claims against those responsible for company's recent finances #Rangers HM Revenue & Customs ‏@HMRCgovuk CVA would restrict action against those responsible for company's recent finances #Rangers
