They wouldn't need to at all, so I agree. Ideally, I think moving forward there would be a balanced and fair/appropriate mixture of representation.

I doubt very much that if George Letham was appointed to the board he would be operating on behalf of the RST or anyone's political ambitions. His involvement with the RST would simply be a bonus for the fans in the sense that he would hopefully promote better and more appropriate fan engagement & involvement in the Club.

Seems like a reasonably well worded statement to me.

Frankie's repeatedly said over the past few years that he wouldn't personally be interested in being an official fan representative.

Someone like George Letham who's an RST board member, significant shareholder and part of the 'Three Bears' consortium would possibly be an ideal candidate IMO.

Congrats to Andy Murdoch! Maybe it's not such a bad thing that he hasn't been getting 1st team action until now because if he had then he'd probably have been punted for peanuts like Lewis Macleod was in January.

Just to verify what blueflag said above about traffic, our stats are showing that we had twice as many user sessions around lunchtime today compared to what we had yesterday and it was also the biggest peak in sessions over the past week by around 50%. We also had a LOT of new users on the forum today from all over the UK, but mostly Scottish, so it was quite a busy day on Gersnet.

Folks, as the latest round of the 'sectarian' songs, chants and words debate appears to have grown arms and legs and gone on the rampage again we've had a build-up of literally dozens of different threads on essentially the same subject, some of which have been merged, some of which haven't. So, before posting a new thread on a subject could you please have a browse through the first 3 or 4 pages of the Rangers Chat section to see if there's an appropriate thread already running which you could bump by adding a new post or new article on that subject instead of automatically creating a new one. The same applies to other subject matters as well. Bumping existing threads with new information or articles on that particular subject will save us having repetitive discussions over and over again and will keep the forum a bit more organised for everyone here and all of the forum's readers. Thanks!
