EGM Result: King resolutions pass with 85% of vote
Zappa replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
Why was it a ridiculous question to ask if you've ever lied when you've been harping on for the best part of a year about Dave King being a liar because a judge in a country with one of the most corrupt governments and legal systems in the world called him a liar? Plenty of us here called Charles Green a liar on numerous occasions because he was clearly a pathological liar. Even so, if you'd asked me the same question "have you ever lied?", I'd have responded by saying that I have and that by calling Chuckles a liar I'm probably a hypocrite. You on the other hand aren't willing to admit that you've lied and that you're probably a hypocrite, but would rather try to wriggle your way out of answering the question. No please don't. You've posted it plenty of times and referenced it on dozens of occasions as you repeatedly attempted to attack Dave King's character and suitability for Rangers. It's probably best to just leave it. -
One thing is absolutely certain: Chris Graham will remember that tweet/retweet for the rest of his living days.

A fine gesture BEARGER! Hopefully someone can take you up on the offer.

It was clearly a witch-hunt and blown very much out of proportion by Celtic fans, Rangers haters in the media and anti-RST elements within our own support who were against Chris's appointment to the Rangers board because of their personal dislike of him. That said, the new board were probably left with no choice other than to ask for his resignation because they have a lot of very important and hard work ahead of them and the last thing they need is to be distracted by a scandal or risk their new board's reputation at such an early stage of their tenures. It may even have been a purely business decision based on the new board's perception amongst shareholders and in the city where they could be looking for investment. I feel sorry for Chris, but that's it over and done with now, so it's time to move on.

Gersnet Prediction League 2014/15 (prediction league for Rangers games only!)
Zappa replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
There's still plenty of points up for grabs mate! We've got 11 games to go plus hopefully 4 play-off games, but possibly 6, so with up to 8 points per game available there's still time to catch Little General no problem! -

Don't worry old chap, it's all under control. I collated a double dunter of predictions and results for the Falkirk & Cowden games, but didn't see the point in posting a second screenshot for the game 36 standings table when the only change would have been the game number at the top right. I'll post the results and standings for Tuesday's QotS game later on and it'll be in alignment again. -

Serious question here Alan and before I ask it I don't care about context at all. Have you ever lied? -
It's embarrassing. These stupid laws are more of a shame on the country than the issues they're trying to tackle in the first place.

Stuart McCall officially confirmed as new Rangers manager
Zappa replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
I think you're getting completely carried away and overreacting here. McDowall needed replaced immediately following another shit result and the McCall appointment is a short-term punt to hopefully stop the rot and give us a better chance of promotion. Nothing more. -
That's just completely ridiculous. The world has gone insane.
-
I hope Stuart McCall tells the players they're no longer getting a Thursday off and that today wasn't just a one-off because that is a total and utter disgrace. A Sunday off after a Saturday game is acceptable, but the players should be at Murray Park every single day during the week.

Stuart McCall officially confirmed as new Rangers manager
Zappa replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
Thursday, 12 March 2015 17:30 McCall Appointed Manager Written by Rangers Football Club RANGERS can today confirm that Stuart McCall has been appointed as manager of the club on a short term contract until the end of the season. As part of the move, Kenny Black will become his assistant manager after working with McCall at Motherwell from 2011. McCall met the players at Murray Park this afternoon and took his first training session in preparation for Saturday’s game against Livingston at Ibrox. The former Motherwell boss has been working under Gordon Strachan in the Scottish national team setup and will take the reins from departing caretaker manager Kenny McDowall. As a player McCall signed for the Gers from Everton for £1,200,000 in August 1991 after spending several years at Bradford City. He quickly became a firm favourite with the fans thanks to his boundless energy and tough tackling in the heart of midfield. Born in Leeds, the midfield dynamo was an important member of one of the most successful teams in the club’s history. McCall was undoubtedly one of manager Walter Smith’s most successful buys. His winning mentality inspired other players in the team and he always seemed able to raise his own game in big matches, especially against Celtic. Despite being chosen for the England U21 squad, McCall decided he would rather play for Scotland as his father was a Scot. He would eventually play for the national team on 40 occasions and played for Rangers in 264 matches, scoring 20 goals. In his seven-year spell at Ibrox he won 5 League Championship, 3 Scottish Cup and 2 League Cup medals. A tearful McCall was inducted into the Rangers Hall of Fame in a moment he described as his proudest in football. After helping Walter Smith’s side to 9-in-a-row, the summer of 1998 marked the end of an era and Stuart headed back to his native Yorkshire and his first club Bradford City. Following a four year spell with Bradford including a short stint as caretaker-player manager in 2000, McCall then moved to Sheffield United where he finished his playing career in 2005. McCall was on the coaching staff at Bradford and also acted as assistant manager to Neil Warnock at Sheffield United before leaving to rejoin the Bantams as manager. After a three year period as gaffer at Valley Parade, McCall was appointed Motherwell manager in 2010 where he steered the Steelmen to two consecutive second-place finishes across a four year stay as manager. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/8782-mccall-appointed-manager -
Spoke well and clearly has a realistic, but extremely positive attitude, so hopefully his positivity rubs off on the players.

Welcome back to Rangers Stuart! -
I'd imagine that we'll be hearing something about Ally within a few days or so and I think he'll go without a pay-off.

Personally, I find the language used to describe Chris Graham by some of our own fans a hell of a lot more offensive than a daft tweet/retweet. As others have said, this is clearly a witch hunt, so I fail to see any point whatsoever in discussing the morality or semantics of silly tweets from 2 months ago, but since it's provoked such a lengthy discussion it's worth noting that Twitter is a complete minefield of threats, abuse and genuinely offensive material which in comparison make Chris Graham look angelic. Let's at least try to keep this in perspective.

Yep, an excellent statement from the Club, PM & KM. Best of luck to Kenny for the future. The battle for promotion starts today and it's going to be very a tough one.

Both of the Easdales' positions were untenable, it's that simple. They were in bed with the enemy as far as most Rangers fans were (and are) concerned and they've been directly involved in voting through some absolutely despicable boardroom decisions which weren't in the best interests of the company or the Club. Then there's their use not only of Jack Irvine, but of arseholes from Pacific Quay CSC and lawyers they instructed to threaten and take legal action against Rangers fans, websites and forums. Your sympathies are beyond comprehension yet again and completely misplaced.
-
Try to keep the discussion civil please. You know the policies here.

Have Dave King or any of the new Board actually claimed that they have "incriminating evidence" about Sandy Easdale or are you just making things up and essentially shit-stirring?
