  1. Given we were reportedly in for Sam Johnstone and McGregor renewed a couple of days after he signed for Palace i'm assuming we were waiting to see how that one worked out. Its been a very good window so far, would like to see some moved on. I don't expect any of our core squad to move on. Perhaps a bid may come in for Kamara but i dont see it. Could maybe do with some cover for Roofe but think we are trying to move him on first. If we get 1 out of Kent/Morelos signed after getting Goldson tied up then I dont think anyone can complain.
  2. Rıdvan Yılmaz Transfers to Rangers FC Beşiktaş Futbol A.Ş. reported to KAP that an agreement has been reached with Rangers FC club for the definitive transfer of our professional football player Rıdvan Yılmaz. The statement sent from Beşiktaş Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. to the Public Disclosure Platform is as follows: “About the final transfer of our professional football player Rıdvan Yılmaz to Rangers FC Club; It has been agreed that a guarantee fee of 4,000,000 Euros, a contingent fee of 2,250,000 Euros, and 20% of the net transfer income will be paid to our Company in the event that the player is leased to another club while his contract with Rangers FC is still in effect.” https://bjk.com.tr/tr/haber/84136/ridvan-yilmaz-rangers-fcye-transfer-oldu.html Not a bad deal I think..
  3. Agree fully, we need to get this right. The lazy approach knowing we wont go and support another club is not good enough. Someone at the club needs to take ownership and improve this. Bisgrove or otherwise.
  4. Fully expecting him to vanish for 6 months and appear after the world cup break built like hulk hogan.
  5. Perhaps, however i don't think there is much associated service to be provided with the partnerships we have with the likes of BOXT, 32 red or black rooster. The catering deal and merchandising - 100% service based but should have a dedicated head of service along with matchday tickets and hospitality.
  6. Depends what his remit is. His focus (IMO) seems to be revenue in and not service based. In terms of the first part he is doing ok. Its a long term nut to crack to get us where we need to be commercially, and our exposure last season should make his job easier and revenue capability much higher. But your points of the shop and food stalls are very valid. Whoever is in charge of this stuff needs to get on it. There is only so long people will give good grace to the club around these areas. We understand the current board inherited a basket case of a club and it takes time to transition to a well oiled machine. But it would be nice to see signs of that transition taking place.
  7. Zak Lovelace scored a double apparently. Sounds promising
  8. I agree but think McGregor will be #1. Think Jack will miss livi but play in Europe. His lack of availability is a big problem considering how key he is for us.
  9. If we cant get Kent and Morelos renewed I'd be happy if Ridvan was the last player in and we kept some of the Bassey money to replace them next summer. No real gaps in the squad at the moment and if anything could do with moving a few on. Been a good window for ins and outs and should help our overall financial outlook. Champions League money a massive boost if we can make it. The money we received for Aribo seemed a bit on the low side, but the deal for Bassey was incredible. Well done to the club.
  10. To be fair i thought the same when the rotten mob went out and bought a bunch of little Japanese lads, a tiny croat full back, the smallest man in Israel for right wing and a compact George Michael lookalike winger from Portugal. I thought they would get bodied by the SPFL jobbers. I was very wrong.
  11. I'd be interested to know how often Empoli strikers reach double figures in Serie A. A bit of a yoyo club iirc so goals may be hard to come by
  12. Would cost the same or more as we sold Aribo for, I think he is a good player but not sure we are *that* desperate for an attacking midfielder at the moment. My bad!
  13. I think he is in his last year of Wolves deal. Agree with your findings from what i seen of the lad.
  14. Played for Empoli last season in Serie B i believe
  15. Been linked to Patrick Cutrone, Italian striker at Wolves. https://www.football365.com/news/everton-add-second-wolves-man-to-shortlist-rangers-want-forgotten-molinuex-striker
  16. Great news if we can get Tav to renew. Now to sort Kent and Alf
  17. They must be confident he will come here and do well or they would prefer a deal with cash up front. Similar to us and Bassey they probably know we can command a big fee for him if he plays well. He is already on the radar of elite clubs like Barca and then the likes of Spurs and Frankfurt so a couple of good years here and we wont be able to keep him.
  18. Absolutely, but if i recall correctly Kent had one year left on this deal at Liverpool and no other suitors. So from where we are it was a big signing. He has been a great signing for us, no doubt. I just hope he doesn't walk out the door for nothing in 12 months time.
  19. Perhaps he is signed as a starter, but i see it as an investment too. We can potentially make more money from him in a few years. We know Borna has great games and bad games and not much in between. I'd be comfortable with us investing heavily in a replacement. Thing is with a young player with the profile or Yilmaz there may be time for him to bed in, settle in Scotland, learn a little English etc. I agree completely RE Kent. We overpaid for him IMO. Great signing he has been for us but Liverpool drove a hard deal.
  20. But Heart and Hand said Ajax dont do sell ons.. ? 🤐
  21. Id be hoping we are buying a 1st choice left back for 5+ million. We can do better than Borna. We are profiling a young guy with potential to improve.
  22. Ridvan exactly the profile of player we need to fill our LB spot.
