Hopefully, its a stupid rule and just led to the elite clubs hoovering up all the young talent. That's why the likes of Man U and Wolves spent funny money on guys like Ahmad Diallo and Fabio Silva. When you watch them first hand its impossible to see that value ability wise, but then the clubs aren't just paying for ability. Man City will also sell young players who become 'home grown' eligible if not first team ready as they never lose it and they can always buy them back in future. It also handicaps us big time, Scottish players are generally a lower standard so a forced inclusion of them puts us at a detriment compared to similar market level clubs IE Porto, PSV, Brugge etc

Nation trained not home grown. Home grown needs to be in our youth system for 2(or 3 maybe) years between 16-21 years old.

Wright was a bit part player in a bang average Aberdeen side, the fact he is still here is baffling. The only reason I can think of is he ticks a box for Europe but the emergence of McCausland who is a far superior player should render that pointless moving forward.

Finally, a goal. Great play from Cantwell and Silva finds a finish, very good finish.

Cortes looking very good so far, think he’s been very bright. Raskin and diomande been quiet but wright has been poor. Final ball very low quality when things don’t break down with him.

Every time we look at an Ayr player Gollum gives a free kick.

Silva booked for a challenge that was no where near as bad as the one on Cortes moments before. Cortes looking lively, but ayr coming back into the game.

Who signed off on Doncaster's 2 year notice period, and how that came about. Even top level CEO's don't get that. What was the process for that and what was the requirement? Why should any position on the SPFL be eligible for a renumeration package similar to the prize money for winning the Scottish cup, can the role holder demonstrate and give examples of the value add that make this worth while? Can the SPFL board give the member clubs guarantees for no conflict of interest for individuals employed currently and previously in the private sector by owners of member clubs? (I believe Murdoch McLennan is still in employment for one of Dermot's media companies..).

All these clubs bar us voted for this. Glad to see some of them finally seeing some light. Maybe let someone whos not pals with Peter or Dermott run things for a bit?

I agree but as a general rule our centre backs should be better than the forwards the likes of Aberdeen can recruit. When that is not the case we need to review.
