PS By the time Dailly was too old to continue playing at this level, he had received 34 caps, a world record for appearances at under-21 level. It doesn't mention he played all 34 games as a striker. Maybe all the 34 caps he won were as a striker however, I doubt it!
-
Inconsistent my hoop. If you ask me to play GK, defender, midfielder or striker I'd say "sure, no problem." It doesn't make me or Dailly a good striker. Rangers fans around me were laughing and in utter shock when Dailly came on and trotted along the halfway line to take up his position as the lone striker. I do understand what you're saying, I did the first time you explained your point to me. I don't agree with that though. There was no need for you waste your time and effort on explaining it to me a second and third time. Calscot, ask anyone if they regard Dailly as a striker. They'll laugh at you and tell you he's defender. We never had Dailly as a 22 year old therefore it was another manager who re-trained him as a defender. WS had the perfect opportunity to slide Davis into central midfield on Saturday yet he went and played another player out of position in there along with Ferguson. Are you now going to tell me that McCulloch played CM for his under 8s side therefore making him a central midfielder? Again, everyone knows Davis is a CM, it's you who seems to think otherwise.
-
So what is Naismiths best position, striker or left mid? I'd keep him because of the CL rules ie you need 4 homegrown players in the 25 picked from the squad.
-
I reckon there's still an extremely good chance he'll be the next manager. Celtic will need to dig deep into that biscuit tin though to find enough pennies for compensation.
-
I think Novo's contract is up next season. Either way, he should get an extension. I'd keep Weir. Quality player even for a guy at 39. Maybe use him in the same way as SAF uses Giggs and Scholes. Play him in the bigger games and rest him in the smaller ones. Saying that, he's played over 45 matches for us this season and didn't look exhausted or drained on Saturday.
-
Surprise surprise Jon votes for a Boyd goal. That was some goal and very hard to beat. In all seriousness I'd probably vote the same. I'd need to see it again though cause it takes something special to beat the wee mans goal on Saturday.
-
Maybe Man City will come in for a few players and spend over £30m on them.
-
After last Sundays performance and winning the league I expected the team to go out, enjoy themselves and play some decent football. What made last Sunday different to Saturday? Why did we go from playing decent football on Sunday to being absolutely dross on Saturday?
-
I left Hampden on Saturday with a bitter taste in my mouth. £28 to watch that dross? OK we lifted the cup but you could write up our highlights of the match on the back of a postage stamp. Rangers should be refunding at least half that!
-
I'd keep Boyd. We'll not sign another 30+ goals a season player in his place. I'd sell: Ferguson Beasley McGregor Velicka Smith McCulloch We should rake i about £10m for that bunch.
-
Velicka v Hearts at Ibrox for me.

My 2nd job is a hovercraft technician mate.

Pimps on the lookout for gimps mate? :fish:

Davis got an 8 in the Sunday Mail ratings.
-
Haha, looking forward to that!
-
The way we played was a disgrace.

Don't treat me like a 4 year old. Don't talk down to me. Dailly hasn't played in his "natrual position" since he was 22. What age is he now? It's been a few seasons since he last played that role. I class Dailly as a defender, like 99.9% of all Rangers fans. You're the exception. If we asked Dailly what his "natural position" was I bet he wouldn't say a striker.
-
You'll need to argue with yourself then cause I'll be tucked up in bed soon. Shattered!
-
Mate, I'm always up for a wee bit of an arguement. :box:
-
Were you happy with Rangers performance yesterday Calscot? WS lost to Kaunas. Is that classed as failure? WS lost to AEK Athens. Is that classed as failure? PLG wasn't given the time or money WS had to rectify the mistakes. I'm not defending PLG, just stating facts.
-
4 seasons ago mate. You're getting as bad as the manks from the east end of Glasgow ie "we won the European Cup 347 years ago, I was there!" :fish:
-
See when Chelsea or Liverpool for that matter go an entire league campaign unbeaten you can slag me and Arsenal off as much as you like.
-
Craig, no one gives two flying fucks!

I'm talking since 2003 when RA took over at Chelski.
-
Must be odds-on to become the next Chelski manager now.
