  1. You are correct that an appeal has to be on a point of law or based on new evidence (unlikely in this situation), you cannot simply reargue the original case and hope for a different outcome. I am sure you are correct that the judge has to grant leave to appeal to the SC not sure if or when that applies in the lower courts. I would think that 3 strikes and you're out, might apply here; even if not from a technical point of view; essentially the same point is being argued over and over again.
  2. YES, I think he needs to know he is not an automatic selection; and putting him on the bench occasionally isn't exactly sending him to purgatory. In fact if he has anything about him then it should increase his desire to perrform well when he starts or comes off the bench.
  3. I think the answer to that would be a YES and it possibly goes for the rest of their clothes as well. Did you notice if they had any carry on bags other than duty free carry outs?
  4. In a result uncannily like that of another recent election, the final result was: Sat 07 Nov 15 v Alloa Athletic 0% Sat 14 Nov 15 v Dumbarton 9.09% Sat 12 Dec 15 v Morton 9.09% Sat 26 Dec 15 v Hibernian 0% Sat 16 Jan 16 v Livingston 27.27% Sat 30 Jan 16 v Falkirk 54.55% So I hereby declare that the 4th Semi-Annual Gersnet Dinner will be held on Saturday 30 January 2016 (subject to the fixture not being moved and time to be determined by KO time). In terms of venue, based on past experience there are only two obvious candidates: Malaga Tapas and The Indian Brasserie. I think we looked at all the realistic alternatives last time but if anyone wants to add a suggestion, feel free. I'll speak to both to confirm interest then put up a poll; so no need to comment or indicate a preference at this stage. In fact my preference is that no one indicates a preference (other than an alternative to Malaga or Indian) until I put up the poll. Thanks to all who took the time to vote.
  5. I didn't say I wouldn't play him, just that I wouldn't start him in the next match; because in my opinion he didn't do enough to deserve it against Livingston. Law created far more and scored in less than half an hour than Zelalem did in more than twice that time.

Note also the influence of Key Sports Managment Ltd. They are the Manager's agent as well as Waghorn and Zelalem but also (not listed) Tavernier and Kiernan I believe.........

  9. I'd guess Miller, Shiels, Law and Templeton will not be renewed, Law & Shiels might go in January. Clark might possibly be kept on.

There is somewhere else where the squad is listed with all the dates, I'll try to find it.
  11. Last call, poll closes at midnight.
  12. You better believe that; almost as bad as a wet night in Livorno. Alright for you armchair fans in Bermuda
  13. I think Law should start v Dumbarton if not certainly v St Johnstone and as you say, Shiels has been good value for any time he has had on the pitch.
  14. Warburton has done very well so far but it's ludicrous to compare his record in the second division with Struth whose 1920-21 side went 23 first division league games unbeaten until Jan 1, 1921; when they suffered their only top flight loss of the season at home to Celtic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1920%E2%80%9321_Rangers_F.C._season
  15. He was poor in my opinion v Livingston, played too far forward, a lot of missed passes and caught in possession. Gave up too easily and as stated didn't track back. I think his game is best suited to playing the passes and coming forward from the centre circle area a la Arteta who has quarter- backed Arsenal very successfully from that position. Arsenal may well see Zelalem as his natural successor. That said I think he needs to know that he is not an automatic choice in our team and I wouldn't start him against Dumbarton.
  16. Almost final reminder, poll closes at midnight tonight.
  17. Murdoch, plenty of first team experience last season, probably more games than Halliday; assuming his loan could be cancelled, which I am not sure about.
  18. Encouraging to see some more votes recorded today. A reminder the poll closes at midnight tomorrow night.
  19. You may have misunderstood, CM but the vote was indeed started again when the revised poll was put up, though the threads have been combined.
  20. I'll give this another couple of nights and close it at midnight on Tuesday 15th, which will be three weeks; fair warning. If you have attended in the past or think you might attend the next one, please vote now.
  21. Not me, FS
  22. Hopefully they don't say sorry can't provide more accessible toilets in these locations, so we'll just have to restrict the number of wheelchair users to comply with the regs.
  23. Once refereed a semi final of the Second XI Cup, Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd; the DU forward line was: Payne, Addison, Kirkwood, Fleming and MILNE. A certain W Smith was at CB for DU alongside Frank Kopel.
  24. I cannot see any value in such a signing there is no obvious short or long term benefit. Who would he replace, Holt would appear to be the only candidate although it would more obvioulsy be Halliday's position? We are playing fast attractive football, why sign a player who isn’t too quick even if that comment was meant more in a fitness sense.
