  1. On the contrary he is a highly experienced investment professional but without wishing to rake up the old controversy at the time I was rightly concerned at the impact on my clients with investments in his funds as he suggested it would be a full time job for the amount he wanted to invest. Since I am no longer an IFA I can look at it purely from a Rangers perspective; and from that angle it's a good thing. I predicted elsewhere that Chris Graham would be appointed to the Board. It is right that the RST are represented in light of their efforts but I fail to see what he brings to the table other than his sterling work on behalf of Mr King. I had a number of dealings with Mr Blair in the formative stages of RF and was not overly impressed; but here again it is right that they are represented.
  2. Certainly should have been the CEO but my source is reliable; there may well have been some split in the responsibilities. I think I am also correct in saying that he was the one who was responsible for a lot of fixture arrangements including disputing ticket pricing with away clubs where Rangers thought supoprters were being overcharged.
  3. Yes of course it did given his at best previous association with Ashley and appointment as one of his placemen but I don't have the evidence to dispute the statements they put out regarding the finance deals and I do not regard Mr King as a reliable source in that connection. I just hope that if we spend another fortune on forensic accounting it is all worthwhile.
  4. I understand that one of his primary tasks was negotiating player's contracts.
  5. I wonder who took the picture? Huge demand for the game means there are now a significant number of tickets to be collected at the stadium, with demand expected to continue up to kick-off. Supporters who have already confirmed their seat for Tuesday night's game are asked to collect tickets as early as possible. Collections at Ibrox will be extremely busy on the night of the game due to the large volume of pre-booked tickets. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/8762-get-your-seat-at-ibrox
  6. I think that comes into the category of backhanded compliments but I'll accept it nonetheless.
  7. And at least one on six figures was not.
  8. That's a fair point but equally you weren't the biggest fan of their predecessors now were you?
  9. Understand his wife works there as well in accounting role.
  10. I undertsand, of course, that Sandy Easdale, was a director of the Football Club and I certainly want rid of him, but what "duites" would he have as he was not in an Executive position? One assumes that Llambias and Leach have been suspended from ALL their dutes not just as directors of the footbal club (were both on the Football Club Board?).
  11. Looks that way. Club Statement Written by Rangers Football Club
  12. I agree that it was extremely odd that they decided to proceed with the EGM (and as I read somewhere also the two in London on the 4th) but I can only assume that they had advice that the EGM had to take place as constituted even if the result was already known. Again, King said he would hold them personally responsible for the costs and it will be up to him to prove that they were ill-advised.
  13. Staff cuts are a classic way of saving money, whether the cuts that were made were appropriate at the time is another matter. You know better than most that it will be up to whoever challenges previous director's decisions to prove that they did not act in the best interests of the company or that they had a conflict of interests.
  14. Could you find another way to put that without falsly accusing me of being dishonest.
  15. I can agree with that but I know there are many who agree with me, a minority for sure and perhaps not many if any on here, but not an insignificant minority.
  16. You are correct, on the face of it the retail deals that Ashley has done with Rangers are hardly in Rangers' best interests but then there is no doubt that he was using Rangers to further his own business interests. Llambias is brusque that is for sure but he is or appears to be well versed in the corporate world and had achieved some cost cutting which his predecessor had not. He maintained his independence from Sports Direct but clearly that is open to considerable doubt and it is up to KingCo to prove otherwise.
  17. Just because we disagree doesn't make me deluded. The Board who were in charge of the Club at the time determined that the finance offer from Ashley was the best available at the time and set out the details to the RFB. If any director failed in their duty to the Club then I have no doubt that KingCo will hold them to account. But I would not rely on anything King says in that regard unless it could be independently established as a fact. I have already said twice that Leach's position was untenable after his comments about T3B. When and what particular action(s) of Llambias rendered him unfit for his executive position?
  18. If the choice was Ally or Walter till the end of the season..............
  19. For once I am compelled to agree with you. Playing Bougherra in Malmo and changing formation at half time in Maribor were tactical blunders of the highest order that cost us dear.
  20. I'm not aware that either Ashley or Llambias have any criminal convictions or have been on the Boards of Clubs who suffered insolvency events but perhaps you'll enlighten me if I've missed something. The boycotters opened the door and as you say "Ashley pulled a master stroke"; that's what business is about. I agree with you that the loan players are questionable at best but Vukic has some quality and Streete looked good for half a game. If and when any of the others play we will be able to make a judgement. By all accounts Bigirimana is the best of the bunch and we certainly need midfield reinforcements. However, if it is revealed that we have paid fees and/or salaries for long term injured players then that is quite another matter and I would expect KingCo to rip up any such contracts.
  21. I don't think he's far away from that, GS. The spin he has so far put on it beggars belief.
  22. They disputed that as you will recall.
  23. But would you bet against it? It would be a cost effective solution for KingCo and since they appear to have given up on promotion they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
  24. Any news of L&L today, are they at work, have they been dismissed, are negotiations ongoing?
  25. I was by no means alone in wanting Llambias to stay (he had the most votes against his removal) at least and until KingCo had a better alternative. I did say that Leach's position was untenable after his comments about T3B
