Dr Waiton on Rangers, Free Speech and Sectarianism
BrahimHemdani replied to ThatsWhyWeirChamps's topic in Rangers Chat
Without a doubt it's a very clever move on behalf of Celtic FC. -
I think your book list needs a review

OK, good, the reason I said that was the reference to the same terms. Now maybe Easdale will be shamed into doing the same (dropping the security) though to be fair to him he is not being compensated for the risk and many would argue, he shouldn't be.

Dr Waiton on Rangers, Free Speech and Sectarianism

Roseanna Cunningham was indeed the Minister to whom I put the point about the "resonable person" test. However, as I said twice in the thread I am 99% sure the Act will not be repealed; if anything it will be strengthened in the light of case law. -
4th Meeting of the Rangers CIC Working Party.
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Not for the first time recently, Christine, you and I find ourselves on the same page or at least half of the same page. I don't know Mr Blair or anything about the RST CIC but it is possible that his "appointment" and the use of the name Club 1872 may have been an attempt to reconcile any differences with the RST rather than an attempt to antagonise, which would obviously not be in anyone's interests. That said, I am not in the least bit comfortable with the way that certain matters were indeed presented more or less as a fait accompli last night. One of the questions I raised was dismissed with the retort, well I/we didn't think there would be any objection. The implication is that cetain decisions have been taken by people behind the scenes who have neither been elected nor mandated; nor could anyone have been elected because, as you say the group (as disctinct from the CIC) has not been constituted. It is possible to overlook what some might see as certain niceties in the interests of expediency, but these matters need to be regularised urgently. I have made my concerns known over the past week and will continue to do my best to push these compliance issues to the front of the agenda.- 140 replies

It's a big move in the right direction, albeit still 15% APR; it's a lot better than 30%. which presumably includes the security? but what about the legal costs of taking and discharging the security? The Board should pay out of their own pockets; because they are culpable.

YES, it will be 3 tapas to start, various paellas (depending on numbers) and postre (dessert).

The 4th Meeting of the Rangers CIC Working Party was held at the Louden tavern on Monday night. As previously reported, the Limited Company has been incorporated and will be converted to a CIC by Glasgow Solicitor, James Blair, who will become the first director. Draft Articles of Association (incorporating changes from the model suggested by me and RA) should be up on the web site imminently, for comment. As well as the minimum £5 per month donation (suggested donation £18.72), there will be a facility to become a Life Member of "Club 1872" by making a one off payment of £500. This can be paid in whole or in part by transferring shares (at current price) to the CIC. Donations can now be accepted and the money will be held by Gocardless until such time as the CIC bank account is established in the next few days. For information on how to contribute please email will@rangersfirst.org or admin@rangersfirst.org. The full Minutes will be published asap on the web site.

Thanks, yes it is, at least as far as I am concerned. I spoke to the restaurant owner at the weekend and he has assured me he will get back to me this week with a menu and price. Sorry for the delay.

In all my time in football, I have never heard of a manager assaulting an opposing player, it's the kind of thing you might expect in some South American 3rd division game, but in the EPL?! I haven't seen it yet but if it occurred as desribed then it would surely be gross misconduct for bringing the club into disrepute, so if they want rid of him he has given them the perfect excuse; they could just sack him and let him sue if he wants.

SDMC Productions - Rangers Documentary: Indiegogo Crowdfunder

I have suggested that they introduce a £25 slot, though not sure what they could add as the £15 shot seems a bit of a giveaway to me.- 39 replies

If that's true, and I don't doubt your information, then it actually makes some sense. By putting the facility in place they prevented £500,000 being taken out of circulation, even if it was there to be taken out of circulation; and at the same time they don't need to draw it down unless and until we lose.

I was only joking, of course! OK got it "Strictly Commercial: The Best of Frank Zappa" Sorry if I hit a sensitive spot. I feel the same way about Buddy Holly.

Think you'll be getting a letter from a certain firm of lawyers

Judging by your Avatar you don't need any help.

No, you just looked very happy!

No doubt, he'll probably pay good money to post them on here.

That part is just baffling. If it was "part of the business plan" why were the terms only agreed last week? If it was only in the forecast that we would need another £1.5m, why did he say we didn't need any more finance in the "short to medium term". He can't have it both ways; and his attempts to explain it away like that do his credibility no good at all.

Happy to accept that from you.

Seems he left City in December 2012 http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=273357 but may have been on gardening leave, or snow clearing leave till March 2013; either way it was nearly a year.

No one will buy that, that's for sure. I think the comment about it being suitable for the women's team was right on the mark. Edit: No offence, ladies; just saying that you beauties are often seen at your best in pink and other pastel colours.

Obviously nothing as far as you are concerned Andy!
