  1. I agree and I'm pretty sure I could arrange it. I had a good working relationship with his predecessor Supt Brand. We should compile a list of questions in the first instance.
  2. Obviously you are well down the pecking order then BD!
  3. 'get a grip'...about what exactly?
  4. Beautiful killers those wolves. BTW click on the Paxman interview showing the Head of Coca Cola how many sachets of sugar are in a container of coke; talk about squirming.
  5. Just wondering like BD if it's wise to post the link. Anyone whose email address is known to the Club should have received the email I assume.
  6. A very good question that you should direct to the Police, specifically the Head of FOCUS, Superintendent Stephen McAllister (assuming there has not been a further change since last June).
  7. Club website link: http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/6350-ready-to-listen Received by email Dear At our recent AGM I outlined our intention to undertake a comprehensive review of the entire Club and I am pleased to report that we are making excellent progress with this. A key element of looking at how the Club operates and engages is to understand what is important to you, the Rangers supporters. If we can obtain your constructive input and suggestions then we can develop a comprehensive insight into what is needed to address the areas that are important to the fans. We are in the process of rebuilding how your Club operates and based on feedback from many of you, it is clear that there is a need for professional business management, honest conversation, transparency and greater communication to allow us to move forward together. Your Club Executive and Board is wholly open minded on how we can work together for the better development of Rangers. The Club, and you the supporters, have continued to be tested in recent months as we work on developing the long term strategy for rebuilding the Club. We need you to know that by working together, we have the ability to position your Club for a stable, successful and sustainable future. We hope that you will engage with the Club and talk to us openly. We value your input and we are Ready to Listen. To start us on this journey together, I would ask if you could take a few minutes to complete this short survey which will give you the opportunity to commence the process of sharing your thoughts and opinions with us. We will consolidate all input received and use this as the basis upon which to move our wider supporter engagement initiatives forward. Please click here to start survey. Thank you for your support. Graham Wallace Chief Executive Officer Rangers Football Club
  8. I must admit that that is how I read it at first (without being able to expand the article), i.e. debt for equity on the whole of loan, rather than just the interest on the loan; but deleted that part of my earier post after FS seemed certain that it was shares in lieu of interest/arrangement fees. If it IS debt for equity on the whole of the loan then of course, they stand to make a killing if the share price continues its current upward trend, 100% gain is not out of the question; but equally they could lose it all. Either way a Director charging his own Club an arrangement fee (assuming there is one) is just scandalous, never mind whatever rate of interest.
  9. A Director like Easdale should be lending the Club money at zero interest or at 0+RPI% at the most, like Anne Budge. Anything else just shows him in his true colours. It's a disgrace an absolute disgrace.
  10. I don't see how anyone can follow this; it's a bit like the Beatles trying to follow Roy Orbison when they stood in awe of him in the wings. Are there any wolves near Arbroath, by any chance?
  11. OK I couldn't read the small print; so again it depends on the price at which they are granted those shares.
  12. The best review I have read on here for a long time. I must admit I had to look up the word "trophic" and to save others who are similarly challenged, the trouble it means “having nutritional habits or requirements”. Are you sure you are not a professional journalist? I wonder if Foster did enough (in terms of quantity of effort rather than quality of output) to retain his place, which would mean Faure and McCulloch at CB with Cribari standing down? It seems idle to be critical in the midst of such a wonderful piece; but you don't mention Shiels, perhaps because he was largely anonymous at Ayr. What chance Peralta in an attacking or right midfield role as he finished at Ayr?
  13. I doubt that Wallace will be comfortable with this; but if he has not been able to convince any other institutions to stump up, and things are worse than he thought, then it may have been his only option. I would assume it's what is needed to get us through to season ticket time.
  14. I wouldn't hold your breath, Christine,
  15. Good to know that somebody's with me at least! I will be pushing for RangersFirst at least in the graphics.
  16. I am very strongly opposed to separate schools for whatever religion but may I remind you that the word "sectarian" does not appear anywhere in the OBA, for one simple reason, the SG could not define it.
  17. It may well be, but right now it's the law, not a very good law, I grant you, but the law nonetheless. I assume you expressed your concerns at the time; if so it would be interesting to know what reply you received.
  18. So it's a bit like having a UEFA Licensed 5 star stadium; doesn't mean way play like a 5 star team when in Europe Also, what if we don't have ANY scouts?
  19. . Dr Waiton is well known for his extreme views; indeed it is my belief that he was only invited to give evidence in the Committee stage of the Bill so as to strengthen the SG case. But it is very disappoining, if we was quoted correctly, to find an academic bending the truth to support his argument. The act does not . It only makes it illegal if the behaviour "is likely to incite public disorder" To constitute an offence the behaviour has to be: (a)expressing hatred of, or stirring up hatred against, a group of persons based on their membership (or presumed membership) of— (i)a religious group, (ii)a social or cultural group with a perceived religious affiliation, (iii)a group defined by reference to a thing mentioned in subsection (4), (b)expressing hatred of, or stirring up hatred against, an individual based on the individual’s membership (or presumed membership) of a group mentioned in any of sub-paragraphs (i) to (iii) of paragraph (a), ©behaviour that is motivated (wholly or partly) by hatred of a group mentioned in any of those sub-paragraphs, (d)behaviour that is threatening, or (e)other behaviour that a reasonable person would be likely to consider offensive. So it is not "anything offensive" nor is it in the eyes of the so called "right thinking people". Of course there are issues with what a court will consider falling within the list of offensive behaviours especially when it comes to one song or another (though the Lord Advocate did publish guidance) and there certainly is an issue about what constitutes "a reasonable person". As I said to the Minister at the time, in Scotland it may not be the proverbial "man on the no.9 Clapham omnibus"; but it was obvious that the SG did not want a tighter definition and the Law has suffered from that without a doubt. However, as I said earlier in the thread I am 99% sure it will not be repealed; if anything it will be strengthened in the light of case law.
  20. Whilst, I am in no doubt that SDMC are in this to make money, as far as I can gather from the Director, Chris, it has been laregly financed by him personally up till now. For example he told me that he had paid £1,500 for an old Rangers film archive that had been hidden away in France for many years. I believe him when he says that he is a Man City fan and that Rangers are his second team. To that extent, it does seem like a labour of love and all reprorts so far have been very positive. Apparently he went to the SFA for certain footage and was asked to pay; not surprising perhaps but an added burden nonetheless. I am not sure about Hollywood but I think Anchorman and I will be on the blue carpet at the Glasgow Film Theatre! I intend to produce the best documentary of my career revealing the rise/fall and resurrection of Glasgow Rangers FC. I want to take an unbiased look at the clubs history from the point of view of it fans! Who knows he might get an Oscar.
  21. Yes, the reference to Davy Cooper was made as was the fact that it was coop not co-op; but overall the feeling that was that it was an extension best to avoid. Personally I never thought I would see the day; but there are a lot of good, skilful and experienced people involved all of whom seem very enthusiastic; if everyone can pull together I think it has a more than decent chance of success.
  22. Pelligrini made a huge mistake thinking that Demichelis (who played for him at River Plate and Malaga) at 33 is good enough to play at CB in England when his career as a centocampista was all but over in Spain. The Telegraph sums it up When Demichelis plays, you can hear the sirens of emergency services.
  23. You are welcome. I was in touch with Richard last night about RangersFirst or Rangersfirst and he says it is something that will be looked at by the Graphics Working Party (another one that will not include me!)
  24. I'm sure all suggestions will be welcome but I have to say it sounds good to me, even if it's been used before. I guess the important thing is that it is identifiable in terms of social media; not something that I know anything about I have to say (so I won't be in that WP!) There were no other names put forward tonight. Also it is my understanding that the legal name of the company must include Community Interest Company or CIC.
  25. Yes, I was really surprised that he introduced it; but to be fair to him he quickly judged the mood of the meeting.
