  1. It is a fair point the more so because of the oldco/ newco situation. I have copied the club's email (not received by me) my OP and your question to my bank manager and will post his reply tomorrow night.
  2. In my opinion anyone who receives this message and doesn't wish to pay should contact the Ticket Centre immediately stating that they have already cancelled and that Rangers have no authority to reinstate the the DDM by Fastpay Ltd on behalf of Sevco Scotland, trading as The Rangers Football Club or any other means. As I said above let's hope this is just an error and not a deliberate attempt to collect money against the wishes of the supporters concerned.
  3. Yes, we contacted him by e-mail. We stated who we were and that we would like to meet with him to discuss his plans for the future and we had a proposal to put forward to him regarding the group and the section. He replied saying he forwarded our e-mail to his PA who advised we can meet with Rangers employees whom we've met with a hundred times before and that Green would attend if possible. This was a while ago and still nothing has happened, we can't do a thing as a group until this stuff is sorted and its hindering us quite a bit. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. In a word your answer is - NO - you have not put your questions in writing to Mr Green. What you have done is ask for a meeting and got the brush off. I am sure there are 101 groups and individuals wanting to meet him and I am not sure I understand why your "group and the section" should get a meeting when I am sure many others cannot. I don't mean any disrespect but I guess I could put together a group representing the main stand rear and request a meeting but I doubt I'd get it.
  4. I cancelled my DD by email to my bank which has been confirmed and by letter to Rangers which has not been confirmed (but that might just be because they have a large number to acknowledge!). I have checked my account and no money has gone out to Rangers or Fastpay. I have checked the DD list and the one to Rangers shows as cancelled and there is no one for Fastpay Ltd. I am not entirely clear from the posts whether or not anyone has actually had any money taken as yet of if it is just the case that the DD's gave been reinstated but let's not confuse the situation because there are two issues here. 1. The Direct Debiting Mandate is in favour of Rangers not any particular bank, bank account or other company such as Fastpay and it authorises Rangers to collect a certain amount of money (or may be any amount of money) on certain dates. Rangers are obliged to notify you of the amounts and the dates and they have done that. I may be wrong but in my opinion it is up to Rangers how they collect that money from your bank account. If they chose to use a company such as Fastpay to initiate the debits rather than their bank then I don't see an issue with that. I don't think there is necessarily anything sinister in that, it may just be that Fastpay offer the service cheaper than their bank. 2. Reinstating cancelled Direct Debits without authorisation is quite another matter and may well be a fraud if done intentionally or potential fraud as has been suggested. I have come across this before and the banks usual excuse for making a payment in these circumstances is that they assumed you the customer had reinstated the DD otherwise why would the originator be collecting money. However if you have proof that you cancelled the DD with Rangers and therefore on the most generous interpretation they are collecting it in error then you have an absolute entitlement to an immediate refund through a scheme called the Direct Debit Guarantee. I would advise anyone who has money debited from their account in these circumstances to contact their bank manager by email (phone for the Mangerâ??s email address if you donâ??t have it) or via their central email address and request an immediate refund under the Direct Debit Guarantee. You should state the date the bank confirmed the DD cancellation, the date Rangers confirmed the cancellation and scan to attach any documents or forward the email confirmations. Immediate in this context should mean as quickly as the bank system can process it but certainly the refund should appear in your account not later than 24hrs after you make the request. You may also be entitled to compensation if the bank admits to paying without authorisation. All that said it is possible that what has happened here is that Rangers have transferred the collections to Fastpay and there have been some errors whereby some debits that were cancelled have not been cancelled on their system. Of course it is also possible that Rangers have said just collect them all and hope for the best. My bank manager is a bluenose so I will run all this by him now and if anything I have said is wrong then I will post here tomorrow night.
  5. I think what you are refering to is that in Scotland and probably the UK as a whole there has been a rule for as long as I can remember that you could not televise a match in opposition to a live game. That may well have been reversed to an extent these days where television holds sway. I think you are correct that UEFA do not allow matches to be televised in opposition to CL or EL games but I'm fairly sure you could play if you wanted to.
  6. Try this: :na: :kb::dg: :me::kh::lm::sk: :al::hemmings: Apologies if I've missed any of the above jumping ship and of course others could follow but as things stand at present the above looks like a decent team including 7 Internationalists and we have Perry if Boca goes and Bedoya still there (I think) and dare I say it Healy could probably score a few in the 1st Division. Of course if we go the SFL3 all or most bets will be off.
  7. Said two years ago that he had £1M or £2M to put into the Club but like Park yet to put his money where his mouth is. Perhaps this time, who knows. That said he put up the stage for the AGM at Ibrox for a good number of years and was rewarded with a number of free or upgraded European trips.
  8. Forunately not, it goes by points for wins and draws only.
  9. What are your questions and have you tried putting them in writing to Mr Green?
  10. Can we see the Balance Sheet then.
  11. Not good enough for AC Milan apparently after 10 years at age 32 and snapped up by Juventus last season who promptly won the title unbeaten with Pirlo starting 37 games. Was there a fitter player on the pitch tonight?
  12. Add some statistics to prove your case: Only Ireland (in 3 matches) had less possession of the ball than England (in 4 matches). Poland, Croatia, Sweden, Denmark and the Ukraine had more possession of the ball in 3 matches than England had in 4. 10 teams passed the ball with greater accuracy than England. Only 3 teams had less attempts on target per game: Ireland, Greece and the Ukraine. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/season=2012/statistics/round=15172/teams/type=possession/index.html etc Basically they are crap.
  13. It would be intersting to research that point in the case of Fiorentina. As I have pointed out a couple of times in the past, UEFA consider AC and ACF Fiorentina as one and the same but it is not clear if the newco had to re-register. http://www.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/teams/club=52817/profile/index.html etc
  14. Didn't you know football is above the law. Good word, I think that might be a first on Gersnet or any Rangers forum for that matter!
  15. Short of storming the ramparts at Hampden not sure exactly what we could do about it? As I said elsewhere if they bend the rules to put us in the SFL1, we've won a watch.
  16. Well beaten, Italy gave them a lesson. I don't think they would have beaten Germany and if they had the Final would have been embarrassing.
  17. Well three already have and I would bet more will follow. We can apply to any league once the newco is registered with the SFA.
  18. Wonder if they owed the Turkish Taxman as well and if they paid us all the money for Miller?
  19. You are correct, I'm sure but there will be a timetable, probably for 2013 or 2014.
  20. Can the majestic Pirlo lead Italy all the way? They have had the most shots on target in total and per game (of all teams) but have reached the last four scoring only 4 goals. Can Ronaldo continue to improve and produce enough magic for Portgal to triumph? Of the last four, they have the least shots on target, the lowest passing accuracy and are the only one of the last four not to have 50% ball possession on average per game. Are the Germans ready or has this tournament come round a couple of years too soon for their new team? The top scorers so far. Second best only to Spain in ball possession and passing accuracy. Will the favourites Spain pass their way to the Championsip or will their lack of a top quality striker eventually cost them dear? Surprisingly perhaps, the best defence, only one goal conceded; but they are the most accurate passers, have the most ball possession and the second most shots on target.
  21. Can't believe that, surely be lucky to be on half that?
  22. As I said earlier Zappa BTW happy birthday. I see you're back to the "old" picture; if that's an accurate representation, I'd be doubling the celebration.
  23. Very unfair, played out his skin last season in three different positions; would be ideal player to captain the club and bring on the young guys.
  24. Must have been on the site checking for advice!
