  1. Or sell you a Rangers Credit Card as they have tried to do in the past.
  2. What price a campaign against RBS now from the usual suspects?
  3. If this is true, it's a fiasco and shows Mr Green and his officials in a very poor light. The major banks' position on this is understandable but the arrangements needed to be water tight and an explanation about the new DD company offered BEFORE the new mandates hit ST holders' accounts. If Rangers are not going to operate a DD system then they run the risk of losing close to half the ST's. That said if we are in the 3rd division, it will only be about £150 - £200 so not much more than one instalment which would have been due at the end of May and June so it is arguable that fans will or should already have the money saved up. Perhaps that's the belated thought process.
  4. Lot of support for Italy on the main thread, place your bets here.
  5. Ron Scott is amongst our most sensible and experienced journalists, not one for in depth analysis but focuses on the key facts; pity he's about to retire.
  6. No we can't, that's my point in #5.
  7. I'm not sure that that's right GA. Collective responsibility in this context means that each individual is required to publicly support the decision taken by the majority even if privately they disagree with them. However, I don't think that involves a loss of integrity. One aspect of integrity is having high moral values and I think it is arguable that one way to demonstrate that is by putting the good of the Club ahead of one's own personal beliefs. JMHO.
  8. I don't often disagree with you FS but I have to on this occasion. On the contrary, collective responsibility only with works with people of integrity. It is essential to the doctrine of collective responsibility that all concerned have the integrity to accept majority decisions or resign their positions.
  9. Who and on what or whose authority was it determined that their remit had been extended? Is this remit published anywhere?
  10. How much do they get and what is it used for? If you take the Hamburg model, then they sell the away tickets and get the commission towards their running costs.
  11. No, nor should there be an agent of employees of the Club, who clearly has a conflict of interest.
  12. If I could vote on it, I would vote for the third division; because it means we do our penance, no one can complain and as others have said we can bounce back like Fiorentina, who played us in the semi-final of the UEFA Cup , six years after going bankrupt and starting again in the 4th Division..
  13. Whilst it is nice to be asked this survey is nonsense because Rangers cannot apply to join SFL1 with or without sanctions, they can only apply to join the SFL, which means starting in Division 3. The only circumstance in which Rangers could be in the SFL1 next season is if the SFL Clubs determine that such a course of action is appropriate under the scheme being promoted at the moment and frankly that seems highly unlikely unless some pretty powerful arm twisting is done in the next few days. Furthermore, applying to the SFL and de facto the third division by no means guarantees admission as others such as Spartans will apply and some in the third division especially might find a club like that a more attractive proposition from the point of view of their own chances of promotion than Rangers, which most would take to mean that they were playing for second place.
  14. In my opinion the RST are against Green because he has seen through them and knows they have opposed him all the way. As I posted about the Brown story yesterday, advising supporters not to renew season tickets in the current situation is irresponsible. It is obviously fair enough to delay renewing, pending knowng what league/divsion we will be playing in, if any; but beyond that it makes no sense to me to starve the Club of money. What kind of message does that send to the players have have thus far not jumped ship? It will do nothing to advance the RST's stated aim of fans ownership or even influence in the Club.
  15. Unfortunately I think this is correct.. The "football creditors' rule" in England means that debts to other clubs or players are prioritised and must be paid in full before the club is eligible to compete again in the league. This does not apply in Scotland.
  16. And the SFL Clubs have every right to reject our application.
  17. Who elected the Board or Committee of the RFFF or did they just self select? Is membership a closed shop? Regardless of your opinion about the possible renaming of Murray Park, why did Charles Green consider that they speak for fans on that issue? Or put another way, on what basis did the RFFF convince CG that they speak for fans on that kind of issue, when that was never their remit.
  18. I think you have mixed up the recently introduced Faster Payment Service, which is an inter bank method of ensuring that payments are credited almost instantaneously, with the company called Fastpay Ltd described by the OP. The FPS has replaced the Bank Giro Credit System which took 3-5 days to credit transactions in most instances.
  19. Interesting reply from my bank manager "my guess would be a new mandate would be required with a signature on it to authorise payment to a new entity." So it would appear that anyone who is minded to do so could challenge the new DDM on that basis.
  20. Chance would be a fine thing.
  21. We'll get that by answer to the first two questions; if he's prepared to answer at all that is. However as it's RBS might take them a while to process the DD's anyway!
  22. All of it or just some of it?
  23. I've asked the second question; I'll add the first; don't understand ©. Do you mean if you want to set one up now would it be to Rangers or Sevco? If so my guess would be whoever sends it to you if you apply to buy a season ticket by that method.
  24. I had the greatest of respect for John Brown as a player and he did a job under McLeish & Watson, not sure what he's done recently at Murray Park but happy to accept that he was a valuable asset. BUT I am the only one who found his pronouncements yesterday embarrassing, cringe worthy even. There was no substance at all and no indication that either he or any of his backers (whoever they are) have any money or any business acumen or experience. OK so one person with a million or so is about to step put of the woodwork but we've heard all that so many times in this saga, it's boring. I found his call not to renew season tickets in a bid to oust Green irresponsible just as the same call from RST was equally irresponsible. I and no doubt thousands of others have made up our own mind not to renew until we see some clarity about the league we will be playing in and the price we are asked to pay, others like GA decided to renew regardless; we are all capable of making this decision without Mr Brown's assistance or doubtful motives. Charles Green and his consortium were the successful bidders for our football club; everyone else had their chance and failed. Anyone else who has significant money will no doubt be welcome at their table. I don't see any chance of Charles Green selling unless he gets a silly offer and I don't see any chance of Bomber Brown and his associates buying the Club either. Time we all got on board the same ship in my opinion.
