And Eustace first game is a hammering at QPR that was so bad they dropped into the relegation zone on goal difference. The teams around them have 2 games in hand but luckily for Derby that Hull, Luton and Plymouth all have tough fixtures today
-
I hope you lumped something on that 7/4. The first goal from Mitoma is goal of the season - absolutely world class. And well done both the player and the club for rejecting 70M in the transfer window. Didnt see that hammering coming at all, I watched most of the game and Chelsea were so poor and out played.

Ok chaps, your going to have to help me out with a few names in the back row that has gone over my head - firstly this team would be circa 1975?? Ive got, Gordon Smith, Alex Miller, and Peter McCloy in the back row. Front: Sandy Jardine, Derek Johnstone, Alex McDonald, John Greig, Tommy McLean, Not Sure and Davie Cooper.

Match Thread [FT] Hearts 1 - 3 Rangers (McCart o.g. 20, 73; Cerny 61)
Gribz replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Hearts are in good form, they havent lost since the Edinburgh derby on Boxing day. They were dog awful in the first half of the season and the only time they showed up was on the opening day of the season against us with a 0-0. So they will be up for this again with 3rd place in their sights. Ive no idea what to expect from our side but its getting a bit repetitive that they are due us a performance. All that aside, Im looking forward to the game. -
But they will be thankful Craig Levein created the 4-6-0 formation now that Havertz joins Jesus in the treatment room.

GPL Predictions Bluebear54's GPL 2024/25: Rangers vs Ross County
Gribz replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Was just doing the Hearts prediction thread and remembered I didnt reply to this one. I came into it too late and would be well off the pace so thought I'd just do my score predictions but no need for Rousseau to add me in. However I'll be promoted into it next season and be going for a European spot. That 4-0 Hagi was worth double points. -

As there is a Friday game, predictions are in early. Newcastle havent won at Man City since 2000 at Maine Road, could that run end on Saturday? I am still waiting for City to click. Brighton 1-2 Chelsea Leicester 0-2 Arsenal Aston Villa 1-0 Ipswich Fulham 1-1 Nottingham Forest Man City 2-1 Newcastle Southampton 0-2 Bournemouth West Ham 2-0 Brentford Crystal Palace 1-0 Everton Liverpool 3-0 Wolves Tottenham 3-2 Man Utd

Ange certainly might, like Clement he has got the Europa to save himself. But Man Utd cant possibly change again, Amorin has to be given the players he wants, although I wouldnt be surprised if he walked away realising he joined the wrong club - and then rocked back up at the other side of Manchester.
-
Tottenham v Man Utd is a belter with the positions of both clubs. Could be 5-5

Eustace leaves Blackburn in the play off spots to go to Derby and have a relegation fight. Funnily enough 6th spot which is when Birmingham pulled the plug on him for Rooney. Obviously doesnt get on with the Venkys but supposedly his family live in Derby and he did play for them so I can see it from that point of view.

Ive not mentioned other sports. For me in the 90s Stephen Hendry was a Hero of mine - Before the days most tournaments were on TV I used to sit up late and watch his scores on Teletext. Still the greatest for me - unplayable in the 90s.

It could achieve a chance for a new person to come in and assess the current playing staff in preparation for a full pre season. Non of the above. If we dont have even an unofficial shortlist under current circumstances then there is something wrong. Souness with a young assistant? If he is a DMW then what are we waiting for - However as fans we know he will get the Europa league.
-
50% for the second night in a row. 3 out 4 ties in the balance but that has to be Celtic out now.
-
What a finish to that game. And the bounce would have been ongoing at the Emirates as well. Feb becomes a pivotal month as Liverpool go to Man City and then have Newcastle.

Gerrard's stock has fallen two fold because of where he left Villa in the league with Unai Emery picking up with the same squad and reaching the European places. But secondly to fail in Saudi where the term open cheque book goes to a new level. Gerrard needs Rangers more than Rangers need Gerrard at this point in time. There has been a pattern with the current manager and the previous two that all have started well but its fizzled out big time - although I think Gio just went on a bad run and could have turned it around. Like Clement I think Gio may have been just a bit "too nice" at times whilst Beale was just arrogant. This conversation may develop hugely if we have a negative result at Tynecastle this weekend.

It was tongue in cheek TBH 😎

Im really hoping the McInnes ship has sailed, we need to aim higher than that. There has to be a bigger market out there. Sean Dyche is available BTW.

You have hit a lot of nails on the head there. Weir isnt coming near the SPL. Agree about McCann, very honest likeable guy and a cracking player but not the answer. Some middle parts of your post have now made me sway towards around 70/30 against Clement, there is nothing in almost 12 months now (Since Dingwall and Dens defeats) that gives me confidence that he can get near a league title - in fact Im more in the camp that it will regress further. I havent read David Holmes book but it would be very interesting to read what he did to turn things around and what his vision was - it couldnt have been rocket science with even less money available in those days per se. Yet he was also up against 3 maybe 4 teams of much better quality (was thinking if Hearts would be included with Aberdeen, Dundee Utd and Celtic in the mid 80s). Perhaps those who witnessed the earlier to mid 80s would have far better insight on this. Im not saying Clement out yet but if we pulled the plug I wouldnt be shouting from the roof tops its the wrong decision. Only a Mass upturn in our away form for "minimum" the rest of the season would get me more on board again...(and I hate chopping and changing managers unless it duds like Beale and Pedro then those do the hiring have to be blamed)

Rescheduled Merseyside Derby tonight. The last ever at Goodison but I dont think Everton have enough firepower to win. Liverpool fans would like nothing more than to rub it in the Toffee's faces winning the last derby at Goodison. Plus the Liverpool players have the chance to go 9 clear at the top and bounce back from the Plymouth loss. That Cup defeat for Liverpool could have actually been Everton's downfall. I'll go for Everton 0-2 Liverpool. These type of things happen, Scotland won the last Auld Enemy Derby at the old Wembley despite losing the tie overall. Then Germany won the last game there. And aside - Bournemouth have just won the last FA Cup tie at Goodison.
-
I'll throw the 98 Cup Final against Hearts as another which was a big downer. After not getting 10IAR winning the cup to give Walter and many of the 9IAR players a send off would have softened the blow but that defeat was horrible.
-
Dortmund get result of the night, a 3-0 crushing away from home. Juve still have work to do in Eindhoven, I wouldnt bet against PSV turning that around. Was kind of glad to see Real Madrid get the late winners purely because it was Man City but anyone but Bellingham would have been better with the winner though.
-
Certainly got a shock result AET, a good 2-2 for Exeter but they go out with the lottery of penalties.
-
As far as the "worst" collection if results it is well up there.
