  1. PSG are the real deal which is great. I still think they will get out done in the final from Barca but it would be worth seeing them win just to rub it up Mbappe. The English pundits who go on and on about them having the greatest league - PSG have out played Man City, Liverpool, Villa and now Arsenal. But at 1-0 anything can happen, Arsenal need a performance like they did in Madrid and having Partey back will be a big boost.
  2. I re-read it - There are up to 11 places available if Arsenal drop out of the top 5 and win the Champions League.
  3. Id be happy with this, RB seem to have their set up very right and have become a massive sporting organization. Leipzig were only formed just over 15 years ago. The branding of being owned by the 49ers group and sponsored by the Red Bull group should only be positive commercially. After that we just finally get Apple to sponsor I-brox.
  4. This is where Jose Mourinho would excel. Agree about Farke, I dont think he is the right fit despite being a good manager. We need a presence to go with tactics and getting the maximum out of players especially away to the likes of St Mirren, Ross County etc where the last manager and current interim have failed.
  5. Yeah you have valid points but BF isnt helping himself with post match comments, keep it in the dressing room. Plus wasnt the players confused in Bilbao with his paper notes and Tav couldnt read the hand writing?
  6. This is my take which I posted earlier plus a week or so ago when I said the old school type ranting style is long gone. Im not saying BF is doing ranting but I would hazard a guess that he is and the players are not respecting it with him being in the door 5 minutes and not having the best managerial track record thus far.
  7. Good job by Slot, admirable guy despite who he manages. To think he only signed Chiesa who has barely played. His internal changes have been interesting, team and individual meetings on a daily basis to get feedback from players and how to improve them, earlier starts in the morning, allowing players to stay at home the night before home matches rather than the team hotel - stating a better sleep is much more important..... Im trying to work out how many Premier teams could be in Europe next season, if City win the FA cup and finish top 5 plus Chelsea win the Conference and finish top 5 and Man Utd or Spurs win the Europa you are looking at half the league (10 teams).
  8. Forest and Villa are fading which is a shame but they have been superb all season. Forest need to dig deep and get that top 5 place. Not an FA Cup Final I'll be looking forward to now but I'll still be wanting Palace to win.
  9. I was thinking this about Terzic but the fact Rose is strongly linked may mean Terzic could be also.
  10. Everton stopped me getting a full house yesterday but 4 results out of 5 isnt bad. But West Ham need to admit they have got it badly wrong again and just rid Potter, the regression is unbelievable. Chelsea with 2 wins a row have put themselves in a great position.
  11. Well done for Palace, Villa have ran out of steam. Full support for Nottingham Forest today.
  12. One Welsh team for another after Cardiff went down. Like the Premier and the Championship there is a big gap in quality between the Championship and Leagues 1 & 2. Wrexham will need to sign again but this league will looking at PSR / FFP whatever they call it after Leicester getting out of a loop hole last year. Plymouth are down because of goal difference then it is one from Stoke, Derby, Preston, Luton, and Hull on the last day. Bristol City can cement play offs if they win at Leeds on Monday. if not it will be two spots up for grabs between Bristol City, Coventry, Millwall, Blackburn and Middlesboro.
  13. Something is fundamentally wrong behind the scenes. Do we have a split dressing room or something? I dont think the players want to listen to current management set up at all, they obviously cant communicate very well to the players. 1 point out of 9 against St Mirren. It was an eye sore to watch and I could only flicker back on and off during the second half. I dont get Cerny and Hagi being on the bench unless they werent 100%.
  14. I think its fair to say it wont be Barry Ferguson. He hasnt had near the right experience and his comments are showing it. Im glad we got the trial period out the way.
  15. Not sure what to watch between Chelsea v Everton, Luton v Coventry or the Snooker. A busy weekend of sport for the Metropolitan Finest with the Eubank v Benn fight tonight (Spurs Stadium), the London marathon plus Chelsea's match and 2 FA Cup Semi Finals.
  16. Yes along with Motherwell and Hibs recently. 16 points dropped from playing these 3 teams on the previous two times we played them. A test for Ferguson today.
  17. Everton havent won at Stamford Bridge since 1994. Potter returning to Brighton. The Liverpool v Tottenham (to win the league) game kicks off at the same time as the Man City v Forest Semi - what buffoon came up with this. Chelsea 1-1 Everton Brighton 2-0 West Ham Newcastle 3-0 Ipswich Southampton 0-2 Fulham Wolves 2-0 Leicester Bournemouth 1-1 Man Utd Liverpool 3-0 Tottenham
  18. So was Gavin Rae but I missed him out on purpose
  19. Havent really seen the lad Mulligan but our track record of taking players from Dundee isnt bad. John Brown, Nacho Novo, Claudio Caniggia, Glen Kamara....
  20. Agree Scott, I have a feeling for Palace as Villa have played a lot of big games recently. An Aston Villa v Man City final would be the better fixture but Villa v Forest would be my preference. A more balanced game could be Forest v Palace though.
  21. It has been poorer this season. The better sides to watch have been Villa, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Brighton - when those 4 play well its good attacking football. Its been a bit similar to when Leicester won it when so many teams had a bad year despite how good Leicester were. But next season I still dont see Man Utd or Tottenham recovering to be top 6. If Amorim stays and gets 3 or 4 first XI players of his choice they will improve and Tottenham have to change manager and add some quality - Big Ange relationship broke down last year when he criticised the Spurs support for wanting to lose against City.
  22. Id have Jose from the list and its a job that may suit him better these days being in a 2 horse race. Granted he isnt the same manager as 10 years ago but he would command respect and a winning mentality surely for 1-2 seasons to get the league title back. He's also going to be able to attract a better standard of player. Rafa Benitez 10 years ago would have got a vote but he's been away from the game too long. Gerrard's stock has fallen since he left after his two management spells and very rarely does going back have a good affect. It worked terrific with Walter Smith for us and looking to the Premier League it worked with David Moyes at West Ham and now Everton but I dont think those relationships with Manager and Club deteriorated at all, with Gerrard it was - thanks and good luck - and in came Gio who kicked us onto a Euro final.
  23. Maybe Nathan Patterson aswell on loan if his is fit.
  24. 94th minute for City, that doesnt get much more frustrating. Whats even happening with their 115? Its a good result for Forest though.
  25. Financially yes but its actually a double scoop for the owners if we reach the league format in Europe again. Leeds wont be able to offer them European football in the near future unless they do a Nottingham Forest.
