  1. If a Hibs player contracts Covid-19 after tonight, the house will be on fire ...
  2. Stewart was there and McInnis ruined what might have become a good season. He was used better at Killie, so I doubt he`ll go their of his own accord. Wright looked good, at least much better then the rest of their ruffians. He will have a torrid time up there, should he sign a pre-contract, at least outside the ground.
  3. IF, IMHO, there would be an argument, it would be between Goram and Klos. And IMHO, Klos, also because of his Borussia Dortmund days (and the fact that he paid up the remainder of his contract there to join us, IIRC), would shade it. In general, I seriously dislike these "best ever" stuff, not least because McGregor is fresh in people`s minds, but some heroics of Goram and Klos and some others have been consigned to memory loss. Here`s but one reminder of Klos Goram`s short-range stops were sensational too ...
  4. Which illness would want to touch that lot ...
  5. Agree. Scott Wright was lively on their wings, but other than that, bar Hayes maybe, not much to report home.
  6. Celtic confirm one Covid-19 case two days after squad returned from Dubai training trip
  7. At times, he reminds me of Lövenkrands. Not as because of his playing style, but as a guy who runs a lot, does a lot, but oftentimes the last ball or decision is wayward.
  8. Well, from 60th onward we looked a bit out of swing, so best to use the FIVE subs we had. But nothing. Bad goal given away and still not much change, apart from taking Hagi off and bring Zungu* on. Okay, Aberdeen did not really threaten, but it was uncomfortable enough. So why not throw on Defoe, Itten or Barker and Stewart. Power, speed, creativity and deadly finishes. Every now and then you dispair at that. On we soldier, another win, another three points. Could have been less nerve-wrecking though. * That was hard to predict, wasn´t it?!
  9. Maybe its just me, but if McInnes "takes the knee" at the start of the game, he should have the decency and take his hands out of his pockets. Thus it looked more like a stretching excercise ... Decent enough 1st half, took us some time to get our game going, be we were alreday in it before the penalty. Now put them to the sword early on and keep them there. First time I looked at Aberdeen`s Wright (who is rumoured to be a target) and he seems decent enough.
  10. Ain´t that the same bench bar the odd player for the last 5 to 10 games? Stick on for subs are Zungu, Itten and possibly Barker.
  11. McGregor Tavernier - Goldson - Balogun - Bariŝić Davis - Kamara Aribo - Hagi - Kent Morelos Subs: McLaughlin, Bassey, Patterson, Helander, Zungu, Barker, Stewart, Defoe, Itten So Kent is fit.
  12. ... let`s hope you didn`t tempt Fate with that! ?
  13. Kent out? Fine, let Jordan Jones loose! You wonder what approach SG is going to take, the physical or the technical one. In either case, the questions marks are only whether Zungu`s in from the start and whether it will be Itten/Defoe up front with Hagi, Aribo, or Morelos. He might throw in Barker instead of Kent, or Stewart on the right. But I imagine something like ... McGregor Tavernier - Goldson - Balogun - Barisic Davis - Kamara Hagi - Aribo - Morelos Itten ... or perhaps Itten on the right and Defoe/Morelos through the middle. On a sidenote, it is these rough and tumble games that I thought we brought Jones, Stewart, Barker and Zungu in, resting people whose ankles, knees et al are needed for the "more important games". Not least when we have some sort of advantage, be it table- or game-wise. On another sidenote, it is almost comical that as soon as the Scum was starting to win games again and pressure was on both Aberdeen and Hibs to match that, they stumbled and fell, thwarting their own chances on 2nd place. Hibs loosing two home games against almighty Livingston and Ross County, Aberdeen drawing with the Arabs
  14. I had a look at yesterday`s Scottish, Welsh, and Irish fixture list and about 80+ % were "Postponed - Other", i.e. Covid issues. You would hope we make sure that each Cove chap is thoroughly tested before coming anywhere near Ibrox ...

  16. One club to rule them all, And in the darkness bind them.
  17. I would assume it is one that the Rangers Board would look at as a (not the only) prime source of major income. Achieving income via a share issue is another, whereas getting 25+ % is on the same wavelengths*, but will - for obvious reasons - not deliver massive income / financial stability as CL/EL prize would. Looking objectively at it. *BTW, why do you come up with the main strategy of getting 25 % of the sharehold and thus a future safeguarding of the club in relation to short term goals such as the important participation in Europe? I think most of us will agree that Club 1872`s investment, outside the King share deal, is not exactly of a scale that will e.g. impact our transfer deals, which will eventually insure success on the park?
  18. Re Covid and financial shortfalls ... I would assume the Board trusts SG and his team so much, that they are willing to plug the holes one way or another for the time being, with the clear aim of reaching the CL group stages ASAP. And should that come to pass, a single season there may very well safeguard our finances for a season or more.
