  1. Looks like we have got our act together now, after leading 3-0 at HT, our women are now 4-0 up, Megan Bell, Kirsty Howatt and Zoe Ness before the break, Lizzy Arnott after 52 mins. City, according to their twitter, have had 2 penalty appeals (58 & 64 mins) waved away by the ref.
  2. Thing is, this is no new scenario. When you think back through the years, even the greatest sides with the greatest players went into such games, dominated them but only ended up with 1-goal wins. Its the big picture that counts, as each win adds to the point tally, be it by 1, 3 or 6 goals. I just hope Alfredo finds his goalscoring touch again, as his overall play has improved dramatically.
  3. Last game before the winter break, benchmark test for the ladies, away to Glasgow City. KO 4.10 pm https://twitter.com/RangersWFC REILLY: IT IS A GAME THE SQUAD ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO MALKY THOMSON IS EXPECTING AN ENTERTAINING GAME ON SUNDAY VIDEO: MALKY THOMSON GLASGOW CITY PRESS CONFERENCE EXCLUSIVE NEW MALKY THOMSON RANGERSTV INTERVIEW GALLERY: RANGERS PREPARE TO FACE GLASGOW CITY AT TRAINING
  4. Arabs dug in 5 m behind the halfway line and hoping for a counter. Morelos lucky, but got on well after that. Stunning goals ... and IMHO Smith sure only meant to pass it accross the area and got lucky. Might have had a penalty when Roofe was flattend by defender and goalie, should have had one when Kent was barged to the ground. Stay alert and keep concentration up lads.
  5. SG commented on Gilmour and Alegria in today's press conference, saying that there's nothing in the Gilmour link, but we are indeed looking at the Colombian. Probably at this time more for the academy than the first team. So we'll watch this space ...
  6. Itten has a tendency to hammer such goals with power and precision, hope he continues that. Kamara immense again.
  7. RANGERS: McLaughlin, Patterson, Goldson, Balogun, Barisic, Zungu, Arfield, Kamara, Aribo, Hagi, Itten SUBS: McGregor, Tavernier, Bassey, Kent, Morelos, Barker, Stewart, Barjonas, Kinnear, Dickson McLaughlin Patterson - Goldson - Balogun - Barisic Zungu - Kamara Arfield - Aribo - Hagi Itten ... or the like.
  8. It would be nice to top the group (money- and seeding-wise),but IMHO would be even cooler if we keep our unbeaten run going.
  9. It seems that we are also looking at Jakub Świerczok, a 27-year old Polish striker playing for Gliwice, where he is on-loan from Razgrad. His contract there runs out next summer, though they have some option to buy. Polish Link TM stats
  10. Its quite "cool" compared to what the Yahoos received for repeated offenses, e.g. the Palestinian flags and anti-Israel behaviour a few years back. The more flags they waved, the less they had to pay. In that respect, 10k looks rather silly.
  11. That solely depends on what you define as "progress for Rangers", doesn´t it? IMHO, both option are progress for Rangers.
  12. IMHO, it is still quite simple. Safe-guarding Rangers shares from "hostile" / "non-supporter" takeovers* is one aim, getting money into the club by buying new shares IF/SHOULD they become available the other aim. Club 1872 as the supporters' main vehicle to get a large chunk of shares under "one shareholder slot" should "simply" allow those wanting to invest a choice of how they want their money used. (I haven`t listened to the podcast just yet and don`t know what Laura has said.) *As distant a notion this might seem in the here and now.
  13. Results-/perfomance-wise they have a similar run like we had after the turn of the year for 2 years on the trott. Saw the highlights of their game vs St. Johnstone (which obviously didn`t include Brown`s kick at MOH which ended the latter`s game after 26 mins) and going by chances, they should have won that game hands down. As opposed to last season, we now have a few players who score goals regularly, not "just" Morelos. Likewise, we change tactics and players more often, something that we cried out for last season et al. The end product is there and if we manage to keep this consistency, stay clear of injuries and Covid-19, we don`t need to look at what they do. Easier said than done, of course.
  14. Opera blocks the above links, hence a straight one to the youtube podcast (if I may?)
  15. Well, as expected, after few days and podcasts, some more info comes out that is more interesting than outside opinions and conjecture - no disrespect to anyone, BTW: https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/18926815.dave-king-provides-ibrox-board-alternative-rangers-investment-plan-agreeing-club-1872-share-deal/ https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/18927220.dave-king-opens-fall-out-rumours-relationship-ibrox-board-rangers-share-sale-club-1872/ Now off to the podcast itself.
  16. Well, our ladies were rampant today ... RANGERS WIN THREE POINTS WITH NINE GOALS It really was a super performance from the Gers with hat-tricks from Lizzie Arnot and Kirsty Howat. Megan Bell, Daina Bourma and Bala Devi were also on the scoresheet at Rangers Training Centre.
  17. You mean punishment like the they got for the chap that had his US girl without quarantine and played and the other breach of governmental rules that I can`t remember right now? Whatever Nicola et al mumbles means nothing if the SPFL / SFA deems it "irrelevant" according to their rules. ?
  18. Rangers Women up against Motherwell today .. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EojxPSZW8AAq5ZR?format=jpg&name=large ... and it is live on RTV https://www.rangers.co.uk/article/rangers-motherwell-exclusively-live-on-rangerstv-this-sunday/7v25vFE1hwOVZlgu1WwRKj
  19. Tav will probably got all the headlines, but how impressive was Davis`workrate, passing and positioning? 88th min and he`s chasing an attacker in our own area. Just awesome.
  20. Well, well done against a brickwall side, concentration up 90 mins and clinical up top, you love watching this lot, don`t you?!
  21. Essentially, we could only replace Goldson with Bassey, so perhaps giving Barisic some rest and getting Bassey even sharper may mean a better back-up solution should either of our CHs drop out today or in weeks to come. I do expect Helander to be back soonish though. How`s the weather up there?
  22. There will be interest in Kamara, Tavernier and possibly some others com January and/or next summer, as is to be expected. It always depends on various factors, not least the player`s desire to stay or move on. We shall see. Speaking of which, a few of the Liege chaps weren`t too bad either.
  23. Did not realize that 3rd placed teams / failures from the CL get into the Europa League. As if they haven`t received enough cash from UEFA already ...
  24. Wee sidenote ... just 21 more games to go to beat Sir Walter`s record of unbeaten games in season 1992/93.
  25. ... so by "default" you assume that they would use their block "not in the best interest" of Rangers? I would have assumed that once anything important happens by, it is not a cabal of leaders that makes a decision, but that members will be asked to vote on how Club 1872 will use their block of shares?
