  1. Our German admin put the highlights out, dunno whether you can watch them in Britain ... https://streamable.com/0bktm4
  2. ... and that is what teams in Scotland do against us bar the Scum and teams in half a handful of games per season, if they think they can do it. And that is the case since Warburton ... They say: Never change a running system! But never change a broken system?
  3. Great games from Barron (MOTM) and Cerny. One might say a word or two about the others, but it's a team game and we win and lose as a team. Tonight, we won ... and it was good for the soul.
  4. We bring on a right-back, but not for the Old Man, but to allow the latter to become a right-winger ... ... while McCausland must be wondering what he's done wrong.
  5. Alas, some open game of football. Not high class, but entertaining. The ref's on his way to be a killjoy though
  6. The lass on the left needed that door to keep her vertical, it seems.
  7. Wee sidenote ... Kasanwirjo - 166 games (listed) - 92 centre-half - 60 right-back - 8 defensive midfield - left-back 5 - left midfield 1 ... not as left back-please. Unless Tavernier wrecks himself somehow, he is as likely to play on forever as we stick with this terrible line-up. Diomande and Raskin in DM means - like on Sunday - a neat lack of physicality where it matters. Sterling should have played vs Killie, and I would also like to see him tonight. You can bet your bottom penny that the line-up tonight will be exactly the same that we saw at Rugby Park, with the only possible change being amongst our DM trio, Raskin, Diomande, and/or Barron.
  8. Wee sidenote ... I don't know whether you only use Microsoft Word, there is the option of Open Office or Libre Office, who open these xlsx files too. But you can also save them as ods files, which reduces the file-size somewhat, but also makes sure that these documents open much quicker than the xlsx files (in said alternative programmes).
  9. Neither SG, nor Beale, nor Gio did anything different. Over on our German board, our admin said: it really doesn't matter whom we sign, almost all managers go with this one-striker thing. Which is probably true. Yet, only a dozen or so managers have to manage games in Scotland against the anti-football that is being played here. And even worse ... over the last decade or so, these hard Scotsmen and Britishmen adopted the "Don't touch me, or I'll fall" attitude that you "hated" the Iberians for. Remember when Sutton was falling down around the box in his Green-Grey days? It says a lot about the game in Britain that he's one of the main talking mouths in Scotland these days ...
  10. ... sorry, but no. Gio's away days were as dire as Clement's and SG's too. SG had one really good season, i.e. 55. And our system and the players clicked in Europe. I have since banished all thoughts of those dire seasons from memory - remember, we are back for 9 (NINE) years now. Almost any Scottish team had sussed our tactics and any new players out (since the days of Warburton) after a couple of months in the season. We never learned or changed tactics, only players. People may want to "see" a difference once the game have started, with this or that player takes up a different role, but such a system only works if you have the players. Which we don't. Neither have we high-scoring centre forwards, nor do we have high-scoring fellow attackers or midfielders contributing enough. Trying one failing thing over and over again, hoping for the better, is basically idiocy. BTW, last season started ... 0-1 away Kilmarnock (ooops) - Beale 2-1 home Servette (dito) CLQ 4-0 home Livingston (dito) 1-1 away Servette (dito) CLQ) 2-1 home Morton (dito) LC 2-2 home PSV (dito) CLQ 2-0 away Ross (dito) 1-5 away PSV (dito) CLQ 0-1 home Scum (dito) 2-0 away St Johnstone (dito) 1-0 home Betis (dito) EL 1-0 home Motherwell (dito) 4-0 Hampden Livingston (dito) LC 1-3 home Aberdeen (dito) Beale sacked after 7 match days, 12 points on the board 1-2 away Aris - Davis 3-0 away St Mirren - Davis 4-0 home Hibs - Clement
  11. As long as we don't get someone willing to move away from Plan A, we are going nowhere. Alas, Igamane was doing quite well. He needs Dessers alongside him, Bajrami behind him. BTW, that pass by Dowell, Igamane's take and shot were sublime. Speaking of sublime ... Jermaine Defoe!
  12. Can you un-follow a team and still be fan of the club?
  13. I want Sakala back! ... and Kent. He may actually win us a penalty that our captain can score from and save our and his blushes.
  14. Dowell for Lawrence and Kasanwirjo for Cerny ... that'll do it!
  15. What's Lawrence still doing on the pitch, yellow-carded, blocking Bajrmain's prime slot and doing nothing ...
  16. We go there every season, know how the pitch is and how it is going to be, and yet, end up with the same battle-trash that we witnessed so far. 1,5 pass marks so far: 1 for Barron, 0,5 for Butland. Souttar and Pröpper get a 0, the rest would see a minus before their number. Alas, most of the teams come here and suffer the same, including you know who.
  17. In this day and age of VAR and minute decisions ... maybe I am wrong, but IMHO the goalkeeper's clearance has to be done from inside the penalty area. McCrorie has done it twice now, with one foot well outside the area, respectively. That should be, by the law of the game, a free kick to us?
  18. Today is the day when Plan A will be made better! *Sarcasm mode off*
  19. ... thanks mate. Who needs horror movies now?!
  20. Stuart Munro ... back in the day when I started to follow Rangers. And Robert Fleck. For some reason, fullbacks are high on that list of unsung heroes, like Davie Robertson and Stephen Wright, even Alec Clelland. Pieter Huistra or Dale Gordon. Of late, Dean Shiels and Greg Stewart.
  21. Well, yards (sic!) better than the Hibernian game. 2 good goals, 3 points, too bad for Hagi ... and now another unwanted break.
  22. One-way traffic all night long so far. If only they could resist the odd step-over or clever trick and shoot once opportunity arises ...
  23. Rangers vs St Johnstone set to be moved to Sunday NIGHT as SPFL solve fixture headache due to Great Scottish Run ... ... you think you've seen it all before. I'm fine with it, as I'll be working at the local ice hockey game in the afternoon and will be home for kick-off.
  24. Much of the above is correct. We surely lack some stability in the financial department, still, IMHO, we'd have fared and will fare better had we adopted tactics according to the games at hand. While many laughed at Warburton's claim "of making Plan A better", we (the managers) essentially never thought about Plan B or C. We simply shoehorned players into these positions, sometimes better, sometimes not. More or less hoping that "quality will change the day". The stubbornness amongst our managers of this last decade was bordering on insanity, IMHO. On hindsight, we had one rather well-thought of winger/attacker in Kent, yet no-one was willing to spend even 3 or 5m for him. So his contract ran out. We had one of the most solid defenders in Goldson (remember the 55 season), yet, no-one was willing to pay any reasonable figure for him at the height of his career with us. Even more shocking, all of Europe was swooning over this right-back of ours, scoring 100+ goals and assisting about as many, and no-one was showing up with a reasonable bid. (Maybe they did, but we weren't told ... as unlikely as this is.) Not to speak of Morelos .... Perhaps we just overestimated the quality that was there? A thousand flies can't be all wrong ...
  25. BTW, going by the comments on FF, the refs did all they could to get the Yahoo girls a late draw yesterday.
