  1. Rhats win it ... scored one chance more than we did. Dunno whether that sending-off was correct, from what I saw, it was a tackle ... and there was "contact" and this "he had every right to go down" as per Kevin Thomson. Anyway, just more "icing" on this horrible season ...
  2. 5-6 ... honestly, they might win this, but it could have gone either way.
  3. Two decent enough chances or us now, not enough composure, so it goes high and wide ...
  4. And another rat tips in a goal that he'll never score again. 4-6
  5. A bit strange ... season's still running for one weekend. Well, who cares.
  6. Rangers transfers: 8 players linked with move to Ibrox - Scotsman Kieran Dowell - Jack Butland - Morgan Whittaker - Chris Willock (i.e. MB refutes signing rumour) - Marcus Coco - Jonathan Panzo - Tim Iroegbunam - Luis Palma 6 potential Rangers transfer striker options from Ligue 2 livewires to Serbian sharpshooter as Beale search hots up - DR They had a look at what is available and might interest us (or has): Christian Kouame (see OP) - Djordje Jovanovic (Macc. Tel Aviv, 1 year left) - Jean-Phillipe Krasso (Saint-Etienne, freebie) - Jerry Yates (Blackpool, 1 year left, "heavily linked" before ... ) - Josh Maya (Bordeaux, freebie) - Ge-Sung-Cho ( Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors) ... I leave most of them out of the OP for the time being The relevant info on most of these players are now in the OP, so no need to hand clicks to unwanted media outlets.
  7. One player alone never is. I still wouldn't mind having him here for another season, yet we also need a fit Lawrence, Colak, Roofe, Jack et al, as well as replacements for people who simply have gone past their sell-by date. You see Raskin and Cantwell and think: wow, just wow! And that is not just an indicator of what is out there and available to us, but also an indicator what sort of level we have become accustomed to - and as Rangers should never have.
  8. I saw two of the three they scored last time around, and they rank amongst the worst I have seen against them. BTW, that assist by Tavernier back in the day of our first post-xmas collapse still sticks to the memories too. A few weeks ago, I came to the conclusion that in my time as a Bluenose, i.e. since roundabout 1985, I have read and heard about and seen Rangers teams that gave me so much pleasure and joy, NIAR, the first ever Champions League campaign and all that. So, by any standards of your "average" football supporter, this club has gained a lot of credit "on the good side" of the game, so one can't always complain about what happens all the time. Obviously, Rangers is something special, and our environment too. We've been through the most vile depths of the game thanks to our neighbors and their machinations, and have suffered at their hands for (felt) ages. For certain reasons, we have not managed to get a grip of the Scottish game for the best part of 5 years, even when we won 55. I simply ignore the European campaigns, as they were always a neat bonus, for the return where it matters, i.e. in the Ibrox trophy room, was de facto abysmal. Watching us last and this season could almost drive you away from football. No matter what he does, but Beale needs to get the house in order, cut ties with people that won't help us any longer and get people in who do. Whether they come from the 4th tier of England, Kazakhstan, or whatever, we need guys who play for the Gersey 24/7, give their all, and strive for the better. (The "quality" the Scum has assembled is not that much greater than ours, but they have the players to do the job where it matters - and we simply don't.) And we need to so some acceptance in the brain-department that this one-striker garbage will not get us anywhere in the Scottish game, unless you have the players who whip in with a dozen goals each from either flank and midfield. We hardly ever had that ever since SG took over, and we still lack that - even though this season has been ravaged by injuries (namely Lawrence, Roofe, and Colak). Seeing Morelos jogging about make me cry for Defoe. On hindsight, what a guy we had there ...
  9. Straight after the one regarding the Nordstream bombings, rest assured. BTW, it is always sort of interesting to note the silence about "bigoted" or "sectarian" chanting and songs et al, when it is not of importance to the mhedia or relevant for someone's political agenda. (Then again, maybe there are news and they just escaped my attention ... )
  10. Matondo has had 23 "games" this season for Rangers. I can remember only a handful or two - even though that could be said about a lot of players and games this season. If it was up to me, of those whose full-time contracts are up this summer, I'd give Jack and Arfield another year.
  11. Maybe we don't sign Tillman for the quoted 5m ... or, what I would assume, we "simply" have a transfer window budget of x million anyway.
  12. IN Luis Palma (23) - LW, Honduras, Aris Saloniki, contract til 2026 - LINK - TM Rangers ready near-Β£4.3million bid to sign Luis Palma as transfer hurry emerges from Greece Rangers are pushing to close a deal for Honduran attacker Luis Palma β€œas soon as possible” ahead of the competition, according to The Transfer Geek. The 23-year-old has been attracting widespread attention with multiple bids from different countries are already thought to have been rejected. But after scouting him a number of times it appears the Gers are pressing ahead to secure an agreement with a €5million bid expected imminently [Β£4.3million]. ... https://www.ibroxnews.com/2023/04/28/rangers-ready-near-4-3million-bid-to-sign-luis-palma-as-transfer-hurry-emerges-from-greece/
  13. Murillo and Kouame links to TM added now.
  14. Frankie mentioned a couple of players (strikers) in the MB thread, Murillo and Kouame, TM is seemingly down right now, so I will add info on them later.
  15. I saw decent players arriving, too bad that e.g. Lawrence and Colak suffered injuries, while Hagi's turned out longer than expected too. Cantwell and Raskin look really well, even Tillman (though I doubt we will have him here next season). I would assume MB knows what he wants and where to look for it, and one would hope that he has the guts to cut ties with some "veterans" who simply don't get to the next or currently required level.
  16. Will be away to work, after last Sunday, that's probably a blessing in disguise. On paper, MB has done well, won a large percentage of all his games, yet, the important ones all went against us - and IMHO also due to wrong tactics. Gio's season suffered from that, but also from a host of injuries to and lack of form by his best players. One can but hope that MB will turn them over at the weekend, and thus save some face for this current squad. And truth be told, we didn't look that bad against them last time, but handed them 3 really really bad goals, like we did against St. Mirren a few days later. That's why I also agree that we need to build from the back, team-wise, for next season (and I for one still can't believe that we gave Goldson a new deal ... on hindsight mainly because we didn't find a better replacement). So unless we send out a team with fire in their gets and focussed on the game, that will be that. Here's hope ... I would like to write, but I've done that about 25 times before this season and nothing came of it. Hence, expectation levels are minimal, thus disappointment levels will also stay low.
  17. Working on the font and size over the coming days. As per usual, if you find any errors, you can keep them πŸ€ͺ

  19. I would assume that playing 32 games for Schalke in Germany's Bundesliga et al, and 27 more games in the top league in Belgium at Cercle Brugges, by the age of 21, shows that some football brains rate him. Likewise, he wouldn't end up with ManCity's u21s either. He hardly had a good run in the team or a decent start either (23 games with an average of 38 mins per game) ... yet for some reason people want every player to have an instant impact in a totally alien (by football standards) environment. Some do, others don't. IIRC, NIAR hero Hateley took almost a season before he came truly good alongside McCoist and/or MoJo. MB indicated that he will be here next season, so why not give him a run now. Probably not against the Scum, though.
  20. It's his first full season as a professional footballer in a top team environment ... with ever changing roles and players near him. If I had a say, I'd play Matondo on the left, Tillman and Raskin through the middle, and Sakala on the right. Colak and Morelos up top, Davies, Goldson, and Souttar in defence, with Jack the DM.
  21. No hatchets allowed inside Ibrox, or Edmiston House, for that matter.
  22. I think it is time for Rousseau to get his gifs ready ...
  23. If it comes to pass, make sure you put your smartphone on the table and make it clear to the interviewer et al that the record app is running.
  24. Hey, this is a Rangers board, after all. I truly have given up on this season a month or two ago. Beale or not, we do the same stuff over and over again, same players, same tactics. Even after the season was gone, we go on with the same dross. Yes, there are injuries, and truth be told, much of our season was ravaged by that. But that sounds like a lame excuse if you see the above, i.e. ... same stuff over and over again, same players, same tactics. We have a decent enough bunch of players to make next season a better one, yet we also need to chuck quite a few of the "old hands" as well as changing tactics for teams like the shyte dross we faced today. Hope dies last, is the saying. But hope doesn't look very healthy in the here and now either.
