Some cool old heads in there with Davis and Arfield, one hopes Aribo starts at 100 % and doesn`t drop too deep. -

Some short remark in the publication that shall be avoided that Cedric Itten seemingly suffered from some Covid aftereffects, hence he has not seen more involvement since coming back. Likewise, Gio said that he would not have loaned Itten at the start of the season. You would assume that we start with Kent, Sakala and Wright, which would give us direct and fast players. You`d hope Arfield is in there too, since he usually pops up in vital spaces. -

German Highlights ... and truth be told, two RB guys (both offside) were standing in front of McGregor when Angelino struck the ball. -

Their main strikers were out, that French guy is super-talented, but not a real striker. We played a low block and only came out after the break. Make no mistake, when these guys have room to play in, they can rip most teams apart (won 4-1 away in Dortmund and 2-0 in Bergamo recently). I reckon we will play Sakala, Arfield and maybe Roofe from the start and hopefully hit them early on and don`t try to play triangles close to our area. Their defence isn`t that good and can be hit with pace, but we do need someone in the middle. Wonder when Ramsey will be back. -

Domenico Tedesco ... born in Rossano / Italy and looks every inch an Italian (despite living much of his life in Germany). -

Didn`t notice it when the shot was whistling through everybody, but when you see the slow motions ... ... then again, the ball was hitting the net before McGregor actually moved, IIRC. -

Well, to be honest, we had fare worse nights out in Europe this season. We kept them at bay rather comfortably and that worldy was more a desperate attempt than anything. Rarely you get so much luck hitting a shot how he did it and it goes through a 4 or more players. Thing is, the few times we arrived in their area, they looked far from comfortable. All to play for. -

This looks hardcore Walteresque ... but RB runs a lot without really threatening. Not wanting to tempt fate, but so far, so good. Maybe one good counter attack ... -

Kamara is of no use in that role. Today he tried to to his usual midfield passing and ball-retention stuff in an area where he should not. If anything, concede a corner. But we still do a lot of unnecessary passing around our area again, instead of clearing balls to safety. Now it will be hard, even though that Motherwell defence looks there for the taking. Inconsistent refereeing at its glaring best. Hope he gets his act together in the 2nd half ...

Abdoulaye Sissako 'in Rangers transfer talks' as chase heats up for Zulte Waregem free agent The 23-year-old is reportedly on their radar is out of contract at the end of the season and would cost nothing. Premiership champions Rangers have entered into talks with midfield enforcer Abdoulaye Sissako and are favourites to snap up the Zulte Waregem star. The 23-year-old is reportedly on their radar is out of contract at the end of the season and would cost nothing. And reports in Belgium have suggested Sissako has already started negotiations with the Europa League semi-finalists and is close to agreeing on a move to the Premiership. Sissako has an option for a further year at Zulte Waregem, but he wants to move on after the Flanders outfit finished third bottom of the league. He came through the youth system at Auxerre and joined Zulte Waregem three years ago. He is the older brother of former PSG defender Moussa Sissako, who currently also plays in Belgium with Standard Liege. Sissako has made 19 appearances for Zulte Waregem this season and scored twice. He was linked with a move to Panathinaikos in January, but the move to Greece fell through. He missed a chunk of the end of last season because of a lung infection, but returned to play a big part this term in Belgium and has scored twice so far this term. Zulte Waregem have stated they wanted to persuade Sissako to sign a new deal with them. Former boss Francky Dury, who has since been sacked, said earlier this season: "We continue to hold talks with Abdoulaye and hope we can agree a new contract. "He was in the Frence youth teams when he was younger and you can see that with the way he plays. He's an excellent player and we hope he stays." However, Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst is already planning for next season and sees Sissako as a bargain for the new campaign. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/abdoulaye-sissako-in-rangers-transfer-26779036 Sissako at TM Lancelot Pollard eyed for Rangers transfer from Aberdeen as Ibrox side ready six-figure bid to beat Liverpool Rangers are prepared to make their move now to get an early deal done for one of the brightest talents emerging through Cormack Park. Determined Rangers are looking to beat Liverpool to the signing of Aberdeen youngster Lancelot Pollard. The Premiership champions are aware that there is big interest in the Dons' young attacker and are prepared to make a six figure bid to get a quick deal over the line. Liverpool have an active interest while Manchester United are also known to be keeping tabs on the talented teenager. Rangers are prepared to make their move now to get an early deal done. Pollard has come through the Cormack Park youth ranks and has been seen as one of the best young talents in the Aberdeen academy. He has played up through the Aberdeen under-age teams and has also turned out for their under-18 squad. That has brought Pollard to the attention of Rangers and some of England’s biggest clubs. Aberdeen know they could lose him for training compensation when he is able to sign his first pro-forms. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/lancelot-pollard-eyed-rangers-transfer-26779103

Referee – Nick Walsh Assistants – Graeme Stewart and Craig Ferguson Fourth Official – Gavin Duncan Missing - Ianis Hagi (knee), Nnamdi Ofoborh (heart), Alfredo Morelos (muscle), Filip Helander (foot), Aaron Ramsey (thigh), Kemar Roofe (knee) Live on - Sky Sports Football and Rangers TV The brain says: the league is probably gone (more because of the Scum are unlikely to drop many or more points than us), Europe will be a nice bonus, but Leipzig is on a run ... so let`s hope we don`t suffer any more injuries ahead of the cup final. My gut feeling is that we won`t see Itten, not least since he hasn`t had any competitive football for ages. Tony Weston, Charlie McCann, and Ross McCausland are the front three for the B-side recently, so one wonders whether one of them plus Lowry will see more game time (need to check who is near or above the 5-game threshold, given they have a Glasgow Cup Final ahead).

SPFL Clubs Vote To Approve Introduction Of VAR
der Berliner replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
The rest of the Scottish clubs twist every penny twice before spending it, and grab as much as quickly as they can. As we saw with "that vote". The business plan of the SPFL is an utter shambles and has been for years, so they will hope that the OF will pay most of the VAR ... and truth be told, we will be more than willing to have it implemented sooner rather than later, given the rather lenient way the referees and linesmen go about their business with them. -
SPFL Clubs Vote To Approve Introduction Of VAR
der Berliner replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Our 3-2 vs Dortmund was also un-VAR'ed, when Morelos snatched the ball from the German defender, who actually kicked Morelos as the latter went passed him stealing the ball and fell. To man, the German TV reporter and commentator, like the Scottish ones, agreed that this was not a foul. Yet, the ref only saw a couple of angles and not the relevant one (which we got on TV), so he made the "wrong" decision. It happens. Dunno how it was in the stadium, but I saw the "hand ball" by Borna a few times in slow-motion, but even in the angle the ref had on his VAR screen, it hardly looked that he handled, stopped or even really touched the ball (it did not change direction or spin). So I found that a strange one.
