Itten doing rather well playing the target man and keeping the ball up. Nice run to free himself for the header and 1-1. Lowry with the corner. And then that break with Devine finding Ramsey who slips in Lowry on the left and what a goal. People look for summer signings, but I would say that promoting this lad to the first team will be one of the more important things on Gio`s agenda. And maybe getting Ramsey too, if only for 20 cameos per season. The vision and skill of them two is a joy to watch. Wonder what the plans for Amad might be. Hearts scored a bit of a worldy, then just rely on quick counter attacks, remain dangerous, but we could easily hit them for another three or four too.

At times it is really cool to see the old hands pull the passes, that passage with Sands, Davis and Arfield was so cool. Ramsey`s a bit off with his passes and shots, but always there, always willing. Sands and King strolling it - and they are part of holding the Arabs in their half and giving nothing away - Sakala a bit too enthusiastic as usual, but also always there and willing. Hope we put them to the sword early on now ...

Unbelievable display again, despite not being at full strength. Lundstram and Jack work tirelessly in DM, Kent and Wright chase everything, some truly fine goals. Too bad Aribo swung free in front of goal, but one could not ask for more here. The yellows to our defenders add up, hopefully we stay clear of more fouls the ref deems naughty. That one foul against Kent was sure worth a card ...

For some strange reason, Fate would have it, that my favourite (and local) ice-hockey team squared up to the Red Bull ice-hockey incarnation in Germany in the final round of the play-offs for the title. So I got my over-dose of Red Bull these last 6 days, with that one game in Leipzig and four over here. As it happens, with three wins needed in a "Best of 5" series, the Eisbären Berlin clawed their way back from an initial home defeat in the first match, to make last night`s game the decisive one of the series. The chaps in white are the "good ones" and here`s how it went. I just hope, the lads in Blue follow suit today!

They still are ... and in a year`s time or so, this war will probably be over and forgotten like so many others, e.g. Serbia. Quite a bit of western economy will lay in ruins, while Russia, who is largely self-sufficient, will get on with it. In fact, quite a few over there - people and countries alike - will most likely be welded together more closely against the West than they were ever before, while dealing with China (who likes Russian oil and gas), India et al. And if the West starts threatening China with embargoes and sanctions too, it would simply be another economical Waterloo, given how the world is dependent on China in this day and age. That said, it is quite remarkable how Westerners sling the word "civilised society" et al about, like they hardly behave in any way any different to the Russians when their own "spheres of interest" or "people" are threatened. Just look how the US openly threaten the Solomon Island`s government about their security deal with China. But we have debated that over in the Lounge before.

Equally pathetic, and you know that too. I wasn`t making a comment re Borna, BTW, but ian coming up with that pathetic "Did we win?" line. -

That`s 11 swallows now, not bad for a "winger", 5 short of Roofe, 8 of Morelos. -

They gave their all and with half an ounce more luck, we could and should (sic) have snatched 3 points here. Scum looked totally ragged the last 20 odd mins, Beaton saved their @rse a couple of times ... and bar same comical errors early this year and a string of shocking refereeing performances at the Scum`s games, the title race shouldn`t be over. -

Borna was caught once and then had a couple of scary moments, much like Tav on the other side. The most threat close to the break came on the right. The tendency to - usually needlessly - find scapegoats is not new though. And that`s just a general remark. -

Well, you have Aribo jogging about, Kent at his winger-ish best, Arfield tied with destroying their build-up and Sakala far too deep. That`s no front three or attack play, but there is no real striker bar Itten on the bench. And I doubt we`ll send Lowry out to replace Aribo ... -

The excuse brigade out in force. Borna shot, Sakala basic. Really folks, that`s quite desperate. Kent is the guy who fluffs 4 out of 5 chances and can do no wrong. Maybe we share our desparation to all out there. After all, the most threat came on our right side again. For some reason, Sakala is ordered to play far too deep, Aribo is jogging about while Davis, Arfield and Lundstram work their socks off. They don`t look that cool and apparently just wait for some quick counter strikes, had a few opportunities at the end, yet you wonder how it would go had Kent sunk one of his two shot. Their Japanese guys need a bit of a bruising, the clown is far too busy ... -

Kent had 2 good chances and squandered them, they score with their first after doing hardly anything. Sakala playing far too deep. Stop laying into Borna. He´s no worse than anyone else.
