This is fine and correct. it however work better the lower the starting point and there is a risk that the money becomes a consolation for a ruined career when it comes to football. Connor Goldson no doubt could have got more money elsewhere but the level of football would have been lower. or at very least the chance to win things. most people and most footballer will always take the money.

My favourite memory of him was an old firm game. Di Canio ran through chasing the ball but was off side as ever. he turns to go back up the park and the ball rolls through to Andy. He boots it back up the park so we can take the freekick and it hits Di Canio on the back of the head almost certainly accidentally. Di Canio turns round and shouts and balls at Andy. Meanwhile the ball rolls back to Andy. Di Canio walks away and Andy promptly pings it off the back of his head again from 40 yards away. Que utter uproar. He would have been great in the modern age of ball playing Goalies.

We must be at the maximum of our wage bill and certainly do not need squad players. We need to sort the futures of Alfie, Kent and Aribo and then what we need is to lose a few fringe players in favour of youth and make a big signing at RW and replace any of the big 3 who leave.

They must be better at left back given how gash Taylor is but they lost there best midfielder. They have spent 20 million to stand still.

We never had a 10 point start and no one has of late managed to make the EL final and win the league. It very much looks to be a step too far to do so.

It is awkward for us. Do we go out and spend say 3 million on a RW only to sell Aribo and Alfie for 12 million each say and we could have got 3 6 million quid players in for RW AM and ST. If we are selling we need to do so swiftly. Ross needs to earn his corn here.
