Even if he loses us a game he wins us the game every week.

Paul Gascoigne used to do daft things and cost us in Europe one year should we have got rid of him?

Saurez has done how many stupid things?

Enjoy the good and hope we can minimise the bad. Already he is shown signs of learning he's only a kid after all. Give home some time

Gazza cost us once against Ajax when he kicked out at Bogarde.

Every player does something in a game. Arfield was also mixing it and Brodfoot should have had about 4 yellow cards. how the referee and the whole of BT sport can come to the conclusion that stopping someone in their tracks with an arm is not a penalty I will never know

Oh I know and wholeheartedly agree.

But it does just seem like Morelos again and again for us over stupid sh*t. When it is completely unnecessary.

He actually held back quite a lot today. Judging on his performances this season he will win us far more than lose us. Also don't forget his red card was rescinded. We do need another striker thoughas he will play on the edge of yellow cards

Did you not see him needlessly pushing into the Killie defender after the Ejaria header?

Chance was gone, now head away.  But he felt the need to start pushing into people.

I think hes starting to get clever with it.

Starting to wind up defenders who think they will get him sent off.

I don't, he keeps getting involved over stupid things and at times when he should keep the nut.

God knows,  I love a striker that puts himself about. But Morelos reeks of immaturity.  I hope it is something about his game he can change.

Scoring in different leagues is completely irrelevant when you're consistently getting extremely poor goal returns. Am I meant to be impressed that Lafferty went to Switzerland and scored 5 league goals in 25 games? If he achieved any goalscoring consistency he wouldn't have to keep finding new clubs.

He clearly contributes.  Is he a world beater? No of course not. But we need players that can contribute and Lafferty fits that bill.

Career total of 407 games....98 goals scored.

Morelos is only 25 career goals short of Lafferty, after only 137 games.  Lafferty is certainly NOT the reliable striker that many folk seem to think - his 19 goals for Hearts last season was only the 3rd time he's hit double figures in a season (other twice being 2013-14 with Palermo(12) and 2010-11 with us(15).) and also his highest goal tally ever in a single season.

Also, as we have seen in recent years, many Gers fans don't like players who "disappear" in games.....what's Lafferty's work rate like???  I've never got the impression that he was a grafter.....

But like I say he'll contribute.  He's not being brought in to be our main striker.

Lafferty’s overall goal record across his career is horrendous.

Since he left Rangers he's scored goals goals in Switzerland, England, Italy, Turkey and Scotland as well as finishing top scorer for his country during their qualification for Euro 2016.

To me that shows a level of versatility and that he is adaptable and surely that is what Rangers should be looking for?

Will he be top scorer? No. Will he contribute? Yes.

Would Morelos get dropped to accommodate Lafferty? ( if he signs)

    certainly hope not

    I doubt it.

At the moment I think Morelos will be our main striker (unless we pull something out the bag) Sadiq and Lafferty alongwith possibly Murphy will be utilized as different options but still to support Morelos.
