Motherwell have been lucky been all Rangers.

Steve Bruce had issues with McCormacks fitness levels and attitude at Villa.  If he's not resolved these,  I wouldn't have him.

Chance was gone, now head away.  But he felt the need to start pushing into people.

God knows,  I love a striker that puts himself about. But Morelos reeks of immaturity.  I hope it is something about his game he can change.

Controversial I know, and I know he scored a hat trick today.

But Morelos is a ticking time bomb he'll cost us if he doesn't screw the bobbin. 

We shouldn't take anything less than 10 million for Morelos with a 10-20% sell on clause.

He clearly contributes.  Is he a world beater? No of course not. But we need players that can contribute and Lafferty fits that bill.

Morelos is only 25 career goals short of Lafferty, after only 137 games.  Lafferty is certainly NOT the reliable striker that many folk seem to think - his 19 goals for Hearts last season was only the 3rd time he's hit double figures in a season (other twice being 2013-14 with Palermo(12) and 2010-11 with us(15).) and also his highest goal tally ever in a single season.

 

Also, as we have seen in recent years, many Gers fans don't like players who "disappear" in games.....what's Lafferty's work rate like???  I've never got the impression that he was a grafter.....

But like I say he'll contribute.  He's not being brought in to be our main striker.

Will he be top scorer? No. Will he contribute? Yes.

I doubt it.

At the moment I think Morelos will be our main striker (unless we pull something out the bag) Sadiq and Lafferty alongwith possibly Murphy will be utilized as different options but still to support Morelos.

Lafferty will do a job for us and that is all you can ask for.

He appears to have matured a lot in his time away and is trying to confront a lot of his past issues. So i'm happy to welcome him back.

Always seemed to play on the left for us. 

Unless of course he was through the middle which was quite rare.

He defo did, I've seen footage on the Rangers Archives pages on facebook of him taking them.
