Played in Laudrups debut at Ibrox against Motherwell. Thoughts go out to David and his family.

Glad that he turned up.

I'd have had Cummings over Morelos. Much better composure.

Rumoured anyway!

Costa Rica 1990 left a very sour taste, craig.
I remember rushing home from school to see it.
The next game against Sweden was great though.

I visited Villa Park last year. Archibald Leitch got a lot of mentions during the tour as did Ibrox and Rangers.
Also the name of John Cleese's character in a Fish Called Wanda.

I forsee Miller becoming the next Ferguson and Boyd.

Hopefully not part of the kit deal and a separate deal that we make something out of.

...although is not something that a manager would normally deal with himself? Surely he has the power to fine players, suspend them, strip the captaincy, get them to train with the reserves etc?
How often did guys like Walter or Ferguson resort to getting the directors involved?
It showed a massive weakness, in my opinion.
His position was untenable when the chairman was publicly undermining him and he couldn't strengthen his position with results.
Old pros will smell blood in that circumstance and go for the jugular.
Which, I think creates a situation where the board have to intervene.
Whether Murty asks for it or not.

As has already been said, his legs have gone
Gerrard was always the type of player, that was the engine for the team he was playing for.
He never changed his playing style and it caught up with him. If he had he might still be playing.

We cannot spend more than we earn. That's got to be a basic principle we stick to, especially if we ever want to reach a point where we're not reliant on rich directors to fund us. As long as we rely on rich guys like DK and the others, we are placing faith in their motives. I do trust DK's motives, but we need to become self reliant to remove that risk in future.
Sadly this appears to be something we are doing consistently at the moment.
I fully concur that we need to move to a position where we are self funding and sustainable.
I fear that will now be some time off. As we lost perhaps our best opportunity to achieve this when we were in the lower leagues.

£3.5M for a guy who’s not played all that much in the last 2 years, seems excessive.

Going for a 38 year old to mentor McCrorie if this was true we could just bring back Clint Hill, whom we should have kept IMO.
Hill was an honest pro but that was about it.

Way too dark IMO
Similar shade to the old Adidas top we had in the 90's.
I quite liked that top and colour.

I thought we played well and deserved to win.
Croatian football has a great record of producing future talent. Look at Modric, Rakitic and Kovacic.
I'm not saying we're world beaters but it's a result not to be sniffed at.
