  1. Fair points Jaun but I would have gladly taken decent, tidy and quick to release the ball in any game this season above slow, one paced, sideway passing and long balls....
  2. I only judge a player when I've seen him play and I liked what I saw in Mckay. Remember if we were so quick to judge players too quickly we would not have touched Aluko and this player that was deemed not good enough for various teams has become a mainstay in our team
  3. Not good enough? Based on what? 2 and a half games where he was out of position? Whatever the qualities of McKay were I am damn sure thet were head and shoulders above McCulloch, Bartley, Papac and Wallace in terms of contributing to a failing midfield
  4. If this is true, this has to be one of the saddest peices of football news of our bewildering season. To only see this guy play on limited occasions during a time when Ally deemed it viable to continue with the obviously flawed Papac/Wallace combo as well as crow bar guys like Bartley and McCulloch into our engine room says more about our current manager than the merits of Matt McKay. Good luck wee man. IMO you were the right guy in the wrong place at the wrong time
  5. I could understand the whole MacMillan thing if we had an abundance of great right sided defenders but for this young player to lose out to Kyle Bartley whilst Whittaker and Broadfoot were both injured was staggering TBH. I'm not even sure if Bartley is a good CB nevermind a right back.
  6. Agree but we need a manager with a vision and philosophy that can be transfered to all our teams (first team, U-19's, U-17's) so that these players can make an easier transistion to the first team.
  7. Probably but it will be interesting to see the wee guy play more than 5 minutes this season.
  8. Looking ahead to the ICT game at the weekend I see we could be without 8 first team players for that game. Edu and Papac are definately out due to suspension so surely Matt McKay must get the nod? If there is an official ICT thread, please move this.
  9. Agree 100% mate. There are enough songs to sing that don't involve hating something for goodness sakes. Let's be positive about our club and support the team without any negative stuff attached. I must admit that I was somewhat dismayed that certain folks used the game at the weekend to merely crank up the sectarian megaphone instead of positively supporting the team and the club
  10. Agreed Frankie but surely there must be a way of having a representation for the fans on the board? They might not get full voting rights but could act more as a bridge between the board and the lifeblood of the club.
  11. Despite our club's future being so uncertain and muddled with hearsay and speculation, there is one thing that all Rangers fans can agree on at the moment and that is we need a new road forward for the club. Regardless of what the outcome is over the next few months a new vision and a new approach for our great club cannot be disputed after many years of wreckless mismanagement. What would your top 5 changes be to enable our club to establish a more stable long term future? My 5 would be: 1. Not factoring monies accrued from Europe as a vital part of the accounts 2. A board that is more democratic than autocratic with fan representation (with maybe a 5 year cycle for a chairmen?) 3. A cash based fan membership and voting scheme to have a bigger input into our club 4. A more imaginative marketing and PR dept. after too many years of poor PR 5. Maybe a figurehead as the Club President? (ex-player or manager)
  12. Apologies dude. I had a look for it but obviously couldn't see it for looking?
  13. I'm sorry if this has been upped before but I thought it was quite interesting with regards to the Tax case http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/rangers_administration_key_witness_says_rangers_can_still_win_50m_tax_case_1_2125385
  14. Surely comparisons with Marseille and Juventus are pointless as they were found guilty of bribery and match fixing. Rangers have not been found guilty of anything illegal by the HMRC and even if they lose the Tax Case the only thing they could be found "guilty" of would be naively using a clause that was endorsed by HMRC themselves?
  15. Agreed Frankie. I also think it would be a positive if any future owners/board of Rangers do not factor in European qualification as a vital element of our future balance sheets, leaving these funds as pure (bonus) profit outwith the general day to day/week to week running of the club
  16. I've read many column inches regarding the possibility of Rangers coming out of admin before the European deadline at the end of the March but considering the gravitas of our predicament, is Europe a priority? I have various fears regarding this deadline. If we come out of admin too soon without a full conclusion of where we stand, is there not a possibility of going back into admin again and losing a further 10 points? The whole Europe thing baffles me. As much as that's were we want to be (eventually) is it really that important to rush things to meet a deadline for the sake of a limited amount of cash coming on the back of a few UEFA cup games? Who knows what our playing staff will look like so surely a strong and stable domestic showing is the top priority?
  17. It's pretty impossible to make any judgements on this until the full details are revealed. Either way I still think that flushing out a new buyer was always part of the bigger plan by Whyte. I've heard from a good source that Jim McColl is one of the interested parties??
