  1. If they do, what will trigger that? I for one cannot see the SFA opening up this can of worms as it has major repercussions including players that have represented Scotland
  2. If the HMRC dont' accept a CVA surely they are in for getting diddly squat back from this?
  3. There has been much said about this subject and their relevant investigations. One of the much quoted assumptions is that Rangers 9 in a row activities could be looked into as part of this wider investigation. Can someone please clear a few things up? Does the investigation by the SPL into EBT's/double contracts specifically relate to the period between 2001/2 until 2010? I heard a journalist on the radio the other night (don't know who?) stating that Rangers 9 in a row is not up for question as this is a specific SPL inquiry and the SPL didn't exist then so it has nothing to do with 9IAR? Only the SPD (or what body it was back then) can look into this and they don't exist anymore. I know Adams made his statement about double contracts etc. during the 90's but is there any suggestion that this period is actually being invstigated by anyone? Or is the case of the SFA are waiting to find out the results of the 2001-2010 SPL investigation before looking at any other allegations? Thanks in advance
  4. I don't usually get involved in this sort of thing (all teams have vile "followers) but the thing that bothers me most about this is the media perception. If this was Rangers fans it would have a secterian/hyperbolic slant in the media but when it's Celtic fans it's usually given the "happy craicster" gloss over.
  5. The Record are a comical pamphlet of utter garbage. Their noses are so out of joint that they've been blindsided by the the whole Green consortium it's frankly hilarious. Using words like "shadowy" and "mysterious" to describe the consortium makes me chuckle. Just deal with it you fools, you don't have a clue
  6. I think we all have to accept a period of transition for a few years and that will probably mean losing certain high earning players. Their fees will help fund the rest of our rebuilding and TBH I have to disagree with Walter Smith with regards to a young team and relegation. I genuinely feel that we could still compete for 2nd/3rd with a young team in the SPL.
  7. It surely has to be used at some stage so now seems a good a time as any. With regards to debt owed to clubs, does the fee due to Hearts for Wallace get dragged into that pot? We have an agreement that the payments are staggered and the next payment is due in July. is that a conventional "debt" if there is a agreement in place?
  8. I've been a wee bit busy over the last few days and I've just managed to catch up with some of todays developments. Here's where I am so can anyone fill in the gaps or offer their tuppence worth?? In principal we apparently have new ownership of our club. The name heading the consortium is Charles Green, who seems to have recieved a mixed reaction from what I've read from fans and media alike. Other names that I've read that are said to be involved are Joe Lewis and Freddie Shepherd. Have any of these other names been confirmed? The interview with C. Green states that there are 20 parties involved in this consortium and no-one will have more than 15% of a stake. Does the amount of bodies (as well as the geographical spread of the group) worry anyone? When I read of Asian and Middle East involvment, first of all I have major reservations as I immediately think "why would these guys get involved with Rangers?" Everybody and their aunty knows there is zero cash in Scottish Football so what are their motives? Secondly, I also think of the mess at Portsmouth when I hear about foriegn investors with zero connection with the club Ultimately I genuinely take anything that happens with Rangers with a bucket of salt until we have a decent balance sheet and healthy and competitive squad. Green promised much during this interview but IMO we've been down this road before. To quote Johhny Nash, it's more questions than answers for this fan
  9. Tannochside. I admire your effort and you make some very good points but this Rangers fan has almost had enough therefore I can't even begin to enter a major discussion on the finer points of this shambles. I feel like hiding under my bed until August and then I might pop my head out to see if we still exist. Either way, the actions of a few wreckless men have brought my club to it's knees and whether we are in the SPL /3rd Division, an old co./new co., have owners that are looking to strip every last piece of silver/plan ahead with a new vision, I genuinely feel what has happened over the last few months will change my realtionship with my club and football in general. Things will just never be the same.
  10. Duff & bloody Phelps... I smell a big feeking rat
  11. Thanks for tidy up my previous post dude. I was only hearing bits and bobs. Cheers
  12. Like the cut of Kennedy's jib. Him and Souness would take no shit up here
  13. The reporter standing outside Ibrox stating that the SFA charges in their dossier against Whyte are almost regarded in the same manner as match fixing (or something along those lines) How can you compare the wreckless (off the field) financial actions of a rogue owner with match fixing (which has a direct impact on the pitch). I'm confused
  14. I thought the bidders all had Rangers connections? What would Green's be??
  15. I'm gonna head over to Phil McGobshiete's site to see if he has already posted about Green...
  16. I wish they would all just join together and pull resources??
  17. I do not believe one word that comes from orifices of D & F.
  18. Did Kennedy not come out and back Miller a few days back?? My heed is nippin!!!!
  19. According to Talk Sport? Has this been posted already? If it has, I apologize in advance
  20. With regards to crowds for away games etc., is there not a case for us to negotiate our own TV deal to enable us to make money on screening our away fixtures? Not surehow the SFL tv stuff works but to be honest, even talking about this is very depressing
  21. I was thinking about this last night as the guilty assumption seems to have been taken as gospel now (thanks to the Tims...) As far as I can see we have the following charges against us... 1. Tax case into the EBT's used between 2001-2010 (approx). Still no outcome? 2. SFA/SPL investigation into the said EBT's/double contracts. Again no verdict delivered 3. SPL/SFA investigation into Rangers activities since that snake Whyte took over (non-payment of PAYE, debtors etc.) Again this ongoing... Out of these, I'm presuming the 3rd charge is the one that seems most transparent but I fail to see how these equate to the claims of Sporting Integrity being challenged? Surely charge 3 is down to one man and his wreckless actions? I suppose if that means the club and ultimately the fans suffer then that is a tad unfair considering that the SFA should have done a better job at looking into Whyte in the first place All in all I keep hearing the word cheat but I haven't many people back it up.
  22. The only thing that bothers me the 3rd Division route is that...say we spend 3 years clawing our ways back through the leagues to get back to the top flight? What will find there when return? What will the SPL look like? Who'll be pulling the strings? Surely the same old problems/obstacles will be there we when we return?
  23. â??Both bids would be - I believe - popular with fans. They are known names in both football and in the Scottish community. There is certainly a more natural empathy with the club than Bill Miller had. There is a Rangers connection there" The only names I can think of of that stature are Sir Tom Hunter and Jim McColl
  24. Was in the car last night and stuck on Snyde 1 for the daily Celtic fans symposium for 10 mins and there was a guy on there suggesting that the press are currently sitting on a powderkeg story. The caller (a Tim I think?....) asked old Keevins if he knew what it was and seemed to great delight in this impending story coming out. I also heard guys in the pub at the weekend talking about a big story that was about to break? Is this more mischeif making coming from a Phil McGobshite "exclusive"?? I've also heard stories about Rangers/Darlington, Celtic leaving the SPL, Whyte being involved with Miller... Does anyone have any idea about what this story might be?? Any other rumours doing the rounds?
