  1. The more this goes on the more I'm thinking that a drop to the 3rd Division and a relatively clean slate wouldn't be all that bad. Either way a team called Rangers will still be playing at Ibrox and I will support them. Our history is ours and ours alone and is not for other people to challenge and the trophies, players, memories and goals will never dissapear IMO Rangers and Scottish football as a whole need to change and maybe liquidation might be the necassary evil to make that happen. The 3rd/2nd/1st division route will herald dark days for our great club but I genuinely feel that we could compete for 3 years with a young squad, which also means low costs. ie. If we can sustain revenue via large crowds and merchandise, we can operate a huge club on provincial club costs and at the same time we can blood young players with a purpose. (Surely we can also negotiate our own TV deal as we won't be part of the SPL?) I genuinley feel that Scottish football is at a major crossroads think that at the same time we are trying to make our way through the leagues, we can watch as the SPL teams scramble for the scaps and the league crumbles aboves us. Scottish football is a major crossroads
  2. Knighthoods are silly things IMO. Elton John's got one for goodness sakes
  3. Tiresome seems to be the best word to describe Neil Lennon. Even Davie Provan described his behaviour as both tedious and tiresome recently
  4. I must admit, an option like the BK's would have been my preferred option but by all accounts Ng is keen to get a British/Scottish based board together to run the ship if he gets control. Who's to say that some of the BK's won't be approached?
  5. I have to admit it that it is pleasing to see Wigan do well in the EPL at the moment. I've always liked Martinez and I like his overall footballing philosophy and it was even more pleasing to see them do well with 4 "Scottish" players. Caldwell, McCarthur, McCarthy (I know he has chosen Ireland...) and Maloney have all being doing well in a very competitive league and this maybe suggests that the days of a SPL/Scottish player doing well in England are not numbered?
  6. Just seen some of the pics from last night's Glasgow Cup final at Ibrox. Good to see some the self proclaimed GFITW showing their true colours at U-17 game... Total scumbags
  7. Just heard on Talk Sport that Kennedy is reconsidering his interest in the Gers after news of the BK's failed bid. Will keep you posted
  8. What's the bets some of them could end up as part of Ng's proposed Scottish/UK board?
  9. Remember that? Oh how we laughed. They have the worst case of selective amnesia of any fans on the planet
  10. I have to admit I would prefer a healthy BK style take over with Rangers guys at the helm but if Bill Ng gets his hands on Rangers hopefully he will be clever enough to hire Rangers/Scottish businessmen to run things? Has he not stated this in an interview??
  11. Agreed. The Whittaker one V Spain a few years back was also a shocker
  12. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/celtic/303564-celtic-v-hearts-the-debatable-decisions-and-the-rules/#stv_clicktracker_source=posts_also_read Saw this on the STV site and had to chuckle. Is this what our game has become? Must we feel the need to breakdown every decision that goes against THEM. Is the crazy culture they have created? Can someone tell me why... They didn't add Ki's diving to that list? They didn't scrutinize the 2 ridiculous decisions that went in Celtics favour a few weeks back against St. Johnstone? They didn't pour over this shocker from last season? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9161882.stm 4 mins 15 seconds in And so on and so on....
  13. On top of that, every Newspaper/report that I have read this morning lead with the idea that the pen was given for handball V Ledley depsite Lennon stating that the ref had told him it was for Wanyama's handball
  14. Maybe but it was still was a penalty. Wanyama clearly handles the balls. Hand to ball. Penalty. End of story
  15. Another big game blows up in Celtics face and yet again the refs are at the receiving end of a double barrelled volley of abuse from the volatile Mr Lennon. Was this justified? Mr Lennon seems adamant that the refs decisions were somehow "personal". Let's look closer at the two so called "contentious" decisions. First up, Hearts penalty. According to Lennon himself the ref stated that he gave the penalty because Victor Wanyama handled the ball. This was directly after the ball had been smashed against Joe Ledleys arm and unlike the Ledley situation, was clearly "hand to ball" as his hand moves towards the ball and makes contact with it. Correct decision. Second up, Celtics penalty claim. The ball is blasted against Websters torso and it is clearly shown on replays that it didn't hit his arm and indeed the Hearts defender moved his hand away from the contact point. Once again a correct decision by the much maligned ref. My advice to Lennon, Thompson, Ledley and co is find out first why the ref gave these decisions before making silly statements and instead of looking to blame the officials (again), shine a critical light on your misfiring players. Once you've done that you can then maybe take time to use the same energy on the worst decision of the game. An clear offside goal that nearly let your team off the hook...oh but wait.....
  16. Somehow I don't this little sheite is going to say "ok then..." He has shown that he has "balls" to take this thing this far so I can only see him digging his heels in TBH
  17. Our current predicament has got me thinking about our old situation and the previous debt that we carried. By all accounts our debt stood at around 18 million bucks before CW set foot in Ibrox therefore would it have not been better to take a hit on our playing squad for 2/3 seasons and flog our assets for the best prices possible? Surely McGregor, Jelavic, Davis, Naisy and to a lesser degree Edu, Lafferty could all have been sold for a decent amount in the summer and that could have a great strides into our old debt and thus encouraging the bank to a revise their pay back schedule? (It could have also went a long way to paying off most of other smaller debts) Surely the first 4 players on that list would have brought in about £15 million between them? Granted, this would have left our squad depleted for a fair while but IMO we could have still mounted a decent challenge in the SPL with a young team made up from guys like Wylde, Ness, McCabe, McMillan, Perry, Little etc. Some people would no doubt be mad at such a squad cull but surely given the circumstances of what is now lying ahead, it would have been a better option? Maybe I'm just looking at this from a very naive point of view but it would have led the club closer to a debt free scenerio before the tax situation was finalised? Even if we are hit with a the £49 million surely we could have then structured a 3/4 year pay back scheme based on the fact that our main overhead (wage bill) would have been slashed dramitically. I suppose what I'm getting at is that we could have run our "huge" club on a "provincial club" sized wage level until our debts were paid? We only play in the SPL after all. I also think if the club/management was up front with the policy of using young players for a while, the fans would have bought it. Maybe it's just hindsight but I feel they would have definately have bought it considering what has happened after Whyte got his hand on us.
  18. Agreed Juancornetto. One of the best "responses" I've heard from THEM is that the points penalty should be greater because the team that is 2nd (Rangers or Celtic) is always 20/25 pts ahead of 3rd and that is not fair... So 10 pts for everyone else and 25 pts for us... they just can't help themselves
  19. Sorry to be a spreader of doom and gloom but if some of the stuff coming from RM and FF is representitive of the current fan base, I fear unity will be hard to find. Jeso, some people were getting their knickers in a twist because some fans chose 2 colours from our heritage (Red & Black) to raise money for our club. Instead of supporting something positive about our clubs heritage, many were more interested in promoting orange and purple into the argument. I really do despair at some of my fellow Gers fans sometimes
  20. I would like to think we could do this to show them up to be honest but I feel like many other contributers on here, that times have indeed changed. Celtics incessant selective amnesia with regards to decisions and their conduct regarding refs in general have only shown their lack of any class and I feel they really don't deserve any applause at all I'm still waiting for Liewells dossier about the 2 shocking match altering decisions V St. Johnstone from the weekend...oh wait..... as one of the plums on Snyde 1 said the other night..."I wuz away doon the other side o the perk an coodnay see it..." How convienant...
  21. Is that noit just his normal face? He always looks like he's swallowed a fart at the same as having a wank
  22. Exactly. He always does this. Do your research man!!!
  23. Nice one Jauncornetto. I'll add that to the list and get back to may mate on that one. As for your other point, I'm afraid I'm gay matey.....
