  9. Sons of Struth 7 mins · Edited · Last night we met with John Gilligan and Paul Murray. Neither are strangers to us so the meeting didnt take long and they basically gave their personal thanks for the efforts made by SoS and those who have stood beside us throughout and reiterated the importance of fans voting at the EGM. Both are keen to interact with fans now and in the future. They believe that fans should have a part to play in the club going forward and I have no reason to think, should they get in power, they wouldnt be approachable going forward. They both looked and appeared positive about the outcome of the EGM however are keen that apathy doesnt set in and would urge ALL fan/shareholders to vote and consider voting by post as the EGM could actually be decided before the meeting takes place if enough votes are cast prior to deadline date of 2nd March. They have the full backing of SoS and we look forward to working with them again in the future.

  15. Close Previous Close Previous Gilligan: 'Got to get promoted 1st. That'll be a struggle. Next year will be tough. I'd expect to be competing at top level within 2 years' Gilligan: 'We're all Rangers supporters. If people are unhappy at us as the alternative to what's there, I don't know what to say.'
  16. Close Previous Close Murray: 'I think once club is back operating on normal basis, there will be people coming to us. I dont think funding going to be an issue' Gilligan on Robert Sarver: "[His bid] came out of left field but I think he was a genuine guy."
  17. Close Close Previous Gilligan: 'I don't mind what he said years ago. I'm sure we all said something we've changed our minds on. Focus on what he said last week.'
  18. Murray: 'There's a few contingency plans if we don't get venue.' Gilligan on EGM: 'Don't take anything for granted, get your vote in. We are very confident. If you don't need to be there, vote by proxy.'
  19. Q. What is the timescale for a new share issue Murray on future share issue: 'There is the issue of Easdale's 26% block, we would need 75% for a share issue.' Q how many more directors do you need above 3 and will you cap the salaries Murray: "However, we think if we get control at the EGM, that proxy [to Easdale] will disappear pretty quickly' Gilligan and Murray say they'd be looking at roughly seven board members once stability is achieved. Murray: 'I don't think there's any chance of the EGM happening in Glasgow. We're hoping to get a venue in the next 24 hours.'
  20. Q what are the objectives between now for the first 6 months Murray: 'We want to reach a point where the club isn't spending more than it brings in. We may need to overspend initially to get there'
  21. Murray: 'We want to find someone who can build the club over 10-15 years. A manager with real potential, a young Sir Alex Ferguson' Murray: 'It's not a question of getting rid of Ashley, he owns 9%. We're assuming the agreements are legal and we can't break them' Gilligan: 'Whole ethos of cub is wrong. We should be enjoying ourselves. Winning is critical. I'd rather win playing a way we don't like.'
  22. Gilligan on past four years: "I don't apologise for anyone else. I just hate them. I really do, I hate them for what they did to us."
