Scotland's Most Successful Club Written by Rangers Football Club RANGERS understands that the Advertising Standards Authority will later this month rule in favour of the club in its investigation into a recent advertising campaign. The ASA received 78 complaints regarding a series of adverts featuring the slogan "Scotland's most successful club". However the advertising watchdog have not upheld those complaints and will instead back a number of other high profile organisations in recognising the long and rich history which the club enjoys. Their ruling will follow similar recognition, from the game's governing bodies and a series of independent panels, of the club's long and continued success which has seen a haul of 115 major honours in a 141-year history. Director of communications James Traynor said: “The Club was never in any doubt that this would be the outcome. “It was a ridiculous claim and we knew the Advertising Standards Authority would take the same view as the football authorities, the European Club Association (ECA), Lord Nimmo Smith and the panel of the London Stock Exchange." http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/4100-scotlands-most-successful-club

The Summer 2013 Transfers and Rumours Thread
Steve1872 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
STV Sport@STVSport9mRangers signings can't play as trialists if league reconstruction approved http://bit.ly/18R4j6D Rangers will be unable to field any of their summer signings as trialists for as many as six games if league reconstruction plans are voted through on June 12. STV has obtained a copy of the proposed rules for the Scottish Professional Football League as already voted upon by SPL sides. The regulations forbid the use of unregistered players in any league match across all four divisions or in League Cup matches. Rangers have completed pre-contract agreements with Cammy Bell, Nicky Clark, Nicky Law, Arnold Peralta and Jon Daly and had hoped to field them on a rotational basis under current SFL rules, prior to their registration embargo being lifted on September 1. If league reconstruction fails to go through then current rules will apply. That means Ally McCoist will be able to field two trialists per game, with each player eligible to feature in a maximum of three fixtures. Should the vote pass, the club will only be able to play their future signings in the Challenge Cup, reserve games or in non-competitive matches. That means the players would have to sit out four league fixtures and at least one League Cup game, potentially two if Rangers advance to the second round. Rule 88 of the proposed rulebook states: "Trialists are not under any circumstances eligible to play for a club in a league match or League Cup match." The rulebook says trialists are eligible to play in "official matches" but goes on to say: "For the purposes of this rule, official matches do not include league matches or League Cup matches." Scottish Football League clubs will have their final say on the creation of the new SPFL on June 12. 22 from 29 clubs must vote in favour of the plans. With Scottish Premier League teams having already unanimously backed the proposal, a successful ballot will lead to the implementation of the SPFL rulebook in time for the 2013/14 season. The new SPFL rules have no restriction on the number of players aged over 21 in squads. Current SFL regulations forbid more than 22 being registered by a club at any given time. -

leggoland [h=2]Friday, 24 May 2013[/h] [h=3]KING ON THE BRINK OF BOARDROOM COMEBACK[/h] DAVE KING has taken a step closer to making a dramatic return to the Rangers boardroom. For I believe King has let it be known to a number of people that he would be willing to accept an invitation to rejoin Rangers and become a director once again. It is now a week since I first floated the idea that former director King should be proposed and seconded and taken back on to the Rangers board to strengthen the Bluenose presence in the Blue Room. King had already made it clear that he would like to buy up as many Rangers shares as he can and once again the news is that he is setting about achieving that aim. But it may take some time for King get his hands on the 25per cent to 28per cent shareholding he needs to give him effective control of Rangers. And Rangers do not have time. Which is why I floated the thought that the Ibrox board have the power to vote a new director on and that it would strengthen the position of the righteous if they used their power as soon as possible to make King that director. Rangers need a strong presence in the boardroom right now, to provide Walter Smith with the sort of help he needs to ensure the club does not lurch into further trouble by having too many of the wrong sort of people bulldozed into the boardroom by Imran Ahmad and Charles Green. And right at the top of that list of the wrong sort of people in control is cut, burn and slash cost-cutter, London businessman, Chris Morgan. He must be stopped at all costs. Ahmad has already claimed he was trying to contact Dave King. The shamed, discredited and sacked Ahmad, whose 2.2million shares, bought in the Penny Arcade, give him a 3.38per cent stake in Rangers, has also promised he will help facilitate King in buying up shares. The question to be asked is simple. If that is the case, why doesn’t Ahmad start the ball rolling by selling his 3.38per cent to Dave King? Now! I believe Imran Ahmad has been unnerved by the backlash which has been unleashed following his release of a recorded telephone conversation with chairman Malcolm Murray, his release of a video of Murray and a threat to sneak out an illegal recording of the Rangers board meeting which was held on Monday April 15th. In fact, I have solid proof that Ahmad has been in touch with his fancy London lawyers, Burlingtons of Hertford Street in the heart of expensive Mayfair, where that law firm’s head of litigation, Richard Curtin is acting for him. It looks very much as though much of the unfavourable coverage which has hammered away at Ahmad over the past week has spooked the public school educated Englishman with the cut glass accent. For the moment, though, the good news for Rangers supporters is that Dave King, a man with a proven track record of being financially committed to Rangers to the tune of a cool £20M, has indicated that he would jump at the chance to gatecrash the Blue Room again.

this from FF Here is the email that was sent with the recording. This VR is why MM has a personal vendetta and is not objective re CG and IA. The £1m spent on Pinsents could have been spent more wisely by spending £500k with Allen and Overy to shut CW up forever. Much more to come. CG/IA delivered £35m to Rangers and everyone makes them villains when proven liar CW comes out with a pack of lies. It will take a few months but the truth should hopefully come out. Just need Malcolm' s personal Witch Hunt/Vendetta ahem "Independent Commission" complete and lawyers will sort CW (lawyers don't want to start case just in case anything out of MM personal witch hunt contradicts case against CW) out once and for all.... Whole Rangers board is grossly negligent carrying on with a Witch Hunt which can never be conclusive. The only way to know whether CW is involved or not is to take him to a real court and shut him up forever. MM and WS have made a big mistake. They have set up a firing squad independent commission when they were planning on firing CG and IA whatever the outcome (have VR of board meeting on 15/4 discussing sacking IA/CG whatever happens to prove this but will release this after commission is finished). They're now stuck with an internal investigation which can only harm the club if it comes up with an inconclusive decision as it will give the CW conspiracy theorists a field day if they do not come up with a definitive yes or no. Rangers NEDs will all be voted out at EGM for gross negligence as petitioners have the right to amend and add resolutions which they will of course do. FPTP as usual
