Nobody is obliged I know that fine well but when the sole motive is to prevent the club getting up front money rather than personal circumstance then you open yourself for criticism. I think it's been made quite clear no engagement is considered good enough. Do you agree with the first paragraph?
-
I don't deny it, but this situation has created bitterness and resentment between fans that may never be repaired.

I'm sure we'd all rather save up other capital sources no?

Should they take me on if I offer to work for nothing? You need more reasons than that to be a good alternative

Game by game is unstable income that no plans can be made with, sometimes we don't have a home game for about a month the way fixtures work out, we have no home games from now until late July at the very earliest. It cannot mitigate people getting bored and out the habit, or if not they could end up in a hospital bed for weeks. With the football McCoist serves up i'm tempted to pick and choose next season but the club will at least have my money regardless. As for TBO I hope the club stop them getting seats together, their attempts at atmosphere aren't even that good.

Being grateful doesn't blind you, although i'm too young to really remember 9 in a row Murray's regime still gave me some of my earliest and best Rangers memories. It never had me convinced about him as a custodian and to this day I still blame him for how things ultimately have turned out. I respected a few things about Green probably not many agree now, but he's gone other people just seem to be obsessed with bringing him up all the time.
-
That seems a very cynical way of remembering it
-
Part time is part time, while we've paid millions to top flight full time players and even a fair few internationalists. I know you like to defend Ally but it's ridiculous to talk as if we've actually faced any decent challenge these last two years.
-
Everyone else either withdrew or couldn't/wouldn't put up an unconditional offer that the admins could accept, Green didn't have to exactly fight his way in past a load of competitors.
-
I can just as easily point out that there's those who have continued to back McCoist only for him to lead us to further cup embarrassment last month. Ultimately it's best to debate the situation as it is now however rather than making a big analysis of our track records
-
We had no league to play in when the start of the season was less than a month away i'd say we were pretty close. Best not start this debate again however.
-
It's an interesting analogy but ultimately like most others i'm an outsider i'm not privy to the going ons of the boardroom, I didn't decide to bring in Whyte or Green or Tom Dick and Harry. Your doctor on the other hand was analysing your body and system as an expert.
-
I saw Green coming fine, as the only guy who actually stepped up to buy us when we were on the brink of extinction. Fair enough if you saw right through Whyte but not very many did. My opinion is my opinion take it as seriously as you want. Although a guy on RM who was one of the first to call out Whyte is also pretty defensive of the current board. So that should tell you that's it's not all one big correlation.
-
McCoist didn't have to as there was no doubt about getting out of leagues of butchers and joiners
-
The guys i've sat with for years are renewing, the guys I go to away games with seem to largely be renewing, and I know at least one guy who is going to buy one when they become available.

I've admitted that Green has to take his share of the blame for the money we've spent, I also believe the positives especially buying the club in the first place are still valid and i've not changed my mind. Wallace has to focus on here and now, and he clearly inherited a poor situation.

I was fairly neutral on Whyte to be honest

Just a pity Paul decided he needed a 'CVA or nothing'

RM is a forum where a variety of opinions are expressed I don't quite get the need to group it all together
-
The consortium put money in to buy us in the first place

You've lost me there
