How could clubs in 2nd, 3rd & 4th places in the championship, league 1& league 2 vote for this SPFL proposal ? They’d effectively be voting against getting promotions Also clubs at the bottom of divisions like Hearts & Partick Thistle who could still easily avoid relegation ? -

I think that was fairly obvious. Wouldn’t be surprised either if liewell wrote his script for him. These people are everywhere throughout Scottish football pretending to be non-partisan. -

Has ‘sporting integrity’ now been superseded by ‘sporting merit’ ? ?? Wonder which team McGlennan supports? Shouldn’t be too hard to guess I wouldn’t think. Getting worried now arent they? This season has no chance of restarting & completing b4 end of May when players contracts end. -
Chris Sutton; the HolliCON striker who shoots and misses
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Part of the yahoos PR machine is to get useful idiots like Sutton to go around making comments about others. Sutton is a useless, inconsistent pundit as his comments above Liverpool not getting the EPL title but the yahoos should get the SPFL title proves. Hartson is another with his nonsense about the respect Rangers would get if they conceded the title. When David Graham starts his new job he’s got a busy IN tray.... -
Rangers were drifting & go nowhere until King & T3B arrived. We’d a board with no real Rangers background & no ambition, a manager on gardening leave & a head coach in charge of first team affairs who didn’t want to be there. We have almost returned to where we were before 2012 but it did take a couple of failed managerial appointments. Warburton’s appointment I could sympathise with but it did look as if Rangers were too big a club for him. His signings in summer 2016 were horrendous. And Pedro was a risk we shouldn’t have taken. Steven Gerrard has done well in his first managerial role but still needs that first trophy. His European results have been fantastic. Dave King’s time as Rangers chairman will be fondly remembered for returning Rangers back to where we belong. And I’m sure Douglas Park will do just as well and take us to that magical 55 we all want so badly

The country is now in lockdown but are there still those in Scottish football who think this season will be completed? -

There’s a growing realisation that the leagues will not be completed before the end of May after which many soon to be out-of-contract players will have left their clubs. -

Unless the league games can be completed(which now looks extremely doubtful) then I cannot see any alternative to null & void. -

Unless the season can be completed within a reasonable timescale it will need to be declared null & void. I’d suggest the end of May would be the time by which the season would need to be completed because players will be ending their contracts & being released. I read today that La Liga have stated Barcelona will not be given the title despite being top of the league if the games don’t restart. -

No idea. But would you pay for something you never got? As I said, SKY/BT are not charities. They are commercial businesses. -

Football is a commercial business. It relies on sponsors & investors. The days are long gone when it survived on supporters paying at the gate or ST’s. TV money is where football gets the bulk of its income SKY/TV are not charities. do you think SKY/BT will continue to pay for matches which have been postponed? My view is that football will need to consider seriously playing televised games in empty stadiums. -

I wonder when the tv companies(SKY, BT etc) will come calling looking for recompense for live games not played. Couldnt games be played behind closed doors ? All players, coaches, officials etc would be screened beforehand. TV companies (SKY, BT etc) will soon start to lose money when people start cancelling subscriptions. Can’t see them putting up with this for too long. -

Football season 'could be declared "null and void"
RANGERRAB replied to JFK-1's topic in General Football Chat
How can this season resume in August? Players whose contracts finish at the end of this season will have left their clubs by then. Smaller clubs which have large turnovers of players might not be able to complete their fixtures due to not having sufficient players. And would clubs new signings be able to play for their new clubs to finish the old season? A farce awaits... -
All Rangers domestic fixtures likely to be postponed from this Monday

How can you play at a later date? If past the end of season players could have left clubs. And would new signings be able to play in a league season for a club they weren’t registered with? -

RANGERRAB replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Going to be hilarious if the season gets declared null & void and the yahoos don’t get the title. Our board must stand firm & oppose any extension to the season. Just like Liewell did to us in 2008. -
