  1. I think you always need to remember the absolute train wreck MW and DW inherited from McCoist 18 months ago but his signings last summer simply haven't been good enough. That and their blind faith in the likes of Kenny Miller(just 6 league goals) is something that will cost him sooner or later unless he changes. Whether we like it or not we were never winning the title this season but I genuinely believe our progress has stalled and questions need to be asked how we get it going again. I'm still utterly shocked at tonight's result. I don't think any of us ever saw that coming but we can only hope we get top three and a EL spot and maybe hope for the best in the SC. But without wholesale changes in the summer we will not challenge for the title next season.
  2. At the start of the season we needed three top priority signings -a quality CB, a defensive MF player to replace Halliday in that role and a goal scorer with a proven record & a physical presence to play the system we play. We got none of them
  3. Without seeing him play I cannot say. He was another last minute panic signing before the transfer window shut
  4. To be fair he hasn't been given a chance has he? Watching Kiernan at the first goal tonight he must wonder why Senderos was always going to need a run of games. He never got that
  5. Does he know how to resolve this ? I certainly hope so Certain players have been making mistakes all season. What happened tonight was they didn't get away with it. Hearts first two goals were embarrassing
  6. He shouldn't have signed Garner. His lack of goals prove that
  7. But we make too many basic mistakes as was shown at their first two goals tonight
  8. It was a panic signing as the transfer window was about to shut.
  9. We simply collapsed after their second goal tonight. That's what's most worrying of all
  10. Absolutely not. These are players who are well past their best. We've been there this season with Barton & Senderos
  11. He has under estimated the top division IMO.
  12. He'll get to the end of the season. I'm sure of that. I started to wonder about him when players were getting new contracts before we were even in the top division. Did he under-rate Scottish football ? Like PLG did
  13. Nothing against Halliday but I'm genuinely shocked to still see him playing in defensive MF.
  14. That said 3 out of the 4 hearts goals were appalling errors. No team wins games if you don't do the basics right. And I'm sorry to disappoint the Kenny Miller fan club but we need someone with a strong physical presence up front. He was non existent tonight.
  15. Until we cut out stupid mistakes & get better players up front we will continue to struggle.
  16. Al in all I'm reasonably pleased with our transfer business this month. We needed reinforcements in MF due to injuries & Barton leaving. Both look decent & should play their part for the rest of the season. We got in a GK because presumably Gilks wanted first team football We're in reasonably good shape to get a EL spot but we really must look at up front for the future. We need more goals. We've only once scored more than 2 in a league game this season.Kenny Miller is now 37 and has 6 league goals & 2 SC goals to his name this season. Nothing much to get excited about I wouldn't have thought which is why we must move players out in the summer & bring a striker above all else who can get 20-25 goals. Do that & we'll be challenging for the title
  17. We were something 267th in the UEFA seedings last I looked
  18. Yes welcome to Rangers Jak. Presumably 'the source' was misinformed who advised the Daily Rhecord that the transfer payment terms were unacceptable to Port Vale
  19. Regards signing the port vale keeper, looks to me that the Rangers board want players moved out before bringing others in
  20. Let's be honest here. Kenny Miller is very lucky not have a multiple fracture.Perhaps career-ending. Anyone who's played football will know MCDonald ' followed through' and knew exactly what he was doing
  21. Kiernan's tackle was never a red card. Collum got it right. Yellow.
  22. Pleased to win in the end. Second half was excellent at times. Hyndmann sperb. Both reds correct IMO but surprised to see MOH start. Thought he looked off the pace last week Onwards to Tynecastle. A win there on Wednesday will lay down a marker
  23. Windass needs to establish himself in the Rangers team before even thinking about a move to the EPL. Unfortunately for him that's going to get harder to do as better quality players arrive
  24. Never heard of the lad but good luck to him anyway
  25. Daly is desperately trying to dig up some dirt on this concerning Rangers to try to divert attention away from his own vile club who have the biggest problem of all on this issue
