  1. Edmiston House is an eyesore & should be pulled down & replaced with a new building for the ticket office. At least this banner goes some way to covering up Edmiston House
  2. Yes we can qualify for the EL next season but only if we win the SC (the SC runners-up no longer get in the EL). Had 'project McCoist' not bombed & we'd got into the SPFL premiership last summer as planned we'd have been going for a European spot via our league position this season
  3. It is, of course, OF week. So don't be surprised to see a few more negative rumours about Rangers before Sunday courtesy of the mhedia & their various lackeys
  4. His teams played the way they did because he had absolutely no idea about organisation, tactics, gameplans etc. It was all a jolly earning a ridiculous salary in the process until he got found out.
  5. Or losing at home to Peterhead
  6. What's important is that we start the game well & don't allow them to get on top early on. Last year in the LC semi we didnt do that & never got going
  7. We should be far too strong for Peterhead today. I expect us to win by a few goals.
  8. Unfortunately I think the more successful MW is at Rangers the sooner he'll be tempted back down south. That is why the board must plan ahead & identify successors even at this early stage. I'm not sure DW would be the obvious shoe-in either as he's no real record in management. I'd fear a McCoist II - the sequel.
  9. Today is the start of us saying our goodbyes to the likes of Peterhead as we move back to the top division. We should just try to enjoy this afternoon as we should finally get our hands on a trophy McCoist failed three times to get !!!
  10. The new board have done well so far. The stadium is almost full for every home game & that in itself tells its own story. Next season will be the big test for us however. A lot of decisions on & off the park need to be taken and it's imperative we make the right decisions. Simply making up the numbers in the Premiership next season is not acceptable. The yahoos have been in decline year on year since we left. They are not formidable opposition by any means and we should be challenging for the title next season.
  11. He mis-managed us . You can say that again. We were awful to watch with little or no evidence of tactics or preparation for games .He got away with it in the bottom two part time divisions but got found out in the fulltime Championship. Not only that he took advantage of the situation at Rangers at the time. The old board were saving their own skins & weren't going to rid off him. He knew that and went on far too long and by the time he resigned we were miles off the top spot in the Championship to get automatic promotion. We then had to try to get promotion via playoffs and that was difficult if not impossible for McCall with the squad McCoist had left behind. And to finally rub salt into the wounds Rangers had to continue pay him a years salary from the exorbitant contract he had and he,allegedly, wouldnt agree to a settlement with King. I'd never say never to McCoist returning to watch Rangers at ibrox but at the moment I'd suggest he stays away
  12. Let's all give Dundee Hibernian a wave as we pass them on the way up as they go on the way down.
  13. The meticulous planning is there for all to see. I just wonder how the yahoos will react. Will they keep Ronny the Viking or look elsewhere? At long last Rangers look like we are going places run by the right people on and off the park. From a football perspective It is really is such a pity we had to waste three and a half years under the McCoist fiasco. Belatedly we now resemble a 21st century team on the park and will improve further next season I'm sure
  14. Don't you mean Peter McGuire?
  15. And which yahoo supporter amongst the mhedia pondlife wrote that ian?
  16. I still find it difficult to believe they've got a wage bill of £24m. Since we got chucked out the then SPL they've been constantly selling off their best players and replacing them with cheaper replacements no doubt on much less wages. I say again that our first team squad will be smaller than previous years hence its wage bill will be smaller than previous. Won't that be taken into account regards ST renewal prices?
  17. I'm in SJ rear and this season I think I paid just under £500 for myself & about £100 for my 14 year old son. I think the advantage of the SJ stand is that my son gets a reduced price ticket up to 18 whereas in the Copland & Broomloan he only gets that up to 16.
  18. He wasn't needed. Why did you's sign him?
  19. Maybe this will be the start of Desmond's financial past. Hope the IFSC will be next
  20. We all want to see Rangers attract the best possible players and to do that we all realise funds need to be raised via ST's but I think we will soon become accustomed to Rangers operating with a much smaller first team squad than in years gone by. MW has gone on record I believe as saying he wants a first team squad of around 20 and no more than 25.That will certainly mean a much reduced wage bill compared to previous years.
  21. I think 10 percent would be too much IMO
  22. Not long after he'd left Rangers and gone to Liverpool, Souness gave an interview in which he talked about Rangers & his time in Scottish football as Rangers manager. He made the point that he felt there were many people in Scottish football who simply didn't want to see Rangers doing well. At the time I never gave it much thought but perhaps today a lot of us can understand better what he was on about. Maybe the next generation of mhedia pondlife we now have is much worse than Souness had but their aims & motives seem to remain the same don't they?
  23. can you maybe elaborate for a numpty like me?
  24. Strange how after selling Rangers to Whyte in May2011 LBG continued to fund MIH.
