We had a poor pre season last year and failed to win games against Newcastle, Hoffenhein and Olympiakos. This year we’ve so far failed to win against Liege, Ajax and Man utd Whereas I don’t think preseason games results mean a lot I do think a bad pre season may be an indicator of what’s to come unless action is taken

Difficult to see how any of the signings improve us in any way.

A difficult tie against a decent Dinamo Kyiv side lies in wait for us by the looks of things.

There have been a few names mentioned regards a buyout. Not heard of the Israeli though. Anyone buying Rangers would negotiate as low a fee as possible for shares. The current board lurch from one crisis to another. They’ve hardly left the club in a good state for one reason or another.

How long did it take Keef to come up with that one? 😂 seriously though we need to lose one or two forwards before we bring in another

Yes that’s a fair assessment of both but they need replaced

Tavernier & Goldson leaving is one thing, replacing them another. Sterling may be Tav’s replacement but can he stay injury free? If not who plays RB? Goldson going leaves us short of CB’s in my opinion. We’ve only got injury prone Souttar, Davies who’s being linked with EFL championship clubs & could also leave and 36 year old Balogun

Sometimes this sort of thing gets done to test reactions before anything further happens

Spending money on the wrong type of players. Clement has easily identified this

The Warburton, Pedro & Beale appointments were all wrong for one reason or another

I suspect he does know his starting eleven but wants to improve it in certain areas but can’t do so because we can’t rid off some players to bring others in

Boyd’s comments about the yahoos were interesting. If they’ve so much money why aren’t they spending it. Signing scmeichel instead of buying kelleher from Liverpool?

If Tav does go we’ll need another RB. Any thoughts?

Presume Adam Devine not seen as Tav’s replacement then ( assuming Tav goes to trabzonspor which I doubt)

I’m told we’ve still no interest in Shankland but I wonder if that might change as he enters the final year of his contract at hertz

Sima’s going into the last season of his Brighton contract. If he’s not signing a new one with them they’ll want to sell him

If (and it’s a big ‘if’) we move on Lammers, Hagi & Dessers don’t we need to replace them ? And I’d forget about moving Goldson on somewhere. No way he’d get his £38k per week elsewhere

So move him on( if we can) & replace him with whom? Someone who can get the same numbers as Dessers last season. Won’t be easy with the money we’ve alleged got to spend

Why Dessers? I felt he silenced a few critics towards the end of last season but if we’re bringing in someone better….

I think it’s more saving on salaries than transfer fees for those players

Tavernier & Goldson are past their best now. It was madness to give them both 4 year contracts a couple of years ago. Butland’s form towards the end of last season was a worry.

As experienced businessmen I’d suggest some of their past decision-making for the club has been questionable but also the club having about half a dozen ‘major ’ shareholders doesn’t help. However if we could improve the football side that would help enormously. PC seems to me to have a different view on how we should be approaching recruitment. We’ll need to see how that works out
