I agree. Get wired in at the start but be ready to keep it up. How often have we seen a Rangers side do that and then, either score after twelve minutes and relax or fail to score in twenty and get dis-spirited?

If the player performs on the pitch, should wages not be left out of the equation? Difficult to express a player’s productivity in monetary terms.

I wouldn’t read Elfideldo’s reports. He tells what happened on the pitch, describes scoring moves in detail and assesses players’ performances. Nothing about the players’ favourite group or what cars they drive or where they’re going for their holidays with their girl friends. That’s real football reporting. None of the boring left-footed-shot-from-the-edge-of-the-box stuff.

I only saw from minute 87 to the end minute 96. The team looked really good in that short time. Lovelace whom I wrote off last week performed a Puskas-like bit of skill to provide the opening for the equaliser which Weston smashed home like Jim Forrest. Could easily have scored two more with a bit of luck. Rice scored a Hubbard-esque opening penalty. The opposition’s first attempt was laughable. Sadly some of Rangers’ further efforts were as bad.

Small guy but doesn’t get pushed around, scored and set up another with a superb gather and pass. Good enough for Rangers?
