I agree. Get wired in at the start but be ready to keep it up. How often have we seen a Rangers side do that and then, either score after twelve minutes and relax or fail to score in twenty and get dis-spirited? -

If the player performs on the pitch, should wages not be left out of the equation? Difficult to express a player’s productivity in monetary terms. -

Scratch that. He’s twenty, twenty-one in October. Too old. -

Sign him. First team material soon enough. Plenty of energy and knows what to do with a football. Not a big bloke but doesn’t get pushed around. He might not make it in which case sell him to Hearts or Aberdeen or better still, OPR or similar. -
I wouldn’t read Elfideldo’s reports. He tells what happened on the pitch, describes scoring moves in detail and assesses players’ performances. Nothing about the players’ favourite group or what cars they drive or where they’re going for their holidays with their girl friends. That’s real football reporting. None of the boring left-footed-shot-from-the-edge-of-the-box stuff.

Lucky man. Stay the weekend and take a Sunday morning river cruise. -
I only saw from minute 87 to the end minute 96. The team looked really good in that short time. Lovelace whom I wrote off last week performed a Puskas-like bit of skill to provide the opening for the equaliser which Weston smashed home like Jim Forrest. Could easily have scored two more with a bit of luck. Rice scored a Hubbard-esque opening penalty. The opposition’s first attempt was laughable. Sadly some of Rangers’ further efforts were as bad.

Lose on penalties. Some shocking attempts.

On the basis of ninety minutes against the Spiders, I’d sign Cameron from Dundee. -

Some Yankee dollar will help. -
Let us hope you’re right. Bit hard on Leeds, maybe, but I prefer Forest.

What is it with Scottish football programmes? Why are the participants all greetin’ faced troglodytes? -
Soaring up to sixteenth in the league you could say that Everton are now the top club in the relegation cohort. So’ton are pretty much gone and Forest and Leeds must be favourites to join them in the plunge. Everton can’t relax, though

I hope so. He’s never let the team down. There were opportunities this season, unfortunately not taken, to find out more about him. I’ve said it before, he keeps goal like a young Billy Ritchie. No giant, nothing flashy but he gets the ball. He’s played against celtic before. He should play again next week and that will inform more about his ability. -
Two-nil to the Arsenal. Twice threw away a two-goal lead and couldn’t beat the bottom club. Might-have-beens.

I’ll rush to judge Lovelace on the basis of seeing him once in the Youth Cup Final. Slow and didn’t make use of his physique. He will not make it. (His red card was a referee’s mistake) -
Perhaps they could share with Thistle. Like PhDs mixing with undergrads in the uni common room.

You have to go with the times. It’s not like this any more. Polished, groomed, shirted and suited with clear diction. Fossils (Takes one to know one, of course)
-
Rangers are too hard-up to take risks so it’s nay.

Mostly good and John Valentine.

Bowler hats in the stand. My old father was a Spiders fan. Luckily that was one example I didn’t follow.

Ochilview. QP guesting there. Where do OP fans come from? In old times they were genteel southside burghers. The few hundred there last night looked and sounded a bit posh.

Dundee come up as champions. Exciting match, some cracking goals but not a lot of great football. Cameron of Dundee looks good. Small guy but doesn’t get pushed around, scored and set up another with a superb gather and pass. Good enough for Rangers? Put it this way, I wouldn’t want him playing for Aberdeen or Hearts or even them.
