to put it simply the Hebdo cartoons were offensive towards islam but the issue was whether they had the right to do it.. anyone who liked the hebdo cartoons whether privately or by retweeting or sharing facebook pics etc etc are no different to Chris. any other conclusion just doesn't make sense.

Certainly seems to be all out war on the new regime's association with high profile fans. Big test of Paul Murray's mettle ahead.
Some criticism of CG may be fair but it comes from hypocrites & mischief-makers so has minimal merit. Club reaction should be low-key.
I hope they do let it ride out. Take the Guidetti Hun song story last week. It's died a death, but having said that I think they will keep the pot boiling longer on any rangers misfortunes..

With this mornings DR headline about the Neil Lennon bomber guy, basically any bad news for Rangers is good news for these bastards. Shows up Paul murray attempts to toadie up to them as futile as they WILL fuck us over at any opportunity. Message to the Board. The fans don't want any cooperation or favour shown to DR and BBC etc. With Internet who needs them anyway? ?

It's always a gamble appointing a manager. Just ask Manchester United. A good manager at one club doesn't always become a good manager at another club. Nevertheless, any club with serious ambition should always be on the lookout for the best candidate.
I do not believe Rangers has done that. It has apparently approached Smith, who turned the job down( I've heard it suggested that he would have taken the job on a full-time basis but I have no idea if this is true), and then picked out McCall who has now accepted. Other rumours suggest that Gough and Davies were spoken to, but this is just speculation.
Stuart McCall has always been popular with Rangers fans. He is approachable and played the game in a way that our support likes - by giving everything. No Rangers fan will want him to fail and I wish him well.
My concern is the new board. If it opted for Walter Smith, that was its first mistake. If it spoke to Davies, Gough and McCall and no-one else, that was its second gaffe.
The wind of change has blown the the club and left the jobs for the boys mentality rooted within it. Did the new board not prepare for this moment? Did it not look further afield at other options? Did it only look as far as those who were close by - just like the Rangers board when we needed a new CEO and Craig Mather got the job.
I hope this works out for Stuart McCall, but if the board has been as limited in its managerial search as it appears to have been, this move deserves to fail.
correct me if im wrong but isn't this a short term gig...

to him? weeks ago.
i am a friend of a friend.
actually when I read that again it makes my blood boil that the useless (fill in the blank) has been on an exit strategy for 6 weeks and still took the coin for ruining us even further. I wish him nothing he has been a complete fraud.

Personally absolutely delighted that John Bennett has been appointed to the Board of Rangers.
Not fussed either way re Chris Graham.
Brahim if I were a former client of yours I'd be disconcerted to think that your concern for the welfare of their investments ceased when the commissions dried up.
For those of you not around at the time here's some links to the original John Bennett threads when we were in our darkest hours and need of serious investment......
Not many coming out of that sorry episode with their heads held high.

should be used to pay off Ally as he has been the Rangers Youth biggest enemy in years... absolutely brilliant that Colin stood up to Lambias etc and not hand this cash over earlier..

they are also a substantial shareholder.
would be helpful for all concerned if they ratified if he is onboard as a fan rep or major shareholder. if fan rep his life is ruined lol... (a million requests from every fan board..)

Interesting to see how divided people are on this. Didn't take much did it?
Other than cg I have no idea who the other dudes are but it seems they have some history... Whilst to be convinced that murray can effectively lead this ship now he has control I do trust that any money I spend on watching Rangers is not being "stolen". If they get the team sorted out and by that I mean the right structure not chucking a few million at some has been manager, then I will spend again... All this other stuff is just playing games and rewarding allies etc and is of no interest to me.

I see today that calamity Kenny wants walter back with ally to team up again. aawww don't you just love him bless....

They have been in the door 5 minutes jeezo ............
read dave kings statements JTP.. that does appear to be his line..
0 -
But would you bet against it?
It would be a cost effective solution for KingCo and since they appear to have given up on promotion they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
for me it would signal a return to the lets stick with what we know line, a concern I have with Paul Murray. A new start needs to start with the correct messages being sent out. this would reek of poor old ally had it tough blah blah just like Walter was saying the other day..

Murray has to deal with this story fucking pronto. either back it up and be honest that's their intention or publicly tell Mcdowell to keep his mouth shut about managerial appointments at Ibrox.....

here's one from leftfield. I think the guy is a bit of a tool but could he do a short term job to try and keep us up and would do it for relatively low cost and would accept it short term as he has Rangers wellbeing at heart? . John Brown.

I would take Smith till the end of the season.
A new Manager/ Coach for the long term should be done with a lot of thought and discussion.
what a lack of imagination and ideas that would be from our new board.. dear god no...

in the summer he declared that this was finally his squad and he was satisfied with it for the challenges ahead (not a direct quote SteveC).

you only have to look at the numpty in the dugout for the root of these problems. if he doesn't rate vukic he could have sidelined him yesterday as there is no longer any threat from Lambias etc...
0 -
It's actually 2 wins a draw and a defeat to Celtc before vukich arrives and 2 draws a win and 2 defeats after.
That's the real story.
whilst not always agreeing with your views I sure as heck respect you. this Vukic thing is just to far..

If it's warburton and weir i'm in. That would excite me

you could say the record only reported the news , they never made it .
a more accurate description might be that they report the news they choose to in the manner they choose to.

I don't ever read the Record so I don't care about it. Those who are upset should contemplate the following question:
Who gets furthest in politics, those who compromise or those who refuse to?
Mm not sure I like the politician analogy. One thing I've learned is that politicians are all lying bar stewards on the take with only a few exceptions. .... I want better for our club.....

the day all these muslim leaders unequivocally condemn all atrocities against humanity in any form in the name of Islam then I will respect their wishes. as this is unlikely they can fucking do one...
