  1. Time for PC to go!, we are not improving, his subs are baffling!, why did we remain with 4 at the back?, our most expensive signing can't even get a game, I have given up on him.

The board won't sack him now and I don't think they should. However we have to see improvement soon - in results and our play.

  2. It's not that difficult to succeed in Scotland. With our present resources we should easily be a comfortable second. We need a good scouting system and good coaching to catch up on Celtic, something we do not have. We also need an exceptional manager to bring out the best in what we have. Whether Pedro is the answer, time will tell.

  3. Worrying points are that the Motherwell team that we struggled against last week got pumped 4-1 by St Johnstone. While we can say the Referee changed the game the fact is that Hibs were starting to get the better of us before the sending off.

Cardoso and Alves coulden't get near Murray. He ran them ragged.

Motherwell did end up with only 8 players.

  4. Each game is different though. Hibs got a lucky break with their 2nd and the way they played suited them, with us being down to 10 and we also had to open up ... and they exploited the spaces.

dB your positivity always amazes me. My point is after the sending off we should have changed our style of play and set up ourselves to defend, in the short term at least.

  5. apparently the original meaning of schadenfraude was not get it up you

it was a grim satisfaction....lt was I told you this would happen but you didn't listen......so not rejoicing at all at the defeat of those sheep bastards

I take schadenfreude as taking pleasure in the misery of others, i.e. Aberdeen.

  6. Former Italy striker Fabrizio Ravanelli has applied to be Hearts' new head coach, but interim boss Jon Daly thinks he is ready for the job permanently. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40815164

Isn't Ravanelli the money grabbing bugger who signed for Middlesborough I think then complained that his huge wage wasn't tax free? He ended up at Dundee, his wage there causing them to go into administration.

  7. One might point out that Jack has played French and English top tier and decent enough English Championhsip opposition thus far and came out with flying colours ...

FFS we lost to a team from Luxembourg and didn't even make it to a tie against a Cypriot team. However I share the schadenfreude of Aberdeen's exit :)

  8. Great article. How old is Naismith?

Prior to the Progres debacle I would have said No, mainly because I doubted he was still any good (eg. he's not had any Scotland caps for a few seasons). However I was kidding myself on. He simply can't be any worse than Waghorn, Morelos and Herrera, and Kenny Miller is obviously finished. We desperately need a cutting edge up front or we'll struggle to finish in the top 4 imo, so we simply must get him & Walker from Hearts in. Whatever the cost!

Also the line about 'there has been no clarity over what Charles Green did with the money' deserves some kind of award as understatement of the year!

If Herrera and Morelos turn out as bad as Waghorn we are in trouble and so is Pedro.

  9. The never-ending optimism on Rangers forums for bad things not happening to us and bad things about to happen to Celtic is a psychological miracle given the last decade.

Always look on the bright side of life :)

  10. How big a gamble would it be to dismiss the coaches now, and bring in new staff (who, as a matter of interest, and how much would it cost?) to coach an almost completely new playing group, assembled quickly, specifically to fit the 'philosophy', for want of a better word, training methods, tactics, and formations of the original coaching group?

I think that you underestimate the extent of change that the Club is undergoing: a completely new coaching/management structure, and a large turnover of players.

It does seem clear to me that the Club has to pass through this reformation, before judicious changes may be made.

We are stuck with Pedro for the short term at least. Hopefully he does turn out to be a fine manager. It's not too difficult to succeed in Scotland.
