  1. With Jack and Arfield being out at the moment we seem lacking some industry and bite in midfield. I think Aribo is a skilful player but is perhaps not the best combination with Kamara. I would like to see Aribo play in a more forward role where can do some damage with his skill. It's early yet to see where Zungu fits in and I would say he is still adjusting from the more sedate French football he is used to the more rough and tumble of the SPL. Because of that he seems to dwell on the ball too long and thereby is caught in possession. It is to be hoped that as he gains more familiarity with the SPL he will adjust how he plays. The interviews with McGregor and Balogun were quite insightful, with McGregor more or less agreeing that the team has not been at its fluid best in the last few games and they have to improve. Balogun highlighted that other teams are learning how to play Rangers and this is making it more difficult. I think especially that teams are adapting to nullify Tav and Borna and I think we saw in today's game that Celtic pressed high up the pitch making it difficult for the back four and Davis to achieve good possession. As a result, in the first half in particular, there were a number of fairly aimless balls punted up the park leading to a quick turnover in possession.
  2. We seemed to lose control of the game in the second half leading to a nerve-racking last 30 minutes with Hibs racking up a number of corners from which I thought they must eventually score from one of them. Thankfully, they didn't.
  3. One limitation in the starting 11 is the lack of noted goalscorers in the midfield or in the attack with the exception of Roofe. Perhaps Hagi will step forward with a goal tonight or maybe Tav and Goldson will continue their success in finding the net.
  4. The directors have spent considerable sums of their own money to support Rangers and move it in a direction which we as supporters believe to be desirable. This provides us with confidence that money invested by supporters in the club will be used for appropriate purposes(s); in other words, we trust the directors. However, from what I have read on this and other forums supporters are not over-whelming in their support for the way in which c1872 is run and therefore perhaps it is on that organization due diligence needs to be performed. In addition to the points made by Bluedell I would suggest the statement by c1872 also raises questions of the relationship between; c1872 and the board, c1872 and Dave King and the Board with Dave King.
  5. Rangers got it all together in this match though Glasgow City were a bit underwhelming, perhaps due to their midweek European match. The three players signed from Glasgow City have aded a bit of quality to the team. Strong performances from Lizzie Arnot and Sam Kerr and a goal coming from Girasoli, one of our defenders just like Tav/Goldson in the men's team. Overall, going full-time seems to have made a difference as we looked stronger and fitter than Glasgow City. The victory also means we have a double top; both our senior teams are top of their respective leagues.
  6. I think it is good that we are not as reliant on Morelos for goals and that he does good work in drawing defenders out thus allowing space for others. An issue for me with Morelos is that his layoff play is a bit inconsistent, excellent on some occasions and poor in others. I also feel that he has a tendency to wait on the ball coming to him rather than stepping forward to take the ball earlier. A final observation is that this this year he does not seem to be rag dolling defenders the way he did last season but this may be due to the change in how he is playing within our system or that defenders have become wise to that tactic. It would be useful to see his running stats for this year and a heat map of his on-field position.
  7. The result tonight was a good victory for us but I was a bit disappointed by Lech Posnan who didn't bring much intensity to the game. Nevertheless, the win keeps confidence high and the rest for some of our players will be helpful as we move on to Sunday to try and maintain our unbeaten streak against Dundee United.
  8. A good performance from the team today much better than in the previous two games. The return of Megan Bell and the quality shown by the three new acquisitions, who have added quality to the team, all helped ensure a comfortable win though it also has to be said that Motherwell were quite poor. A more stringent test of how far they have progressed will come in the next match when they play Glasgow City.
  9. Good performances from a number of players, Balogun, Borna, Kamara and so on but for me Roofe stood out for his tireless running to help the defence and of course his goal.
  10. The players put a lot into that game against a team that technically is better than us so a draw is a good result if disappointing because we were two nil up against them. I would have been more disappointed if we had lost four one and only had one point in the Europa league.?
