  1. 20% of FTSE 100 companies have a CEO who is an accountant, so quite a few are in the driving seat.
  2. I think it is a bit inaccurate to say Rangers dominated proceedings. They were the better team in the first half but Celtic were stronger in the second half. Both teams had opportunities to score but either didn't take them or good goalkeeping kept them out. Celtic seemed more inclined to defend and hit Rangers on the break where they looked dangerous. The Rangers attack was a bit disappointing, since although having the best of the first half they were unable to make the most of their chances. Vance, Hay (in parts) and Jenna Fife the goalkeeper were the players that stood out for Rangers. A draw would probably have been a fair result.
  3. There were a number of good performances. Whilst I agree that Kamara had a good game I thought the beginning of the game they were more threatening down our left hand side because he was not following Benfica's runners thus leaving Barisic exposed. I thought some of the layoff and hold up play of Morelos was very good, probably his best game for a while but overall, I felt, Davis just shaded being MOTM.
  4. Agree with comments of Dragonfly. Kamara a deserving MOTM.
  5. Good start to match with two early goals, unfortunately, thereafter, the team became rather sloppy in their passing and the game fizzled out. There were a number of reasonable/good performances but none of the players stood out for the full 90 minutes. For a steady and reassuring performance I have gone for Helander, with honarable mentions for Jack and Tav.
  6. The midfield were all very good but the number of times Tav was available to take the ball forward and attack the defence of Standard was outstanding and for that reason he is my man of the match.
  7. Lots of good performances but Kamara was the standout.
  8. Difficult decision because there were a number of players who had an excellent game but I think most credit should go to our back line who remained solid throughout. I thought Tav and Goldson were the standouts with the latter just edging it.
  9. Borna could perhaps have done better but prior to the cross both he and a Hibs player jumped for a ball which they both missed and this resulted in the ball going to the wing where Boyle? was free. Borna went to cover Boyle and perhaps could have got in a block but I think equally damaging here was that no Rangers picked up the Hibs scorer who had too much space in the box. As pointed out Davis was close to the goal and Arfield was behind the Hibs scorer, so basically he was not picked up. In the second Hibs goal you might argue that it all started with a poor ball by Goldson but then Tav had an opportunity to clear the ball but did not and then failed to stop the cross. I don't think Helander was at fault as the Hibs player had the run in and was jumping off that whereas Helander had a standing jump and this made it difficult to compete with the Hibs scorer. Overall, our defence did not appear as solid as usual and wondered if at times because we are so attack minded that when we are playing in a more open game, rather than against a low block, we leave ourselves open to counter attacks. In other parts of the game I thought we played some nice football but either just lacked that cutting edge or missed chances we should have taken. It was good to see Morelos scoring but I find him a frustrating player as his holdup and layoff play oscillates between being good and dire. With Roofe injured I don't think I would like him to leave especially since at the moment Itten still seems to be finding his feet.
