  1. you have to be over worked and fatigued before the above comes into play as you say. Lazy has a whole different set of rules.Sometimes you need to seperate the wheat from the chaff so it doesnt spoil the whole crop.
  2. said he was offered the academy directors job at southampton about a year and a half ago but wanted to stay to see the job through at Rangers
  3. imagine if they had had 2 or 3 years playing in there together in the lower leagues they would have ran teams ragged in the championship.
  4. yeah that's the real test, the playoffs may give us an indication. If he sticks with the youth through that and they don't let him down to badly it might convince him to put a couple of more experienced players in the spine to help them out in the spfl instead of the ally tactic of filling the team with hasbeens . I think the fan base is more inclined towards youth than it ever has been, i hope they have picked up on that and dont think the fans want the old style.
  5. true kenny brought them in, was just meaning mccall has had the gumption to stick with them.
  6. . To be fair to Mccall he has gave them a shot with murdoch, walsh and hardie all getting a game, guess you can throw in vuckic as a youth as well, whether that would continue after injuries clear up and the transfer window only he knows. Hope to see Gallagher soon, think he could score a few and be more mobile than the likes of boyd and miller
  7. yeah remember Sinclair departing and the shuffle with durrant and durie. Did the youth coaches ever get their contract hours put back up? I know they had dropped quite a bit not sure if it was ever fixed. speaks volumes for Mulholland if an academy like theirs is wanting him for such an important role. Here's hoping he can get the philosophy across and the club give it their full backing. The German model is hard to argue with very successful, personally would have preferred the dutch or spanish methods but german model probably an easier fit. Hopefully they produce some goals and aims and share them with the fans base. If the fans groups get the chance to financially back the youth academy it would be nice to see some sort of document produced highlighting the new training and ways the money could support new avenues. Would be great to see statistical analysis and a strong European scouting network to back it all up Agree its good to see Sinclair gone hopefully the cliques he used to encourage have went also. Interesting to hear Mulholland say he had cut some players for not wanting to train etc have heard before the attitude from some of them was pretty shocking and disrespectful to staff.
  8. back in november I think, was it not more a reshuffle?
  9. page 38 gives details of the bayern model which I think is the one we mean when we same german model! http://www.ecaeurope.com/Research/ECA%20Report%20on%20Youth%20Academies/ECA%20Report%20on%20Youth%20Academies.pdf
  10. well there is one bit confirmed at half time on rtv. A change of philosophy at murray park but the structure and personnel will stay as is. what do people think of the new philosophy? for those that missed it we are following the german model of pressing and playing from the back at tempo. Size will no longer be an issue. Under the stewardship of Mullholland ,durie and kirkwood came up with the model after looking round european models
  11. you never know mate could always be a big bag of cash hiding round the next corner, maybe for once our luck will change. Hopefully King gets passed and he opens up his wallet and sticks to his original word and the other investors relax and follow suit and we can rest happy with the £10-£14m covering the bills and kings cash to play with
  12. some of the players retained not all. Mccall will be manager next season no matter what league we are in depends what you mean by quality, they could be quality players but free. No transfer kitty will be given in addition to wage budget which will increase on last year, you could of course if he desired take some of the available wages and use it but wouldn't amount to any great amount of note. time will prove me right or wrong keep a note if you like.
  13. yup. the euro bit is meaning asome what larger transfer kitty, as in actually paying a fee for players posted on here a week or so ago that no other manager had/was being interviewed or any applications being looked was slagged at the time for it now PM has said as much in his interview ! as said earlier his hands are tied for now maybe the nomad will get on board and also the sfa and that will bring king and his cheque book in. One other possible investor wants security, that at present we don't have to offer but could always be rekindled although don't believe it was for a great amount of money in the scheme of things.
  14. Mccall will stay as manager (was always going to be the case.) several of the out of contract players are being offered new contracts as we speak. a few free signings are expected to the squad with the budget increased no scouting this year or next other than old boys network(nothing structural wise done on this) king not putting in any money unless passed fit and proper has been a falling out over covering the initial costs. king wants to de list others don't has left plans up in air no transfer budget this coming season season ticket price will be same no matter the league we are in there will be no major changes at murray park The funding raised through the share issue if it happens mid july(ish) will be used to cover the deficit for two years the major changes to playing squad and scouting will happen once we secure euro money the fans groups will be asked to help finance the upgrade of ibrox basically nothing new is happening in the next two years other than trying to divert another 15% to the wage budget for the first team.
  15. would like to see a couple where they are busting a gut and sweating buckets rather than having a chuckle
  16. I know a few people from within the club and a couple who work closely ,who tell me most of it and from listening to what's not been said along with what is being said. add it all together and cut out the chaff and rhetoric by measuring against actions we can all see taking place . PM's interview style is basically quite honest when you know a little background of what's going on. He tells the truth but is quiet skilled at making it sound all positive and what was agreed, while coming across as not a very skilled orator. If you listen back to his interview you will hear its all there but emphasis is put on positive future happenings to counter act any negative answer
  17. I like the fact he is instructing Calum Gallagher hopefully he gets a game soon
  18. To be slightly fair to PM what he wants to do is not the same as what he can afford to do, simply put the investment on offer is not enough at this moment in time in the short to medium term, to meet fan expectations. Agree they have the best of intentions but it seems like those intentions do not go all the way to the bank for some(for some it does), or as far as their preaching goes. Others want security that we basically do not have to offer which is understandable in context. The old between a rock and a hard place. What i hear is we are aiming to use the euro money as our long term strategy, for me a complete joke that helped get us in this mess in the first place. Euro money for me should be seen as nothing more than a bonus to be spent when and if it appears on infrastructure to push us into other new revenues streams, not be the backbone of team recruitment. Again its far better than before but is a new set of problems all be it with far less harmful consequences than having MA running things. the money from fans groups will go to upgrades at Ibrox if agreement is found the share issue income will be held to cover the deficit for the next two years until season ticket monies and merchandise income can be better estimated and balanced for the incoming years. Further short term investment will be required to cover the bills until st money covers through to the share issue if there is one mid july (ish) another season with the same basic team with some free transfers to supplement those not offered new contracts with Mccall as manager, going to be a long year. Scouting will be nothing more than the old players advising route, Murray park will continue as it has previously with no real changes that will excite the fans. No director of football or management team will be sought. Season ticket time will bring with it the new pr strategy of putting scouting and player recruitment in the hands of the fans, we need you to help us etc
  19. "and says the board have already started to implement plans for next season." that's the bit everyone should be paying attention to. Dont think there will be many happy bears when we all discover what that refers to
  20. we will wait for pre clearance before dk invests so as to not annoy the sfa but if he doesn't get clearance he will invest anyway. That makes sense!
  21. don't want them back in anyway shape or form. still doesn't mean no matter what the current board do it is for the best or the best possible. good grief!!! two wrongs now make a right do they!
  22. £15-20m needed! is that a joke? If he thinks he can get us back on a level good enough for that sort of investment he is a mile off. Covering the deficit will cost near on £11m over the next two years alone never mid the additional investment needed. Hope he is down playing so the real figure seems to surpass expectations. Have to laugh at trainer saying no figure was ever mentioned, guess we all made it up then and king never said £30m over 5 years and half what everyone else puts up told you we were not looking for any management candidates and will not do unless Mccall completely fails. Not getting promotion will not be counted as a failure, he will be measured completely on the opinions of the players and coaching staff. don't understand the "we are looking at different structures and ways forward" to then say "we are happy with the plan for next year" as far as i have heard the plan as such is to continue as is with several of the players offered new contracts. no scouting will be in place in advance of next season and the structure at Murray park has been deemed sufficient and only new ideas rather than personnel will be introduced. Its back to the old relying on european money to take us forward with the club running even on its income.
  23. yeah was talking about that earlier, couldnt see any real reason the sfa would care. they have proven time and again common sense dictates nothing and they will just quote king saying he would invest either way.
  24. definately an improvement atleast as you say the dam has been plugged and no more revenue is being lost than was already going to sd. a couple of very hard moves ahead for PM. Not his biggest fan but i dont envy him with the position he has found himself in. never good when you have to rely on the cards still to be dealt to lead the way. cant send out renewals till we know what league we will be in, king refuses to budge until fit and proper has gone his way, park and co not happy they are carrying the can on their own, agreement on the best way forward financially a mile apart and now needing to find new investment to cover the deficit all the while fans demand the improvements required on top.
