On Reflection I thought McCoist Did Well Yesterday
Super Cooper replied to amms's topic in Rangers Chat
He watched Mohsni making mistakes all match without once telling him to sort it out, never once told Foster to calm down and make sure his passes find a blue jersey instead of tangerine and he stood and watched Ian Black and Nicky Law hiding and being dominated in the centre of the park without demanding more from them. His substitution of Aird instead of Shiels was appalling, not to mention sticking Clark on at left wing, no, left half, maybe, inside left, possibly, only he knows knows where Nicky was supposed to be playing. Second half he got desperate and told or allowed the players to go back to the same old s*te we have seen all season. But aye, he done alright.- 40 replies

Sorry Rab, not sure what you mean by that, I wasn't saying they would mate.
-
Dundee Utds annual wage bill is around £1.5m. We had more wages sitting in the stands than that and easily 3 times it on the park.
-
Rhetorical question mate, we all know why.
-
So why hasn't something changed? Why is Allys pal still in charge there? Dinosaurs like Sinclair and Kirkwood. Ally has surrounded himself with his pals, Durie with the reserves, Durranty in the dug out......It's not about ability.
-
Frightening mate. Some of our fans still think we have a team of kids too. It's also the 4th time in a row they have knocked us out of a cup competition with Ally being involved with all 4. It's simply not good enough. It's actually rather embarrassing.

I thought Peralta was outstanding today mate. I was well impressed with him and i have been a big critic of him. Today was a different player.

Not one. Quite the opposite in fact, i could list about 2 squads worth who have regressed.

Any half decent coach would love to work with and develop both those players. The raw naturals are there if not the finished skill. We should be adding a dead ball ability to their game, better crossing, one on one skill to beat a man, working on these aspects of the game with them. Aird is as poor today as he was when he made his debut, he is learning nothing new. He is not developing.

It's something he has worked on, he always had lovely technique on the ball. He put the hours in in training throughout his career and it has been paying off. Just a shame he had to leave Rangers to get that in him but credit to him. Some of our youngsters would do well to take a leaf from his book. Fraser Aird for example is the same raw kid we seen break through over a year ago. All those hours training and the kid still has no skill, still can't beat his man and still can't cross a ball. Where is his desire to improve his game or is it the coaching he is getting? Ross Perry another, been at the club for possibly more than 10 years, well into his 20's and still isn't good enough. Why hasn't he progressed? Kyle Hutton, has added nothing new to his game over the years training at Rangers. Barrie McKay chose to train with his friends at a local amateur team to put more hours in because he didn't rate the training at Ibrox, also stating he prefers going away with Scotland to train because he gets more ball work and skill training. Lee Wallace has worked under Ally, Kenny and Durrant for almost 3 years now, is he a better player today than he was when at Hearts? What has he added to his game or improved to a level where we notice a marked improvement? I would say no and nothing. The set pieces Smudger brings are very welcome as you say we have been starved of that sort of ability for far too long.

Be careful tomorrow Bears. The Ralphie Milne Ultras are in town!

A failure on the part of the police then Brahim perhaps? -
Proposals would be as well being moonbeams, i don't want to hear any more false promises, i want to see action. Sound bites won't win me over or have me renew my book. Action required, not words.

His decision making is horrendous but then he isn't a very bright lad.
-
Tbf, he is one of the imposters we need to bin. He has no future here.

Wallace has also been caught napping at times when we lose goals. It happens.

I seen at least 3 pyros from the Utd end today. On the park. Will they be punised? -
We are a totally different team when we play football, it was the same under Walter, we could play football but the players were next to never allowed.
-
I agree with that.

MacLeod is completely untried at that level mate, we don't know how he would cope in that environment. Wallace on the other hand has been tried and tested there and passed that test. I don't fancy going up against Celtic with anyone in our current squad with the exception of maybe Wallace. I like Smith, i am not saying he is a better player than Wallace just that he done ok today and has scored two goals from set pieces recently, something we have all been wanting to see for years and years. He has a lovely left peg and fantastic technique which Wallace doesn't have. He done well for Aberdeen but wanted too much money to sign permanently.
-
It is but you understand what i mean Zappa. I don't see any underrating tbh just people shouting about how he is this and that which he isn't.
-
When was Lees last good game and one which he made a contribution like Smith has? Smith hasn't looked out of place and has actually contributed with some lovely balls into the box from open play, set pieces and scored two cracking goals. Bar bombing up and down the flank aimlessly what else does Lee do? The majority of the time his final ball is dreadful.
-
They make Svensson and Hemdani look like Gough and Butcher.
-
Arnold Peralta was the only pass mark today, he was outstanding, possibly Smith with pass marks as well but absolutely no one else. Black and Law are a disgrace in the middle of the park. So poor. Mohsni makes me angry watching him, a complete bomb scare and liability. Jig has been done for a long time. Daly looked up for it today but had next to no help, service or support. Aird tried but isn't nearly good enough. Foster started very well for the first 20 mins then went back to his usual mediocrity. A dreadful footballer. Shiels, got about but nothing really came off for him. Not match fit so was unrealistic to expect him to come in and be a match winner. So much needs to change going forward.
