  1. I just ignored that question because I don't think it is important enough to answer.
  2. One area where success is required, but not achieved, is player trading. The board have been stating this for a while.
  3. So not pointless. Glad these posts have not been an absolute failure.
  4. Not a good question. I said European football is one of the areas we need success before we can go further. Success in the other areas will have more impact.
  5. I think European success is a necessary condition for domestic success. This is based on where we started from when we got back to the top league. I think this explains why most of your two posts miss the mark. I'm not even talking about whether the number of trophies won is acceptable. I'm arguing that the failure has not been absolute and where there has been success it has been in one area where we need it before going any further.
  6. No. I'm not convinced. Also if you think the European money is the decisive factor (it isn't) then you will need to play some European matches. No. Without the money we would be further from our direct rivals. No. Only three teams win an actual European trophy in any year. Supporters of other teams enjoy it regardless. Besides if you think the money is important then you don't think mere participation is pointless. No. Bad transfers will happen at every level of success. One league title is not as good as more league titles, yeah, great. Maybe we would not have won 55 without the money, and experience, of the two previous years of European football. There is an answer for each point worth responding to so perhaps a bit premature to fantasise about posting such an elite gif.
  7. It is, without any doubt, interesting to say that the board over the last ~nine years have delivered a level of consistent success in Europe. This success is relative to our previous efforts and not absolute. Some people don't see that and describe the last nine years as an absolute failure. That's not accurate. Sadly not everyone will agonise over questions like is it best to make yet another innaccurate post or to say nothing?
  8. No. Don't waste any time thinking about it. They do not want to do that.
  9. Wasn't there a dedicated thread for broken records?
  10. 'mon the hoops
  11. All true. Nine in a row is like a giant fatberg clogging up the minds of many.
  12. I want Nescafe to sponsor us instead.
  13. Red Bull is rubbish.
  14. I'll be grinning like that if Ferguson gets the job.
  15. Everybody has a second team. Mine is Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona whereas you chose a team closer to Ibrox. Don't worry about it. You don't need to explain anything here.
  16. Short back and sides. No tattoos. Plain black boots.
  17. The poor fellow is knackered.
  18. Up until around 1965. Anything after that can be accurately described as bad. Even when successful, after 1965, the un-Struthian nature of it all turns the stomach.
  19. Yeah but it's a load of rubbish really.
  20. Pretty sure you can be born in Timbuktu and play for them provided you went through a youth system in the region.
  21. Mostly blue with some red and white details. See you all next year.
  22. A number of the listed candidates know the club, know the league and would do a job. Barry Ferguson is head and shoulders above all other candidates though. He knows the club best. He knows the league best. He would do a job best.
  23. Thelwell has a nose for a player. Mark my words.
  24. Regardless of who comes and goes we can all rely on Keith Jackson to be there to lead us around by the nose.
