Fair play to Kevin Clancy in his first OF match, he actually did ok. Despite all the noise about the Flanagan/Brown incident, I think he called it correctly. I thought it was somewhere between yellow and red, let's call it orange !...But in those circumstances, it has to be yellow.

Not sure but they might get away with it if Arsenal win the Europa League and qualify for next seasons CL. I wonder how long this new period of English club dominance of European competition will last ? Historically, it would last a few years before another country would take over but the financial background might change that.

The way we planned to set-up in the game would have had SG&Co expecting them to have a bigger % of the possession. It was as close to a perfect execution of a plan as you'll get in these type of games. Thinking longer term, it unfortunately showed up the opposition management team in a very bad light and on top of Gerrard finding a way to turn around the game at Parkhead (if not the result), ensures what I had suspected since he was appointed, that Lennon won't be there beyond the end of this month. That said, we need to concentrate on ourselves. Centre half Creative midfielder Centre forward (sell Morelos) Try and keep Tav Get Barasic firing Kent on loan, if not Woodburn -

Game at their place was one of two halves. The other 3 OF games have been very one-sided. We're conceded one less goal than they have over the four. The league was lost elsewhere but absolutely no-one can deny the significant progress that SG&Co have brought. -
If Man Utd finish in 6th,..by my reckoning they'd be struggling to complete their lucrative pre-season games because of EL qualifiers. That would be such a pity !

Didn't the Spanish city of Oranges (Valencia) give them a double going over aswell ? They've struggled against anything decent. Valencia 2 wis and 2 clean sheets Rangers at Ibrox: the same differnce being the game at their place. -

Goldson as well ! Tav is now level on goals scored (14) with a 9M pound striker but pishes all over him with assist numbers. I fully appreciate the mitigating factors but the manager has to deal with the reality. -

Excellent victory with no failures in the team. We didn't let them into the game and Foderinghm might a well have brought a book to read. I'm left thinking we missed a really good chance this season but that is past and we can look forward with some justified optimism. -

Excellent first half from all ! Once again, quality from Tav produces a goal. Slightly frustrating note is Defoe getting caught offside so much. Another goal would help the nerves. -

Do we set-up in the same way as of late or not ? Do we use the same players (goalkeeper apart) ? -------------------------- The easiest thing to do would be to go same again but I'm not convinced it'd be our best bet... but at the same time, I'd be interested to see how it worked against what is our biggest test within the Scottish game. We need everyone to come to the party but especially, that Davis and Defoe show their experience and quality. If they can help make a significant and positive difference today, it'd give me more optimism for next season. -
Whatever floats your boat, Darling !

I think you'd have to clear up the recent mystery fortnight double disappearance from the forum of Bill and Gonzo first...or you might be getting into politically correct difficulties... ....

You gotta laugh at this debate,...the new Sofia Coppolla? Comes down to Dirty Old Men being Dirty Old Men. Nowt wrong with that, most of us are.

You can only hide behind mitigating factors for so long and he crossed that line with his the sending off at Parkhead. -
Leave Robbo alone, he brings a 'Strong & Stable' quality to the table !!!

I'm looking at bet365 and both teams are 8/1 to score a penalty in the match. So wherever turf accountant Compo is getting those odds from is being miserly. The difference wrt penalties @bet365 is in the odds to miss a penalty,... we are 20/1 and they are slightly shorter at 18/!. This difference is down to stats or to put it another way, Tav and his excellent record. The B365 odds for there to be a penalty in the match are 5/2. For a red card to be shown it's 2/1, which is very short (but not as short as Compo's bookie). In your 'normal match' it'll range from 4/1 to 5/1.

The manager has to deal with reality, he doesn't post on a Rangers forum where perception varies along with buts and what if's. In the aftermath of the AM sending off in Ufa, I posted at the very end of the summer transfer window that SG had a decision to make regards Morelos. His decision was to back the player and any whispers of late August bids came to nought. Over the season, despite mounting frustration, SG continued to back his player but I think the Parkhead sending off was one too many for the manager and we've reached a grey zone point where the unconditional backing has been removed. It's now a matter of sort it out or you are of little use. Beyond Morelos, the sending off of McGregor hasn't helped the Colombian. It put's more pressure on SG to get a grip on the disciplinnary issue as a whole. No-one knows what'll happen next season if Alfredo stays but I reckon it's safe to say he'll have more competition for a starting place than the first half of this season and if he doesn't sort out his discipline, he'll probably be on the bench more than he has been accustomed to. On the other hand, if he were to sort it out, he may score 40 goals. The uncertainty would have me accepting a relatively decent bid this summer but I'm a messageboard poster and not SG. -

Forget the gutter press, this is now about the working relationship between the manager and player. The manager won't keep putting up with Morelos if he keeps doing stupid things that damage the team. -

We won't get close to 20M for Morelos this summer. By extending his contract, we put ourselves in a better negotiating position and opened up more the possibility of keeping him for next season. However, since then, the discipline issue has become more acute and I think the manager is one or two similar type sendings off from saying 'no more'. IMO it's now best for all concerned that he moves as early as possible this summer and unfortunately that would probably cost us somewhat re. transfer fee..... But if he stays and things go sour, it could end up costing us more. Some will say it could go the other way and it's possible but I don't think Scotland (certain things about it) and Alfredo are suited.
